    What a beautiful coat! You're right, nothing better than compliments on selfsewn garments. I will visit here again.

    Love your makes. The fox coat is adorable 😍. Also really like your derwent trousers. I’ve never been tempted by the Wendy Ward book but this has just made me order a copy! X

    `I have some lovely Milano Ponte Roma which is a bit heavier. It’s in a deep teal and I think I’ll try making the Derwent trousers with that! Thanks - I’d never of thought of it without your vlog!

    The fox coat is completely adorable! I agree, I normally put everything through the overlocker, it just looks nicer, and with thin jerseys I sometimes run the flat pieces through just to tame the burlap! The woodland animals leggings are also great. Kids love it when you sew for them!

    Lovely Derwent trousers - I’m just about to cut out a pair. I’m hoping they fit well as I have 2 more planned. 😄. Beautiful dog gazing up at you and watching your twirling 😄. I didn’t like the culottes in the book but they look great on you with high boots. Thanks for the inspiration. 👍

    You do beautiful work and I like your choice of fabric for your slacks. As a suggestion, I always try to insert pockets into side seams and I think that could easily be done in your slacks and skirts. In this cell phone age, it is convenient to have a place to carry it on your person. I love the coat and can understand your son's pleasure.

    • @threadtherapy251

    Well everything was interesting as usual and of course your foxy coat just great! but the thing I understand
    is the feeling we have when we have made something to be proud of and it turns out as we wanted, so I understand how you felt when you had finished the fox project.

    Hi Carrie, great makes I love your delphine skirt, think I might need a delphine in cord now. Just to let you and your viewers know I have seen your lovely book the fox the bear and the bunny in The Works this week for only £4. Happy sewing. Xx

    Love your makes! Maybe with the green trousers You could unpick where youve tacked the waist elastic , then overlock it to the width your comfortable with?

    Lovely makes. You've made so much, especially as there is so much detail in your son's jacket. Its such a cute jacket, no wonder you're so chuffed. Love the trousers too. I think the culottes really suit you. Thanks as always for sharing. x

    I've never had a problem with sound. I agree that invisible zips work really well in anything that is not heavy...and I love the skirt on you! You've done a proper professional job on that coat! My mum made my clothes until I was 12 (when she insisted I start to make my own) and I remember that fondly! Your chooks will always remember those coats and all the other special things you made for them! Even though the last month has been a tough one for you, you look radiant and healthy.

    That fox coat is so cute. You really outdid yourself there. You've got a good eye. I love those pants/culottes. So simple but so very flattering. You don't like the wide waistband bc you don't need a tummy girdle like some of us do. Lol.

    The fox coat is amazing! I really like the cullottes too and am tempted to buy the book. Can I ask if you make your own scarves and if so for any tips, sizes etc. They look so smart!

    • @threadtherapy251
      @threadtherapy251  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most of my scarves are from H&M, I haven’t made any yet. They brighten up an outfit I find and I’ve got quite a collection! Thanks for watching x

      Sew PrettyKitty thank you for your reply, I will pop into H & M next time I am in town. I have tried making a scarf myself with some spare Seasalt cotton lawn, but it just didn’t have the same fullness. X

    Hey. I have bought the book after seeing your video. Random one, but I can't work out the instructions for the cat headband at all! I'm sure it is the easiest thing in the book! Any chance of a quick tutorial!!? I have really struggled to find a good kids' headband pattern and they're so nice for fabric scraps!

    • @threadtherapy251
      @threadtherapy251  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t made that one- let me have a look and I will get back to you ;-)

    • @threadtherapy251
      @threadtherapy251  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Which part are you having trouble with? I will try and make one (my daughter will love it) and then explain or record how I did it x

    • @Whateverkatiesews
      @Whateverkatiesews 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah thanks so much! So I don't understand the picture in point 4. Wouldn't the ears be properly sticking out? Why can we only see the tip of them? Makes me think I'm not properly understanding point 3! I'm not great with reading instructions which is ehh I love TH-cam tutorials!

    • @threadtherapy251
      @threadtherapy251  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      k8tieop my understanding of it is you trap the ears within the seam so that they point up when the headband is on. I will have a go at the pattern and let you know xx

    Do you use scissors to cut or a rotary cutter? Thank you for sharing! 😍

    • @threadtherapy251

      Rotary cutter and a large mat with pattern weights usually 😊 although it depends what I’m making, I just cut a coat out using pins and scissors x

    I ordered the book you mentioned "A Beginner's Guide to Sewing with Knitted Fabrics". I got it today and so excited to get ready to use it but the beginning of the book said there are patterns included in the front cover and back cover of the book. My book only came with patterns in the back of the book. Did your book come with patterns in only the back too or am I missing some? Thanks so much. Love your videos :)

    • @threadtherapy251
      @threadtherapy251  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My book came with patterns in the back 😀 once you get your head around the strange sizing, you’ll love it. Kinder cardigan and Derwent trousers are my favourite. Happy sewing!

    Volume good, content good but just a word....we don't see the details so you don't have to tell us that your nail polish is cracked or that there are dog hairs on the trowsers.
