In the second Deadpool movie, Deadpool actually references this death battle. By calling somebody pinkie pie in the movie.
It wasn't a direct reference but it was a definitely a shout out.
Yep, and he even winked when he mentioned Pinkie. Heck, it likely wasn't even a Death Battle reference, since fans have been making comparisons between Pinkie and Deadpool ever since MLP:FiM debuted.

MLP FIM tackled some surprisingly deep morals in their episodes:
They had a two-parter about a surprisingly disturbing communist style Cult.
They tackled the five stages of grief.
They had a two-parter time travel episode where each alternate future was darker than the last, (and the first one involved a war, with some ponies with literal prosthetic limb.)
They had a Ebeneezer Scrooge style Christmas story that implies that if Snowfall Frost (their version of Ebeneezer Scrooge) succeeded in her plan all life would be ended by an endless blizzard caused by spectral winter horses that feed on mistrust and hate called Windygo’s.
And finally they had an episode involving a character from the past stuck in present day and unable to adapt and suffering because of it so much that he’s contemplating a kid friendly version of suicide.
And I’m not joking about any of this.

The best part is this wasn't made as a joke. People wanted Deadpool vs Pinkie Pie so they did it. They figured with how cartoony Pinkie is Deadpool can't kill her. But she's not enough of a fighter to kill him. And both can break the 4th wall so both can ignore the "Keep fighting until somebody is dead." rule. So as funny as it is, this is the actual logical outcome. Also as some others said the next episode is Lara Croft vs Nathan Drake. Not sure if you're skipping for spoilers or it was left off by accident.

@@theduckgoesmoo actually i would recommend you to react to that Death Battle if you want to, it would give a lot of info on how is Nathan Drake before you play those games also it well make you see what makes him deferent from Lara Croft.
Also it maybe late to ask but you can also react to Ratchet and Clank vs Jak and Daxter too since i know your gone play the Ratchet and Clank games later and your triying to avoid spoilers but on that Death Battle it dosent give almost any spoilers on the Ratchet and Clank series only for the Jak and Daxter series .
Oh boy, the one I've been most hyped for for a long time! I love the ending to this one, mostly because I love Meta Humor.

Not much to say here, honestly, as the role of Deadpool has been reprised by our lord and savior, Takahata101.
Pinkie Pie was played by Brittany Lauda, who seems to do a lot of background character voices in anime. She did also play Pinkie Pie in a fantastic parody song called Pony Rock Anthem, which was made by ShadyVox (Jaden in Yugioh Abridged) and Nowacking (Seras Victoria in Hellsing Ultimate Abridged), so that could be fun to check out. For those of there who know what this game is, she also voices Brooke and Audrey in the games Huniepop and Huniecam Studio.

There's a popular saying in the MLP fanbase. It goes, "it's Pinkie Pie; don't question it."
That doesn't mean you shouldn't question because Pinkie Pie is involved, it's that if you do question how or why Pinkie Pie does anything you'll just give yourself a headache and end up more confused than when you started.
I recall being somewhat "nervous" when that fight came out because I was sure Death Battle wanted to kill a pony after the last time and I didn't wanna watch that xD
Question: would you consider watching "Twilight vs Tirek" at some point? It's not a Death Battle, it's actually from the MLP show itself, and it's... quite something xD Asking because in about 50 or so episodes there is going to be a Death Battle with said Twilight for you to react and they had used the clips from that fight in it so you would be exposed to it in that way. Now while I don't expect you to do a reaction of MLP (I mean, it would be awesome if you would but I don't think it's your cup of tea) this short fight (it's only about 3 minutes long) is one of the best moments from the entire show and I think it's best to be viewed on its own rather than just clips of it on Death Battle, aaaand I have a feeling that your reaction to that would be hilarious xD
Then again your jaw is gonna drop even when watching just clips, so I suppose it doesn't matter :p Just thought I would ask^^

The cherry-changa that Pinkie uses to befriend Deadpool, I actually made it in real life just to see how it tasted. It was quite enjoyable.
Also fun fact: Pinkie is married to a pony-fied Weird Al.
When I saw both were fans of chimichangas, or in Pinkie's case, the cherry-changa, I did think, "This is going to play into something, I know it!" My instincts were right hahaha.
This was IMO the only option they had. Pinkie is canonically at one point able to harness the power of chaos(basically the universes answer to all of the good) if only for a few seconds which is more than any other character other than the god of chaos himself (the “dragon” you asked about) also neither character can die from anything but old age. So yeah it’s not a cop out just forced hand
Man I freaking love this one. It’s one of the funniest episodes bar none. This was the season 3 finale and the fact that they ended season 3 on a joke episode pissed off a loooot of people, but I find it freaking hilarious. Deadpool has one more episode coming up later and it’s the single funniest episode ever, while the ponies also have one more episode so far.
Scrooge vs Shovel Knight is a decent middle of the road episode. Not a fan of Venom vs Bane (it’s too damn dark, you can’t see anything). But Power Rangers Megazord vs Voltron? My absolute favorite, tied with Dante vs Bayonetta. It’s so blood pumping, and as a lifelong fan of both franchises it’s pretty special to me. Plus they got a ton of youtubers to voice the five rangers and the 5 paladins so that’s awesome!

The thing with Deadpool and the Dinosaur was in the Savage Lands. The Savage Lands are a location in Marvel Comics, more commonly visited in X-Men comics, and are a secret area of Alaska where the Dinosaurs never went extinct. So yeah. Dinosaurs are a common thing in Marvel
In terms of breaking the Fourth Wall, Gwenpoole might be most powerful.
While Deadpool and Pinkiepie can jump between dimensions, Gwenpoole is powerful enough to access the space in between.
Never underestimate MLP's characters some of them are ridiculously broken. 😂
the expanded universe materials has pinkie steal discord's power twice (by accident both times), but only adds limitations to deadpool's regeneration.
I like to underestimate them cuz their just ponies.

deadpool grabbing the like bar is a reference to how in one of the marvel vs capcom fighting games, he had a super move where he hits his opponent with his health bar before grabbing his super meter and hitting them with it like a baseball bat (I know the terminology is different in the game, I'm just using more general terms because it's simpler)
it was no surprise that deadpool and pinkiepie became friends. deadpool is a brony, he had a unicorn plushie in the deadpool movie.
That "dog" Deadpool was fighting at the beginning wasn't just any dog. That was Okami Amaterasu from the Okami game franchise. Basically THE major (sun) Goddess from Japanese mythology who took the form of a white wolf to interact with the human realm and save it from the forces of darkness, literally.
IMPORTANT THINGIE:
This is the very last time so far that a battle is a draw. They tired of this style,, so every future battle, even ones that seem like Joke Fights, has a direct winner and a reason for that winner. Congratulations, you no longer have to say "don't tell me it's a draw" every three or four episodes.
Edit: Also, the video they jumped into was an episode of the podcast, yes.

This is another one of my favorite 'Death' Battles, It's an absolute win, nobody died and we get real meta
My Little Pony has strong characters not gonna lie. People underestimate and underplay just how powerful they are. Pinkie is one of them, I'm actually surprised she didn't honestly win verses Deadpool as he has nothing that could physically stop her.
The ending of this battle may actually be great therapy for Deadpool. Believe it or not he has some depressing storylines.
Now you gotta watch My Little Pony for your next series.

Mlp FIM was so fun watching. It’s surprisingly more mature than you would expect. Get’s into crazy DBZ levels of fighting
I would definitely not count this one for the win-loss record. It's just too big of an intentional surprise.
As for the pony fighting game clips, that was a fan game taken down by Hasbro because it was too professionally-made and therefore the way the characters were presented was deemed likely to have more of an impact on the franchise's image. Plus side, the show's creator (Lauren Faust), after leaving the show, actually joined the game's team to help redesign the characters as originals, and the game, called "Them's Fightin' Herds," had it's first part released on Steam.
Alright, from this episode on, there are NO more draws or conclusions where no one dies.

I actually have seen fanart of Deadpool and Pinkie Pie PRIOR to this Death Battle, so when I saw it I was like, "OMG someone's seen the fanart" lol.
You should have seen every non-Brony reaction to this video, everyone expected Deadpool to win, but us Bronies who did see knew better and we weren't even sure who would win lol. I was like, "Okay if one person wins, that's only going to PO one fandom." Pinkie Pie out of all the MLP chars is pretty much the face of the show. Twilight Sparkle is the main char, but most people have seen Pinkie. So yeah a tie was a good call lol.

@@theduckgoesmoo Yes, the very first Tomb Raider was on PlayStation 1. Even though the later games are multiplatform now, much like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon, Lara Croft is considered to be one of PlayStation's top icons.
