Sarah, what a fantastic idea to roll the seeds in a piece of cloth covered in soil, wonderful I had never seen before. I will copy you. Thanks for your suggestions. You are great. Cris
Wonderful!
Yes. I want to try it too. I’ve had such a trial sprouting seeds here.
@@tamardevane6635 me too i am always so sad when a mouse gets to all my seedlings
@@tamardevane6635 me too i am always so sad when a mouse gets to all my seedlings
Yes, this rolling the seeds...that I will copy! Thanks for sharing! Have a great week! 🌱☀️💚
Poor Timmy, I hope his paw is better. Those piglets are clever wee things. Rupert & Peppa story deserves a children’s book!
Agreed; poor Timmy!
L&S, do the hens/even confused Rupert eat the banded millipedes/centipedes? I imagine that their colouring warns predators off, or experience teaches them not to have a go - but something has to eat them! It's only natural... Perhaps Luke has a recipe?
I think my cat ate a baby one last night! Not sure how it got in the house UPSTAIRS, but i was thankful it was only a little mire than an inch long and the width of string ibstead of goving stings. It got crunched and swallowed by kitty.
I am going to attempt a children's book this summer ,I have so many started, but never the time to see keep at it but I will give it a good shot this year x x
Actually I have seen Sunny our biggest chicken eat one a few years ago and was worried that she would get sick or stung because the centipede didn't go without a fight but she was OK but I also haven't seen her eat another one since then.
Oh wow ..your kitty is crazy 🤣,Timmy eats a lot of little critters but there are some he will never go near
Sarah has got the half wild boar piglets trained. Amazing 🤣😂🤣👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
🤣semi trained so hopefully they will impress their new families
@@lukeandsarahsoffgridlife I am sure they will❤
4 more baby chickens, hope they make it. Peppa seems to be ok with Rupert staying with the babies and watching them. Was surprised the piglets sat for a bite, they are pretty smart too. Bet Luke is really glad to get all the stremming done, looks so much cleaner around the ruin. Like the way you started planting your seeds to keep insects from eating them. Might have to try that one. Take care and will wait until the next video.
Oh yeah, Luke was so over it by the end of it 🤣but it was so worth it because every year the soil gets better with all the mulch and new wild flowers that we never had are popping up everywhere which makes springtime all the more beautiful
Those little piggies are just too cute!! Only you Sarah could teach them to sit 🥰 can’t wait to see them all sat in a line with Timmy and Molly. The comfrey plant you gave me is just about surviving and I’ve planted it in our veggie garden 🤗 hopefully it’ll grow abundantly like yours! Hope to see you guys soon 😘😘😘
PS I love the thumbnail 😊
🤣 that would be an accomplishment, because every time they see Timmy they chase him🤣🤣 I have more comfrey plants for you if you want❤️❤️
@@lukeandsarahsoffgridlife omg, i just can just imagine in their baby kuneboarlet voices shouting "let's get da kitty!" Poor Timmy 🤗
What a fantastic video, planting, strimming and a catch up with the animals , looking forward to next week ❤
Glad you enjoyed itx x
You two are truly amazing. XXXX
I love the way you are with your animals❤
P.s. I've seen someone clip bottom leaves off tomatoe sprouts and lay the roots plus that bottom stem in a little trench. Then gently bend the top up and soil around it! They said you will get bigger and healthy tomatoes because more roots grow from those tiny stems you create. Ultimately creating more roots to grab all that good nutrients up into your plant. Great job with the material! Wayyyy easier! 😊❤
Thanks for this Chris❤️❤️
@@lukeandsarahsoffgridlife No problem0:) 🇨🇦😍
I can attest that it works. My friend does it that way and grows huge, productive tomato plants. 👍
love the seed roll idea, good luck with all the planting, nice to see it all strimmed hard work but great result, thank you
So nice of you
Clever. Clever Mommy, clever Daddy, clever babies, clever Pepoa, clever Rupert, clever chickens, clever Timmy, cleverest Molly doll.
Rolling the seeds in cloth with soil is such a good idea! Thanks for sharing that handy tip
You are so welcome!
Piglets are cutely clever understanding commands.
Awe, poor Timmy, my baby❤! I love the little chick's, especially the solid color ones!!❤ The little piglets look funny just running by Luke, 😂😂! It's like, Mommy has the snacks!! I can't believe, Rupert stayed at the pig house the entire time they were gone! I bet that was a whole day of walking them down there and getting them back!! Luke did such a tremendous job!! BRAVO!! I Love it when you show the ruins because I get to see my old lady room. And have my little patch of Tomatoes and Cucumbers not to far where I can haul a bucket of water! My future looks bright indeed! ❤❤ LOL!! With Timmy keeping the mice and critters away, sleeping at the foot of my bed! ✝️🙏❤🇺🇸🇵🇹👣☘🤗🎵🎶🎶🎵
well you have a wild imagination🤣🤣
@@lukeandsarahsoffgridlife I'm still trying to trace that DREAM.......SOME HOW!!! LAUGH OUT LOUD!!!🤣🤣🤣
Hi Sarah and Luke! I love sooo much when you take Peppa and the kids out for a walk! Luke, the plateau and your future home, the ruin, are looking great without all the brambles! My goodness, almost two months of strimming every day! Poor Timmy, is his paw getting better in the meantime? Sweet Molley's tender singing is so cute! Lots of love to all of you and thank you so much for sharing all these wonderful videos to us.
Thank you so much Sylvia !! Timmy is ok again 😁and yes Luke is definitely over the strimming for this year but it was all worth it when we look around and see all the beautiful terraces, canals, boulders and terraced walls
Great video!! Big hugs for amazing Molly, and Timmie with his ouchy paw. Hope he heals up fast.
Love the new little chicklets 🐥😍.
Sarah, I knew you get those wee piggies trained!! Who else ever trained such piglets? Only Sarah!! 😁!!
I never realized what a great spot the ruin is in til now when you filmed it so well. Luke has done a fantastic job with all the strimming.
And, Sarah your seed starting method is brilliant. I'm going to share that with my super-gardener friend.
Have a lovely week guys. 🥰🌿♥️
♥️♥️ awesome x x I will let you know how the tomatoes turn out . Yes the ruin is on a plateau with such a breathtaking view it is going to be such a great day when we start working on it ❤️❤️❤️
Great idea re cloth-roll seeding. Land clearance by the ruin looks fab. Be careful Pepper will mate with a wild boar again letting her roam.
Yes 😁❤️ we read that she wont mate until 3 weeks after weening her kids so she is getting some freedom while she can
Amazing strimming work Luke, Sarah great idea for seed germination and Molly sings beautifully.
♥️♥️♥️
CANT WAUT until you start on your home.
Molly is so sweet 🥰🥹
Sarah you amaze me at how you can train any animal to sit, turn around etc and it was so cute watching the piglets. Can not believe Rupert stayed behind while Peppa and babies had their walk. That was a great idea to start seeds will give this a bash with carrots and see how it works. Never seen this done this way before with a cloth. Thank you for sharing this tip. Sarah and Luke have a lovely day.
🤣yes Rupert did not feel brave enough to venture out . Wish you all the best with this growing season ♥️♥️
Love your channel. Love all the animals, their like one big family. 💚
Thank you so much!❤️❤️❤️
Great way of germinating your seeds!
Hi Luke and Sarah,
I hope you're both keeping well and poor little Timmy is ok ❤
That is as fantastic idea for the seeds Sarah, I love all these things I learn from you!
I think Rupert and Peppa are together for life now lol, it's just beautiful how they are. just amazing how you teach the piglets too,
Great job as always with the clearing Luke, I can imagine you're so over it now, Just really wish I could've made rit out to give you a hand, maybe when it cools down!
Thanks for another great video guys, take care ❤
Yes they really have a special bond, Rupert cant stand being without her 🤣An extra pair of hands would have been great but a friend is coming to help out next week and we will take a rain check for your helpful hands😉 when the weather cools down again😁❤️oh and Timmys paw is back to normal size again
@@lukeandsarahsoffgridlife They are just the sweetest ♥️that's great news as I have felt bad, but I'm sure you'll need help with something in the future😊
That's great news about Timmy, So glad his paw is better ♥️
Fantabulous, hilarious video guys ❤❤❤
Just love the way you have taught them to sit - I used to keep pigs and they are definitely no different to dogs love this video xx
Yes they are! Some more attentive than others but all super cute and smart
Luke - you are a strimming machine. The land looks beautiful. Well done.
Thank you ❤️❤️
Wonderful video thank you for sharing 😁
Oh 💜MOLLY💜 darling you are just amazing. Chatting with your Mama and Daddy about your day 😊 Sarah that's such a clever way to prepare seeds. I love how you've taught the baby Piggies 🐷 to sit for a treat, just the cutest little things. Loyal and funny
🐓RUPERT🐓 adds laughter to the mix. Your land is looking so good with all the strimming and clearing Luke's been doing. Are you going to restore the ruin and live there?
Thanks Louise and yes living in the ruin is the dream, due to funds, we have not been able to start it yet ,but we will 😀❤️❤️hopefully after the outdoor kitchen is ready and we are set up for volunteers
@@lukeandsarahsoffgridlife oh how exciting that you'll include volunteers to help. That'll be a huge help for you and Luke!
Well done completing the strimming, Luke, and with strimmer intact at the end😁👏🏽👏🏽. That was a mammoth job.
He is a trooper and a machine 🤣❤️
@@lukeandsarahsoffgridlife He certainly is that and some😂
Get well soon, Super Timmy!
He always deals with stings like such a champ ❤️❤️
Es que son lindos hasta más no poder... ahuuuuuu🎼🎵🎶🐶💛✨️
🤣🤣❤️❤️
Are you not frightened that Pepper will get pregnant with the wild bore again, Rupert is the most adorable chicken ❤
Molly is such a daddy's girl😁❤❤
She really is♥️♥️♥️
Lovely Molly, we love her ❤
Delightful video. Thank you 🙏🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
Just a suggestion Sarah .. when planting your seedlings plant them so the two leaves just sit about 2 and half centermetres above the soil . It will create better bigger roots and much stronger plants ❤
Thanks for the tip ❤️🤣
As always some great new ideas with the seeds and after the last week on the tractor I still don't know how you both do it. Nice to see Luke a little less relaxed in this video too 😳
It was a hard couple of weeks for him but summer is soon here and there will be plenty of time when it is just too hot and the only way to get through the day is to relax and take it easy ❤️❤️❤️
We know - it is just making sure everything is clear and organised in such a way that the infrastructure does the hard work for you and I have you and Luke to thank for the wicking beds that have enabled that for us. I can't relax with out clear land.

Wonderful😍 we've had chickens here in the Netherlands as well, you're doing great things there in Portugal!
Thanks 🤗
Waaawww the piglets are getting big....and smart 🥰 i was almost sure that Rupert would have traveled on Peppa's back, just to not stay by himself... maybe next time 😉 your chickens are mellow Sarah... I can't touch my chicks when they have babies. Luke...a lot of hard work...but the land looks amazing. Well done mate 💪💪💪 ooohhh and Sarah, that thing with the seeds is a great idea 👌 big hugs
Thanks Carole x yes so smart and cute hopefully we will find them homes soon❤️😁
I love your videos so much they really do make me laugh, you are all so funny. Thank you for making them ❤
I'm so glad!❤️❤️❤️
Hi, every time I see the pig houses I think they are so beautiful in their spot as though they grew right out of the earth. The seed roll in genius! I’m trying it. Thanks guys! ❤️🫶🏻
It is definitely such a beautiful structure to sit and look at♥️♥️♥️
Hahaha...ah Molly
👌👌👍
Great video! ❤ So full of life
Hi Sarah. Recommendations nowadays are to NOT eat any part of comfrey. They do contain some serious hepatotoxic substances (causing severe liver damage). It is, however, still an excellent poultice ingredient for painful joints, etc. It is also a very good compost accelerator. 😂Just luv your piggies, that's part doggie & part kitty!❤
♥️♥️♥️Thank you, and about the comfrey yes you are definitely right. i am aware that you should not eat the leaves but i think the flowers are OK..I will do more research 😀
Where's your Belgium buddy? Sorry can't remember his name. Has he done all the plotting on your land? Looking forward to seeing when you'll be able to bring your dream for the ruin into reality. No rush....just love seeing restorations!
Dirk lives in Belgium and comes over when he can, This year we are building our outdoor kitchen and hopefully by next year we will be set up properly and can have volunteers staying here who will be able to help us move along with our ruin restoration project
Very nice strimming job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Omg, baby pie has Maggie's smarty oants genes! And a few of Peppa's are showing kune kune smarts, too. Wow, free range kuneboarlets! The Daddy Checkpoint 👍🏼. Wow, great strimmingpalooza, Luke!
Molly getting her eau de cut grass 😄. And getting the dday in position for a big Molly cuddle 😊.
Love your comfrey nurturing and tea making, Sarah. They do give pretty flowers... that i ddnt know you can't eat! 😃
That was fun, guys. Thank you 🤗. Thoughts for your pal Lourdes who falld down go boom... getting a rep as a bad patient at the E.R. (heh, heh, heh 😏 welcome to my world) but now becoming known as the smiley toofy-less (bc some fell off the day before she fell 🤦🏻♀️) LOUD deaf lady at the therapy facility she's bern transferred to for 1 week. Go, mom! 💪🏼👩🏼🦳
I am so sorry to hear about Lourdes, I hope she isn't in too much pain and heals quickly ♥️♥️ yes the piglets are cute and smart so I hope we manage to find them all homes soon ❤️❤️
Thank you, sweet ones 🥰
You will find them all homes, i'm sure. Who doesn't want a smarty pants kuneboarlet??!
Love watching you your piggies, your Rooster and your dog. They are so intertsining.
Your hubby is a great hard working man and so are you but not a man! Lol. Love your channel. It's very uplifting for me to watch you guys. I know if I live there, we would be great friends. Your big baby piggy who sits I think it's gonna be a keeper for sure. You're piggies are getting so big. Great to know about comfrey! Up a New York State, it grew wild in patches. But I've never seen anybody really propagate it. Good to know though. Comfrey tea as fertilzer then??
Yes I do hope baby pie doesn't get too rough with Peppa so we could keep her ,only time will tell but she is a good listener ❤️❤️ and yes comfrey is a magic plant to have In the garden , it is such a great all round beautiful plant, easy to maintain and comes back every year jn abundance ♥️
🌹🌹❤🌹🌹
Saw you on Ben Fogle, love what you do

Thank you x We found them homes and are now looking for homes for Peppas
another great job done, lett the summer begin. love to see these baby's they are so big now, are you keep them?
Thanks x x No we will not keep them we are trying to find them homes and we will just keep Baby Pie for now Maggies little girl
@@lukeandsarahsoffgridlife awww i love that
Pigging love Molly! The last couple of minutes were superb - dare one mention love between animals and humans?
Luke, what incredible hard work you have put in. However, I am extremely worried about your missus: Sarah is wearing matching boots! Is there a problem? I haven't seen that before. Is it a cry for help? A sign to say she is having twins? She has bought a new pig from Cindy Vine? Knows what Dark Matter is and has the maths to prove it?
🤣🤣 I do wear matching boots too , sometimes. I am glad you enjoyed Mollys special singing segment ♥️♥️
🤣
Sarah I don't see any product link to support you. Please help. Granny South Africa❤
Hi Granny ❤️❤️ we did not have a product in this video so not sure how to help ..
You mean in this video description, Granny? How about in their channel's "About" page? Should be good info around here somewhere 👍🏼.
Hi Sarah, during hunting season would hunter enter your land?? I sure hope not .
We have hunters every week on Thursday and Sunday morning and they never really come onto our land but sometimes they have a group hunting session and they do come onto our land but they also come and tell us to keep our pigs inside on the day . They are really nice around here and hunters have never been a problem for us , they would never shoot our kune kunes but of course if baby wild boar where to get close they wouldn't know that they were our friendly ones .
They must wear tags that say in Portuguese "Command me to SIT. Have treat ready."
Or the plaque might say "Grandpiglet of Luke & Sarah".
Printed on high vis safety vests.
If you let Pepper wander where you don't know, and she's going to get pregnant again...
We are letting her have a few more days of freedom because until she finishes weaning the kids, she will not get pregnant, and then it is inside for her ..❤️
