Yeah, and South Korea is “totally” a “democracy.” The history of Korea is far more complex than this video, depicts it as (which no hate to the creator I can’t blame them for falling pray to the lies of mainstream media). - The original reasoning behind the split between the north and south can be attributed to imperialist Japan’s occupation on the country (if you want to know how “friendly” the Japanese were to the Koreans, I suggest you look into what “comfort woman” were). Basically, North Korea was established as a revolutionary workers state, fighting against the unjust rule of the Japanese. At the end of World War II, the axis powers were, mostly, defeated. Soon later, the Cold War begins. The US sides with the Southern puppet state, (which btw still appointed many of the Japanese war criminals). While the USSR sided with the revolutionary north. Who attacked who first is a trivial annotation often brought up, as in reality, both sides were constantly antagonizing each other. Moreover originally the north was more prosperous than the south, however, with the Korean war and over 20% of the entire population in the north killed, (plus most of their infrastructure being demolished), modern day North Korea-is an absolute s**t hole. In short, yes, North Korea sucks but this is not an excuse for the hyperbole you see constantly pushed by mainstream media.

This video was beautifully edited and composed but I can't get past the deep-rooted propaganda that you based your conclusions. North Korea was sanctioned following the Korean war, which was a fight over the Korean people's land rights. The Soviets and US used it as a gross proxy war, but the end result was North Korea being leveled by US forces. American pilots complained that there weren't any buildings left to bomb! The Western sanctions were ruthless and barred North Korea from participating in the global economy. As they feared more Western-backed violence, the logical step was to build nuclear armaments to protect their sovereignty. They have yet to exert any of that force, unlike the bloodthirsty Western regimes. Portraying their desire for less sanctions as a part of an evil plan is frankly gross. If your country is sanctioned and your economy is cut off from the world, of course you're going to want to fix that. They're still human beings who want prosperity. And they've openly stated how they want peaceful relations with South Korea and the rest of the world. Don't fear monger just to get eyeballs. Also, the male guest you interviewed, Sung-Yoon Lee, couldn't help but bring up how hot he thinks Kim's sister is every single time he talked. It was weird and gross, and more importantly provided zero meaningful analysis of her power in North Korea. Bonk. That was almost as bad as the lady, Su-Jin Chun, saying that we need to be scared because the North Korean media published a photo of Kim Jong-Un and his daughter(???). Again, zero analysis of why that could be a sign of negative things to come, just going purely off vibes. Beautiful video, but this content seems grossly misaligned with any mission of journalistic integrity. In no way, shape, or form do I like North Korea or Kim's regime, but if you're going to make a video being critical of their sexism(?), maybe don't make it about the second most powerful person in the country being a woman while also leaving out miles of more meaningful historical context.
