- From Mr Robot season 1 Episode 3 "eps1.2_d3bug.mkv" Tyrell is enraged that Scott Knowles was chosen for CTO. To let off steam, Tyrell pays a homeless man to allow him to beat him. Cisco demands that Ollie infect Allsafe with the same CD. Elliot believes he is done with fsociety. Tyrell seduces his boss's male secretary and installs software on his phone. Attempting to be more normal, Elliot asks Shayla to accompany him to a party, she accepts and they become romantically involved. During the party, fsociety leaks E Corp's emails that incriminate Colby for covering up a toxic waste leak that caused leukemia in Elliot's father and Angela's mother. Tyrell ties up his pregnant wife and ball-gags her upon her request. Ollie confesses both his infidelity and Cisco's demands to Angela. Fearing identity theft, she wants him to infect Allsafe with the CD. Elliot returns to fsociety. Allsafe CEO Gideon Goddard becomes suspicious of Elliot's story regarding the E Corp attack, and begins to investigate.

Rewatching this is so eye opening. You can see how Darlene is so confused because she doesn’t realize he’s forgotten everything at this point. To her it’s just her brother but to Elliot its a semi stranger in his house. It’s so cool noticing this stuff.

She got kidnapped by Vera's goons as a hostage to help get him out of Prison. Elliot threatens them back and says they better not do anything to her. When he helps free Vera, Elliot demands her release and Vera said that what he wanted to save had been much closer then he knew. Vera tosses Elliot a key to the car they used to arrive to the prison to break him out in. She had been dead in the trunk the entire time.

Imagine being the actual overqualified, useful IT guy at a school or hospital, and you entertain yourself by honey potting aspiring attackers and owning them.

I think even if she said that, Elliot (and most of the audience) would dismiss that as a cheeky remark because of the way her character speaks.

The cinematography, the story, the cast, the dialogues, this will always be one of the best series if not the best series of all time.
I loved the attention to a detail. He talked to Shayla, refused drug test and asked for his psychiatrist off screen and didn't remember anything. It wasn't the anesthesia, Mr. Robot was taking control already at this point.
The real Elliot talked to Shayla, realized the mastermind personality had taken over and tried to tell Krista but Mastermind regained control.

No series will ever top this for me as much as I enjoyed breaking bad, not even that
I think part of it is the connection that the audience has with Elliot. He narrates everything to us as a way of coping with his surroundings, he lets us in to the parts of his mind and heart that he would never let anyone in. He created us for the sole purpose of sharing with us.
We never get that with Walt/Heisenberg. The story of Breaking Bad is incredible, but I never thought that I was Walt. I never related to his pride, his insatiable quest for power, his methods. Was I interested? Yes. Was I sympathetic? Never.
Elliot’s story was a deeply broken man trying to fix the deeply broken world he lives in. It’s a story about a man trying to cope with his weaknesses and vulnerabilities in a world that systematically targets and exploits those weaknesses. While he embraces them, Walter elects to outright get rid of any vulnerabilities he has. The story of Elliot Alderson and the story of Walter White are opposite of each other. Elliot learns to let go, Walt refuses.
Mr. Robot impacted us so deeply because Elliot willingly shares with us and brings us along. We form an emotional connection with the characters because we are as much part of that world and that journey as Elliot is.
This is why no show can ever top Mr. Robot in my heart and mind. People are free to disagree, but Mr. Robot is the perfect story for people today and tomorrow.
Breaking Bad is the most overrated series ever

@@nakuljirwankar5540 one of the best shows i have watched and I can't stand television. It requires a lot of attention, if you missed one episode you would probably be really confused. Season 2 is by far the best season with three being a very close second. All the actors do a great job, I don't think there was a single one that I didn't like. There's one in season 2 that does a crazy good job, I don't want to spoil who it is, I've only ever seen him in comedic movies and to see him in serious role just totally blew my mind. You'll know who it is when you see him.
TLDR
Great show, great acting, can't recommend it enough. Hope you and anyone else enjoys and don't spoil anything for yourself

Hmmm. I wonder how much longer Elliot would continue to use morphine if what happened to Shayla didn’t happen. The withdrawals he got before the Steel Mountain job were what helped him quit cold turkey, but I think Shayla is also the reason he didn’t relapse for as long as he did.

In 5th grade we bypassed our school computers "no game, no fun Website block thingy" I was barely able to open the console but that was still enough to bypass their system, so this show accurately portrayed how bad some hospitals, schools etc are build against hackers
its not a massive deal if some students look at blocked websites, so its hardly comparable to the massive privacy and security risks in a hospital network

The scary thing is this show showed how easily some computer systems/networks can be hacked. In 2017, the NHS (National Health Service) in the UK was hacked because the systems were using Windows XP which wasn't even being supported by Microsoft by that point.
As someone who is support report I can tell you that most hospitals and most gov administration are like this. This is a well known fact for every hacker , this is why gov admin is usually the first place they learn to hack. Stuff like public libraries , schools , municipal websites and stuff are child's play.
They always run the oldest and cheapest equipment that is never even firmware upgraded. That's what you get when you hire 1 part time sys admin to handle everything and you don't give him a budget to buy new stuff.
Data loos due to mass drive failure on old HDDs is pretty much Thursday in some municipal administrations.

my high school had a computer class where they taught CMD and other basic tech knowledge. I used to "hack" onto the network and whitelist my phone for internet all the time. Only stupid mistake I did was blacklist all the mac addresses from the internet as a joke for them to set up a password for me to be too lazy to find

The whole thing with Shayla not knowing what to do for money because Vera was busted is such a plot hole. She had suggested in other episodes that she had multiple connects and as far as we know she reached out to Vera just to get Elliot suboxone. Now he goes and it's like her whole business disappears with him. Always irked me.

Well, nothing is airtight waterproof rock solid perfect. I've not seen the show, though these clips are convincing me to. Is this just a pet peeve, or an example of a wider lack of consistent plot?
@@Trickyboy1337 in my opinion, the show have some nice scenes and some of then are purely a piece of art, the main idea behind the plot is not very unique, although It’s one of my favourite topics, there are many other plot holes that don’t make sense, like this is happening just bc it is written like that yk there is no logical continuity behind it, I don’t want to have a very strict opinion on this since I still think I should rewatch some episodes again to form a solid opinion about it

And the situations I’m thinking of are in the last few episodes. I’d really recommend the show I don’t typically even like serial story telling and Mr. Robot was great

Definitely not the case. It was always planned to be no more than 5 seasons. There are clips on this channel from all seasons. The entire series is amazing, and if you haven't seen all of it yet, I'd definitely suggest watching the entire series. It's a masterpiece - probably the best show I've ever seen in my entire life.

Yeah, it's hard to explain but it might be the best cable tv show ever written, it's incredibly intelligent and relevant to alot of ideas and theories that have recently become more prominent. You have no idea what you're watching at the beginning and the story reveals itself to you on various levels, the fact you have the opportunity to unknowingly binge watch it from the beginning is an incredible privilege
It's one of the greatest TV series ever created. The less you know about it going in, the better. Just watch it.
