    Very helpful. Did my first ever brake job on my 2000 Excursion. Would not have done it if I hadn't seen your video. Thank you.

    The biggest difference is the rotors, and they aren't interchangeable, so that should be pointed out. I almost ordered the parts list from you based on the video, but after further research I found out that I need a different parts package.
    Thanks for the great video.

    Please don't forget to use medium strength ( Blue ) Loctite on the caliper bracket bolts ( 17mm ). There are instances where these bolts will back off.

      +Daniel Beck We don't have a how-to video for your vehicle right now, but the basic steps in this video should be enough to do this task. Buy this part for your vehicle on 1AAuto.com: 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c

    You just pumped the brake pedal until it was firm but do you still need to bleed any trapped air in brake line?

    • @JenesisGaming
      @JenesisGaming 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      not if you didnt remove the brake line from the caliper

    Is it just a simple on a 2wd, because my rotor does not look like that

    In your video, you mentioned tightening the lug nuts to 100 ft-lb, I always thought they should be 145 to 155 ft-lb.

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Alex Yu It is 150ft-lbs. Sorry for the error.

    • @mikedziek2982
      @mikedziek2982 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Should be 165 lbft

    Was the vehicle in the video a 4WD? You don't mention if it is, but I think the rotor and pad package is different for a 2WD. It would be nice to see the same replacement for a 2WD Excusion.

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Michael Grahek You are correct. This vehicle is a 4WD, and most of the components should remain the same. Some on the 2WD will be separate. 1aauto.com

    What's the minimum/acceptable thickness for the rotor?

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +dasteufelhund Thank you for checking us out. The Nominal rotor thickness should be 1.495 inches, and they should be replaced if the thickness gets to 1.417 inches or below. 1aauto.com

    Lost all credibility seeing him install lug nuts with an impact wrench - even "finishing off" with the torque wrench... Rotors will warp in no time.

  • @dustinrevel6621
    @dustinrevel6621 ปีที่แล้ว

    This a really poorly done. Where’s the loctite? Torque specs are incorrect. Just a hasty crap job.
