And no shaft/ cardan final drive which means that the GS will continue being the preferred one for the majority of customers that buy these bikes.... I do not know how Ducati has not realised that yet...
The thing about shaft drives is that I have no control over gearing. With chain a sprocket I can modify the gearing to suit my preferred style of pickup versus top speed
Ducati is great at shopping parts from third party producers. Too bad Ducati still struggles to do the basic, like producing a reliable engine. Ducati should just embrace the shift to EV and go all in on electric motorcycles. Then Ducati can what Ducati does best. Shopping from catalogs. And Ducati owners could finally get reliable bikes that just work. All summer long, and to your touring destination and back home without getting stranded with a dead bike.
I had several bmw: 1150 rt, 1600 k gt, 1250 gs and 1250 gs adventure…and reliability is at top level…. I understand that you have never posses one of these ones….just stay japanese!!!….

He took it to the dealer where they changed the engine. The motorcycle broked after less than one thousand miles. I have KTM and it has a lot of problems. I also had Japanese motorcycles which did not require any repairs.
What has this Bike in common with the Term "Rallye" NOTHING! It's a simple Travel Bike! I hate what almost every Bike Producer want to build. A Bike you race MotoGP and Rallye Dakar. And probably win both. 😂 Get grounded again. I'm a Ducatista since 1990 and own a DesertX. This MST is something but not "Rallye" at all. Or does Rallye mean, riding with 270 km/h through Sand????

you will never see a high performance machine use a shaft or cardan, the just suck like the cow gs. You can not even compare this two bikes.

The bike still has the useless hand guards that break after the first drop…. It’s no way an assault on the GS…. still a soft off roader at best.
