    This bike is a win for Kawasaki. What you have here is a bike that makes more power than all the 599 supersports, looks great, and has a cheaper MSRP. Mommy I want one

    I started on a 2022 Ninja 650…. 3 months later I was itching for the ZX-6R, I bought the black/red Diablo version. It’s freaking wild. However th e dealer told me the quick shifter only works shifting up. They said it doesn’t shift down.

    • @PalsGarage
      @PalsGarage ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yeah if you want to quickshift down you would need a auto blip which i cant find if they sell any but im sure you can find someone to add it on

    • @htehgamer645

      How different is it from the 650 torque wise on low rpms? I’m in the same position as you just bought a 650 but want to get a zx6r, just wanna get an idea what I should expect compared to the 650 which has a pretty damn good torque all the way through.

    • @zphayde
      @zphayde ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@htehgamer645 just by the nature of the engines I'm gonna say the 650's gonna feel a lot stronger at those lower RPMs, like the ZX6R has torque there, but with inline 4s in general it's basically the snooze button until you get in that upper half of the rev range, like even in the Z900 which has incredibly good torque down low considering, it's still offline until about 6k and up, which can be beneficial anyway if you wanna just have something that's polite when it needs to be.

      Can I start on a zx-6r?

    • @zphayde
      @zphayde ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KingDiamondBones can and should are two different questions; it's an incredibly potent bike that will quite literally leave you behind given the opportunity. Aggressive seating position and a fairly unforgiving platform. I've seen folks pick worse starter bikes and survive, but I've seen a lot of similar bikes being sold by next of kin.

    I think your description is all accurate and calling it “focused” like you did (for road riding) is probably the best way to describe it. I’ve had this bike for 2 years and it is an absolute pleasure to ride, but you do have to pay attention to all of your inputs because of how sensitive it is. Of course it becomes second nature after a while, but on those days where you’ve been out for a few hours and are starting to get tired (or more likely frustrated with traffic), this bike does not reward lazy riding or abrupt inputs.

      the rs660 will be infinitely less reliable (not saying the rs is necessarily unreliable, but comparing a leaky and squeaky italian bike to a tried and true bulletproof japanese bike is always bad news for the italian) but is more well equipped in general. if the rs660 was dead reliable like the japanese bikes, it would be a home run.

    I am actually looking to buy the zx6r as a daily and occasional track day ride, was looking over some options to improve ergo for the daily and riser clipon handlebars from apex/impatech is something that seems could help, any suggestions? Can I get a more comfortable ride going to that option?

    • @PeterLoweOne
      @PeterLoweOne  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not too well versed in the exact brands, but yes, higher clip ons would be the way to go if you're still considering track days. If you didn't mention track days, or if the overall bike wasn't a dream bike for you, I'd consider something like a Z900 for speed and more comfort, but it sounds like you know what you're looking at.

      So there is no more Z1000 anymore, but there is a Z900 and Ninja 1000SX. I have reviewed the Z900 a few times, and will be coming back to it again and again. The Ninja 1000SX should show up in the coming week or two, I definitely will be getting that one on video as soon as I can. The biggest difference in riding either the Z900 or Ninja 1000SX is rider comfort. They're set up to be road going bikes more than a track going bike. The power delivery will be different too. There are quite a few differences overall. Each of those are also heavier than the ZX-6R as well. Stay tuned for future reviews on these bikes!

      Depends on what your looking for in the 2 different bikes…If you wanna go for light weight, comfortability, great power go with the 2007-2008 Cbr 600rr. The Kawasaki Zx6r 636 is a wonderful bike, it’s a lot faster “hints the extra 36cc’s” opposed to the 599cc Honda CBR. It’s also pretty uncomfortable. Just like the guy said in the video above. It’s also not too light. “428LBS” & it sets kinda high. BUT , the power & performance is amazing. I own a 2014 Kawasaki Zx6r 636 & a 2007 Honda Cbr 600rr. Over all, I would go with the Honda for street riding “only the years of “2007-2008” because of it being light weight & extremely comfortable. But if you want power/speed, go for the Zx6r….Hope this helps somewhat.😅 For some history, “Check out Hero RR’s TH-cam video called (History of Honda)..it will explain why the years 07-08 is the best 600rr even to this very day, cause of the power to weight ratio”. . Whatever you end up choosing, stay safe & enjoy the ride my friend.🤙🏽

      @@PeterLoweOne That’s crank right? I own a 2014 Zx6r 636 (ABS), I’d say it’s only about 112hp-113hp to the rear wheel tho stock tho…I’ve only did a K& N air filter & a MGP Growler slip on exhaust to mine…Absolutely love the thing. Although I love the new color ways the 19-23 models come in, I think the 2013-2018 Zx6r’s look better…I could just never get over that pointed front end. If they took the tail section off the 2019-2023 & put it with the front end of the 2013-2018 gen’s…Geeez, that would be the perfect looking Kawasaki Zx6r ever made! • @TheBrawlmastah

    TFT is the worst kind of lcd screen. IPS or OLED are way better. I don't know why everyone in the motorcycle industry loves saying a TFT display. They just repeat the marketing garbage. LCD sounds better once you realise tft is the cheapest type of lcd. Happy to see this has a nice analogue gauge for the tach. It would be a shame to remove that for a cheap lcd display. The tach is great on the xz6r, all the changes they're making these days are pretty poor choices. No improvements since my 2013 zx6r

    It’s a great street squid bike to show off and have fun with, you can most definitely tour around with it, it’s not the best but it’s very doable, the whole “beginner bike” concept varies if you are the type a guy that wants to tour around put some good miles on it, go on actual chill rides, this is not a good beginner bike BUT if you want to go full street squid, take it to the track from time to time, red line it, show it off etc this is a great beginners bike at a very reasonable price as well, it all comes down to your “Ego” this is a very fast and powerful bike still, I can’t stress this enough, as a street squid my self on this same bike if your ego is bigger than your balls “do not get on this bike” unless your perfectly fine getting on some wrecks, breaking a few bones etc. It’s a good, very safe and fun bike but it all depends on the guy behind it, slowly learn the bike before your ego starts to inflate, it will also a lot better understanding what being a responsible safe rider and in a few years you can go up to a Zx10r+, all in all it’s a great bike to learn in and have fun, worth the price with ABS, you most definitely have to take it to the track or twisty roads a few times to enjoy it at its full potential, a few things I would consider after purchasing this bike: get full gear, a steering damper, change to more suitable street tires “if your going to be putting more miles out on the street” get your ECU flash unlocked “if purchased at full amount” (if not suffer the consequences). I would recommend getting a new and loud exhaust, this bike is loud but just not loud enough for idiots out on the road, and that’s about it it’s a pretty complete bike considering how good of a price it sells for
