Chapstick. Your lips tend to get dry during labor. I have also found an extension cord to be very helpful. Not a super long one, but like 6-8 ft with multiple outlets is very helpful because the bed is never close to an outlet. I also like to have ear buds during labor. I thought I was going to want to be distracted and talk to everyone during labor. But I have learned after 3 kids that I have to shut the world out to get through it. I put my wireless headphones on, put my labor playlist on repeat, get on the labor ball, and go inside of myself to focus through the contractions. And congratulations on your little one!! I'm sure you will do great. ❤
So, when you go into labor and head to the hospital, put a towel down on the seat just incase your water brakes on the way. You know, since you live 30 minutes away and you don't yet know if your labor is going to be fast or long... besides that, it sounds like you've got everything!
When you’re induced it doesn’t hurt more. Everything is just sped up because of the meds. I was induced with my 1st and not with my 2nd. Same pain it’s just faster pain.

35 weeks is definitely not too early to pack bag 🤣 i packed mine at 30 weeks and I’ve been having Braxton hicks since about 20 weeks now 32 weeks, they literally do not indicate labour everyone’s body needs to prepare differently :) love your videos, slowly catching up 😅

sooo glad you found the bras on amazon!! they are the same ones i got but in a 5 pack. i have really big boobs tmi lol and these are so supportive for me and it is so hard to find bras for us bigger breasted women. the material is amazing. but all the pads came out in the wash lol. i took them out anyways . and most ppl pack at 35 weeks so it is not early girl !!
I seriously love them!! I use to have no boobs at all and never had to worry about needing a good bra lol so I am so happy I have these!! And I guess I feel like I still have forever left but in 2 weeks he could technically come at any time and be good, so crazy 😭🥰

I remember bring a stash of coins for Cesar to use if he got hungry or wanted a coffee. They usually have vending machines around the hospital if your husband runs out of snacks lol. Also in my case I felt cold in the hospital during the night so for you and baby some kind of pajamas and blankets but I think you mentioned that... so exited for you! Baby boy will be here sooner than you know! 💛💛🙏🏻

Also I failed my one hour glucose test my number was 140, so I have to retake the test. I fasted and shouldn’t have but the doctor said not to eat or drink after midnight. Any tips for passing the second test!? Foods to eat ?! I’m nervous!
So many similarities!! 🥰 so you hardly failed according to the numbers my doctor uses!! It’s suppose to be 140 or below. I don’t really have any tips on how not to fail the second one, I tried some things and still failed 😭 but try to stay positive and don’t be discouraged, it’s nothing you did wrong!! drink as much water as possible and try and get in all the healthy fats + fiber until you retest! (avocados, chia seeds, lots of veggies + stick to berries (I notice cherries, apples, bananas, mango, etc spike my sugars a bit more than strawberries + blueberries!) so hope this helps girl, good luck 💕

@@JosieBClark you are so so welcome!! if they do want to retest you, i'd ask if you could just do the one hour test again since you were so close and then eat half an avocado like an hour before you go in! we were allowed to eat fats/protein before ours and I so wish I would have!! my first test was 185... so you definitely have good hopes that you will pass!!

Cool to see your timeline. My baby girl was born 25 Aug last year (due date was 29th). My birth was very positive and fast! Contractions started and my water broke (trickled) at 1am we got to hospital at 2am and baby was born 3.11am. There was no time for an epidural so it was drug free. I had gestational diabetes too and was due to be induced a week later. So I’m glad she came before my induction date. My tip for your hospital bag is a pair of Silverettes if you plan on breastfeeding! Bit pricey but worth it! Silver heals wounds fast. My doctor said 37 is! I’m sure lots of doctors have different opinions/reasonings for when they believe you’re full term but just going off the information I have been given.
If you plan on breastfeeding they tell you not to give baby a pacifier for the first 3 weeks. They want you to attach the baby as much as possible to stimulate milk production.
I am so sad our country 's hospitals do not provide moms and babies with anything but medication. Not a single pad or baby diaper. I am currently packing for my second child's birth and I have so much stuff I need to take that American TH-camrs seem to receive in hospital for free.

The hospital I am going to has a fantastic maternity ward so I feel very lucky compared to the moms that do not have medical aid (health insurance) and use public health care. It's just unfortunate that even if you pay to be in a private hospital, they don't provide you with basic post partum essentials.
