I really want to remodel a one of these old Shasta’s just like this! Thankyou for the product suggestions! You answered a bunch of questions I had about this project!
Just bought a sad sack of a trailer, gonna make it mine! The reality is, 3 coats of paint!😮😅, and hours upon hours of scrubbing, cleaning etc. I've got help tho. I just subscribed, looking forward to following your channel, just by watching this one video, I have a feeling we are about the same ideals. 🙋♀️🛻🇨🇦❤️‼️
Hi there nice to meet ya, yes so much work. I think I was 100hrs or so getting mine back to life.. but so much fun and the character of the older trailers has a nice feel. 😀
Okay, I have a camper van and I've been binge watching camper videos.... I have a question for the whole community. When are we going to have a conversation about craping in buckets? No episode of cribs back in the day had a movie star or sports star proudly showing off his bucket in his bathroom 😂.
looks cool from the outside the colors are everything good colors and match well together cool nice colors puts it all nice good job done ⭐️⬛️✨⚫️🌟⭐️⬛️✨⚫️🌟⭐️⬛️✨⚫️🌟🌟⚫️✨⬛️⭐️⭐️⬛️✨⚫️🌟🌟⚫️✨⬛️⭐️⭐️⬛️✨⚫️🌟⚫️✨⬛️⭐️🌟⚫️✨⬛️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
@@offgridDAVID I'm looking to do the same. Currently trying to find the right one for me but kids are grown and I'm thinking about going off grid...for a while at least. I'll follow along and keep in touch 👍 thanks for the inspiration!!!
@@offgridDAVID hello again Dave, if you don't mind I'll would like to ask about being off grid. Specifically how does one find places to park if you can't afford a camp site? Without being in a parking lot cause I'd like to travel the country or at least to Washington State for now where my brother lives. Or is there a way to find those locations via, Google, map, etc? Hope you're doing well and thank you in advance 👍
@@georgetorres8834 Well hello there. What I do here in Canada is map out my route then I contact the municipalities I'll be going through and ask if they have CROWN LAND areas. (Which are Provincially owned parcels of land). Or I go on Crown Land web sites for maps. There are likely Facebook groups you can join for your desired camp areas and people will tell you where good spots are. 👍 I hope that helped
@@offgridDAVID yes it does thank you. How that didn't sound like a stupid question but this is all new to me. I live in California so I'll start checking things out. Thank you again!!!,👍
Great job on the renovation!! I just don’t understand why you refurbished everything but you have no plumbing, no stove etc. you said it’s an off grid rig, but you can’t do anything inside the camper. All those gas lines can be replaced and the burners on the stove, no need to go without, camping is enjoying your rig and all the amenities. But maybe that’s just me.
Hi thankyou, so I have a portable propane camp stove inside and it works great. As an off grid set up you learn to adapt your meals and do things differently to simplify and to stay more reliant on on your skills vs technology.
For the window in the back by the bed and awesome in good for the metal I use for the metal on my stove the canopy top how do you call that well you can get in dollar tree if you have that store it’s only 1.25 everthing in that store is 1.25 😂
There is a whole lot of things you can't get to replace bad and rotten things to go back the same. I'm starting on a early 70s Scotty camper and I'm going to have to go to alot of upgrades because of it.
You and miles did a great job, he seems like a nice kid, it's nice seeing father and son doing a project like this together.
Nice little camper😀

Haha i couldn't agree more. Polish those buckets and raise them high
Get a natureshead. Costs as much as those gold toilets but is still a composting toilet!😂
Turned out really nice olus mad good memories.
Totally agree 👍 thankyou
Could you please tell me what kind of aluminum paint you used? I didn't understand what you said except that it was for aluminum.
Ofcourse, it's called CORROSTOP and the color is ALUMINUM. Honestly I'm quite impressed how it bonded to the old paint and how it held up.
Thank you SO MUCH!

hi, I have a subaru forester, can towing only 1500 pounds. do you have an idea of how much this weighs? brain storming ideas
This camper is likely around that weight. I think the Forester has an electric transmission so I'd check with a dealership regarding towing.
You were damn lucky that it didn’t have water damage.

What’s the price on doing the full restore of u don’t mind me asking I have me a smaller one just in the bac yard sitting there
It was approximately 80 hours of work..40hrs stripping and prep, 40 of mechanical and paint etc. Cost was $500-$600. Super fun project.
Hey Mr. Why not have an appliance mechanic look at appliances to make sure there are no leaks etc. otherwise why would you be redoing it anyways?
Off grid retreat
Where did you get the windows? I have been looking for replacement windows for a '62 Boles Aero and can't find any.
Hello , the windows were in pretty good shape. I had some glass cut for some of them at a local glass shop and just retro fix them to work.
Googone is good for that
Goo gone Ok thankyou I'll try that. We have a dollarama hopefully they carry it.
Plasticoat
It is NOT a restoration when you change it from anything original. Damn it, I hate it when people claim a remodel is a restoration!! Click bait!!!!
O my word calm down.Who cares lady. And no your not fancy 🤨👎
Calm down
I was saying the same thing: “Restore it back the way it was originally.

Piss poor video! Thats not a "restoration, its a remodel!
