That was so satisfying to watch!! I have only come across your channel in the last few days (of October), and I'm catching up with some of your older videos. It made me smile when you said in a video 7 months ago that you had reached 90K subscribers and wanted to get to 100K - and now here you are today with 198K subscribers (including myself!). I like the way that you are so knowledgeable about the plants and shrubs, and you don't just hack everything down to ground level (as they seem to in America!!). Keep up the good work, your viewers do appreciate it (it's very therapeutic) - oh, and I would just like to say that personally, I quite like having music playing when you are doing long jobs speeded up (such as a large amount of grassy area being strimmed down). When there is a lot of machine noise it can give me a bit of a headache, and I find myself fast-forwarding to the end of that bit! Apart from that, it does make me laugh when you and your companion(s) are having a chat when the video is speeded up, and then you're obviously saying something funny to each other because your laughing is all speeded up too!! It reminds ms a bit of the hold days of "Pinky and Perky" - and now I'm probably giving my age away as I'm sure not many people will have heard of them!! It really was amazing to see you pull up that conifer stump - you obviously know what you are doing!! Wendy from Avery Hill
Junipers/ conifers are the worst! You did a great job removing that one. Just wondering if the owner will want that front hedge taken out now you did the stand alone one! 109° in So Calif today. No yard work is being done! 😊
Hi Alex, 😊 Happy Saturday!! Wow it`s been a long time seeing you, & missed You!!😍 I really didn`t think You would Get the Tree Stump, Excellent Job!!💯 Lots of Hard back Breaking Back Work, but You Accomplished It!!✔ Take Care & have a Safe Drive Home!! 💖 Have a Lovely Evening & Weekend Alex & Family!!❤ Love Barb from Central Illinois USA ❣( I will share video)
Hola Alex❣️Que gusto verte nuevamente.
Sure was a lot of work getting the stump out. Wish I'd been there with my truck and chains, that's what I use to get stumps out. Of course there's dynamite but the neighbors get excited using that 😂 Love your videos, and appreciate your knowledge that you so generously shear with the viewers. Watching from Oregon, USA. ❤❤❤
So good to have you back! Hope you’ve had a good summer. I’ve started a new project a raised tropical style border could have done with better weather so the plants could get well established before winter but that’s life! 🌴🌴
Every gardener has their favourite way of root removal. Mine is, dig around as much as you can. Use my farm jack with a tripod to ease it up. Cut the main roots with a axe or recip saw. Then carry on lifting it out with the farm jack cutting the small roots with a root slayer spade.
Hi needing to catch up on your video iv been super busy saw you today at ground fest I was going to come over and say hi but I bottled it nice job on the removal.
Ah you should of came and said hi, always happy to meet a subscriber! Hope you had a good time at groundsfest, it was a lot of fun! We should be releasing some footage from it on Friday!
I always find that the best way to get a conifer stump out like that is to dig out a stump like that is to dig around it about a foot from the stump to expose the outer roots. You can then cut through them and work your way closer into the stump to get it out.
😊 What is the 'straight & narrow, hoe/pry tool called? I want one. Looks so handy. Great job. My husband & I dug out a big tree & root system.. one of the most difficult jobs to do!
Wow, Can't believe you were able to dig out that conifer tree stump. Hard work. Good job!
Not a fun job but sometimes necessary. Hard work! ♥️👍
Have missed your videos..hope you had a great summer
Thank you! You too!
Tough work indeed. But you push through it and won that battle. Thumbs Up!
Good to see you again. You’ve been missed. 😊❤
Good to see you back,; great job!
Best feeling in the world when you finally get that stump out 😂 💪🏼
Nice video mate
I still haven't found anyone affordable to rip my loathsome conifers out 😢
Great job x
Clean van beside the strimming!!
For jobs like that, you can't beat a reciprocating saw to cut the thick roots, nice tidy job 👏
thanks mate 🙏👍
Fantastic work, really tidy, nice one, I prefer a mattock to dig out stumps rather than the pinch bar but whatever gets the bugger out eh?
Absolutely, I do miss my mattock, I left it on a job and it was never to be seen again and just never replaced it. Thanks
Wow great recording as we saw the different stages which made for great viewing
Thank you 🙏
Alex I've seen you remove stumps before but this was a toughie! Always enjoy seeing a professional at work. Take care.
😊🇬🇧 STIHL 🧡 is a good choice 🌳
👍
Have missed your videos, great to have you back. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
😊 thank you
That makes me wonder how large of a tree you can dig up! You've done some pretty good sized ones.
I have 😎 although my back does not appreciate it, might need to get a young lad to do all the digging for me 😂
Your thumbnails are awesome
Great video. I remember when I had the energy you have now to rip shrubs out of the ground like that. Great job from the States👍🏻✌🏻
Nice one Alex, yes I was wondering what happened to you, during the summer you would be at your busiest, love your show, from Australia..
Ooh hard work. That super narrow spade thing did a great job.
Kept sharp. They're great. Heavy but effective.

Not easy to do a conifer tree and stump good job Alex
Hi where have you been long time no see ?
Nicely done!

Great job! That was a tough one.
I think you took all of your frustrations out on that stump😂
😊 What is the 'straight & narrow, hoe/pry tool called? I want one. Looks so handy.
Great job. My husband & I dug out a big tree & root system.. one of the most difficult jobs to do!
I call it a breaker bar , it’s got a sharp tip and it’s heavy so it cuts roots really well 😀
Great job thanks
You make look so easy :)
Great work! It looked like a good workout!
Hard work, great job❤
Not to bad a job but you got it done
Great job ❤
Hard work 😮!
Excellent job ❤ What is the name of that long metal tool you used to dig out the stump please?
Nice
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
what was that noise in the background, sounds like an antique ringer washer.
That's what I can hear too . I'm going to mute the video.
He did say there was building work going on
👍💪💪
Been 8 mnd since I saw any videos, seems there is a backlog now :-) Not been suggested in here, and I follow so many I cant remember you all.
💚👍👍👍
It sounds like you're next to a bilge pump, what is the noise.😊
Don't leave it so long next time. How's the allotment coming along with your mate xx
I still think you need a new sidekick. Thanks for the video.
💪🏼👍👍👍
lol, I’m almost 70. It would have taken me days to get that out of there.
Where has Gary gone to?
Heard and seen builder’s crack but I thought we were going to be treated to a gardener’s crack!🤣🤣 Good job, mate.

Wow that must odd taken a while to get out, the time lapse didn’t do it justice!
We? That's so english! ☺☺
I would eliminate the grass and plant some trees, shrubs, and flowers. That would create a low maintenance and create a beautiful use of the space.
What is that constant noise in the background? It sounds like a washing machine!
As he said, builders were at work. The sound you hear is the concrete mixer.
