I wonder if I will ever have any patience to make an entirely new hood for Sims. It sounds exhausting. But thank you for the tutorial. And don't worry about your english mistakes, your voice sounds so cozy and soozing, it overrules your mistakes haha

I remember waiting for this game after being a long time sim city 2000 and the sims fan. It was a huge leap from the sims to the sims 2. I even bought sim city to decorate and create my own custom neighborhood while waiting for the sims 2 to drop! Great memories! ✨🫶🏻
It was indeed a huge leap. I remember being blown away by all these options of neighbourhood customization when I saw them in the game for the first time as a kid. 🤯

Very useful tutorial. I've started creating a new neighborhood like 3 or 4 years ago and it's still not finished. Apparently I'm not good at keeping focus at tasks that require a lot of work x'D but I'll get there for sure.. One day
Anyway your neighborhood is a work of perfection and I look up to your skills.
One thing I may suggest is using a program for renaming files so you can change all the names at once, not having to change every single one manually.
It takes time for sure, so no worries. The most important thing is enjoying the process, isn't it? I hope you'll get there. Thank you so much!

everyone here sharing their future hoods ideas so i wanna share mine too :) i'm thinking of creating a city inspired by a stereotype that cows get abducted by aliens :D populated by half-cow human half-alien race or something :DD also thanks to chat gpt for helping me come out with lore and characters

I add in my Townies with the L& D Thombstone. it's built into the game you can also change clothes too with it.
Yeah, that's an option as well. Although I didn't know you could manage a sim's clothes with the help of L&D Tombstone. 🤔
@@AlexArt I found it by accident. All of sudden I had a clothing rack in my Sims home.
I assume you've accidentally spawned Tom's Clothing Tester which is right next to the L&D Tombstone on pie menu. I wouldn't recommend to use that one since it has a glitch that resets your sim's career level.
@@AlexArt Well you can set back your sims career level by clicking on the newspaper after the boolprop testingcheats enabled true.

Thanks you for the tutorial!!! This is very helpful for those who wanna create their own neighborhood. Can I ask how long does it take to create a neighborhood? Like everything, the planning, the building of houses, etc. I wanna try creating my own and I know how tedious it will be especially if u are gonna build everything from scratch lol. I'm just not sure how many months or years will it take.
Well, it depends on your plans for your neighbourhood. Personally, it took me about nine months to create Riverville for the first time including planning process, building all of its lots, decorating the hood, designing characters, etc.

Sadly I dont have the sims 4 but this still gives me some ideas for using the premade maps within the game ;)
You probably mean SimCity 4, right? The game is still available for purchase on EA App and Steam in case if you're interested.

I created a neighborhood in simcity 4 I imported it but the game cut off a huge portion of the map is there anyway to fix this?
That probably happens when you have a default neighbourhood camera file. You can replace it if you'd like to see the edges of your map. For instance, I use this camera mod in my game: modthesims.info/d/97642/gunmod-s-camera-mod-3-1-all-game-versions.html.
I followed your directions on making a custom terrain/hood but when I load it in to play there are no roads and a lot of the map is missing.
I used a small map like you said but two of the three lakes I made are not showing. 🤔🤔🤔
No worries, if you can't see some parts of your neighbourhood, you'll need to replace a neighbourhood camera file in your Documents folder. I use this one in my game, for example: modthesims.info/d/97642/gunmod-s-camera-mod-3-1-all-game-versions.html.
You English is good, certainly better than some Cockney English speakers that should provide subtitles.

Is there a way to make your own custom service NPCs such as maids when you have already made a sim?
Do you mean to transform a playable sim into an NPC? I'm not aware of it yet. However, in my case, I generated service NPCs as in the video first, then I chose the characters I wanted to edit. After that, I changed their appearances using Alt Sim Surgery in SimPE. You can learn more about it in these tutorials (and maybe they will help you to find a solution):

The game usually includes it by default, so you don't need to download. If you have Ultimate Collection, you'll find it in this location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\SP9\CSBin\TS2BodyShop.exe. You can create a desktop shortcut for your convenience.
Thank you for your detailed tutorial, I will certainly follow these steps! However, if you don't mind, I would suggest to use subtitles, because the pregenerated ones are horrible, and sometimes it is really hard to hear out the mods' names. Or at least show the mods names when you particularly using one (like the interest and hobby picker). Again thank you for your work!
