EDIT: the fine is over Genshin legally so no action is required in star rail. Expect to see action taken in Genshin first. The keyword soup in the description and the fact this is the first I’m hearing of this makes me doubt it’s authenticity. Also the fact that $20 mil is a total slap on the wrist penalty.
I was about to say, they make 20m in about an hour on new banner day on any one of their games. like, this is not even a slap on the wrist, it's a wimpy breeze. FTC was taking what it could get I suppose.
If knowing the odds would make the game less fun for you then you don’t actually enjoy the game you are just addicted to gambling. Your brain is hooked on the dopamine you get from the possibility of getting something, not from the satisfaction of acquiring a cool new character
yep at least this kind of gacha have pity system at 80 and guarantee at the next pity, there are more gacha games with 200+ for pity or don´t even have pity system nor guarantee, at this point is obvious that they want Hoyoverse to hand their games for USA
you can still like the story while hating the gacha system. And I would say its reversed. If you know how the gacha works and dont despise it and criticise it, then you have a gambling addiction.
Bro 😭browndust 2 has the most shittiest gacha system ever i did like 500 pulls or something in one banner but don't even get the signature character some shitty other 5 stars instead come not once but FIVE TIMES be grateful for hoyo for their gacha system. Cause they have the best gacha system ever for all the games i played so far
Bro in ZZZ you have a wish counter and I love that on Honkai I gotta remember how much warps I did and it's tiring when I thought I hit 90 but was only at 80
To be honest, these changes are... minor at best. Most of the info is already available within the game, from the pity system to the gacha rates, even to the kids need parents to be able to spend their allowance. For a game that has existed for almost 2 years, it's not a big deal that their "gacha system doesn't have a pity counter" or "the rates of characters aren't displayed". The view details button is very obvious, and inside contains all the information about rates for 3 stars, 4 stars, and specific 5 stars. FTC really looked at the big company and went: "Hehe time for my MONEYYY!!!" and just listed the most random things and called it a day, like the "hide and seek minigame being targeted at children". Grinding for Jades is advised, not obligated, if kids can't afford it, don't.
2025 parents: my kids spends thousands of money for a videogame it must be the company fault not my angelic kid who stole my card. before 2000 Parents: touch my stuffs and you will know why they call me shooting sandal star
Well in reality its before 2000 parents are both what you wrote. The game makes you addicted. Thats the whole premise of gacha games. Making you addicted to the pulling and spending money. Thats why hoyoverse especially is making every form of events and shit ton of fomo instead of making the story progress. Heck Hoyoverse games have worse pacing than one piece anime and that has shit pacing xD
"It's like buying a pizza where you know exactly what toppings you're getting." BRUH. That is *THE ONLY WAY* I would ever buy a pizza. What are you talking about? Imagine buying a pizza where you DON'T know exactly what toppings you're getting. Are you mad??? :D
I’m sorry but I don’t know anyone who would prefer having random pizza toppings every time they want pizza. Sure maybe once in a while a surprise could be fun but 99% of people want to know what they are paying for

these are not my words its official
the fine should increase to 20 billion we know asian players incomes rival the richest ceo's
In honkai impact 3rd, you have a pity counter and on pity you are guaranteed to get the "5 star" character or weapon.
its a 100 max pity banner, so even though you are always guaranteed, getting the characters earlier is much less likely.
i won straight four 50/50 if it change then it should reset lucky me hahah😂
That’s peanuts for them
