I have a theory of ditto in pokemon go... Since there such a pokeball called of pester ball in pokemon snap, it consist of colors such as red, blue, yellow and violet. The red is the pokeball, the blue is the great ball, the yellow is the ultra ball and lastly is the violet, the master ball. Since the master ball is unobtain by anyone, maybe there can be a process of mixing the 3 pokeballs to be a master ball. Then in the menu of pokemon go you can see the 4 pokemon settings and if you hold those it can show colors which corresponds to the color of pester ball. Maybe if you hold the 4 buttons at the same time it would create a pester ball which if you have a master ball. Pester ball can change Ditto back to its form and maybe catch it... idk its my theory anyways

If you clone a mew in Pixelmon, and it fails, you would actually get a ditto, from the cloning machine.
