Yeah..I'm a new player and hit level 43 today, and I was wondering if I fucked up my frost mage somehow to the point where I even asked Reddit, I look like a bafoon now
Great video, really appriciate all the shadowlands content! The pauses when showing talents and abilities is good, enough time to read the ability but not long enough to seem weird, feels much better than your recent video on soulbinds and covenants where I think it was too long.
It depends on your MS and how far into the cast are you, there are times when it's better to cancel it, while there are times when you are too far into the cast.
Why can't you go with brain freeze procs like this: Frostbolt, Flurry, Ice lance (cosumes 1 winters chill), then frostbolt+Ice lance to consume the second WC so both get extra crit chance?
Can I ask why we get Chain Reaction since we don't use Frost Nova at all? Isn't Frost Nova the only ability that causes the "Freeze" effect to enemies? Or am I getting something wrong?
Your Brain Freeze - Instant Cast Flurry causes next 2 abilities to hit the target as if it was Frozen. Your Fingers of Frost make your next Ice Lance hit the target as if it was frozen.
If runs of power and Incanters flow are very close dps wise wouldn’t it be better to take incanters flow as their is no risk to losing it due to an RNG mechanic? I am sure that their are some fights where burst damage is important I’m just thinking overall. Also in M+ do you just use the runs at the start of every pull when you can if you choose ROP? Your videos are amazing by the way. I took a three year break, have never played mage, only started back up a week ago, and would have been a little overwhelmed without your vids!
Thank you man and RoP has no RNG mechanics? The problem with RoP is movement, but knowing the fight you won't throw it in the bad situations. Incanter's is the safe pick tho.
@@Markonicus sorry, by rng mechanics I meant fight mechanics, if you drop it and then your zone needs to be moved out of at random or you get a random debuff to move out of the group your ROP is a complete loss if you had just dropped it. You are right though, just using it in less risky situations because you know the fight is the simple solution. Incanters flow is safer but burst is more fun. @@BLZN Focus Magic is the best choice in that row if you can trade it with some Mage. Also do bare in mind Rune of Power has a giant radius, you can stay 12 yards away from it and still get it's benefit. The small Rune on the ground is a lie!

I feel like Glacial Fragmets is actually gonna be helpful if the boss spawns adds n stuff. Please give me your oppinion because I'm kinda confused ngl. :D
Castle Nathria is out at December 8th, so you will be able to make 2 Legendaries when the raid comes out. No, you won't get a new Brain Freeze until you cast a new Frostbolt and you have 14 seconds before the proc expires. I cast another Frostbolt because, that Frostbolt will benefit from Brain Freezes Shatter debuff and it will do more damage and have a higher chance for Critical. @@Markonicus ok just been testing it and by doing what you are saying we randomly get an extra shatter on the frostbolt.. seems op.. reckon they will fix that?

Nope, you aren't right. If that was possible, it would be ideal to do Ice Lance - Ice Lance - Ice Lance.
