It's kinda wild when folks from abroad visit Malaysia and get a bit surprised by some less glamorous sights, especially in the small villages in the middle of KL. Those houses in Kampung Baru might not be winning any beauty contests, but fun fact: the land they're on is some of the priciest in all of Malaysia. 250USD per sqf baby. We locals totally get it though, even if it's not the prettiest view around. 😄
Kampong Baru was what kl in the past, its formation in early 1900😊

Expats are smart people, not all live in downtown. Most live at mount kiara, bangsar, desa park, bukit seputeh, bukit damansara, bukit tunku.

Never go to KLCC during raya aidilfitri, it is always super crowded by foreign workers. Stayed in traders hotel nearby once and I could see the crowd from the hotel it was crazy...

Its wrong to think where expats live is the most expensive part of kl..try search bukit damansara or bukit tunku..those are where royal families..politicians..vips live..not central kl
