LANDER BONANZA!!! Love your versions! OMG! Absolutely fabulous!!!! They look so great on you 🍑 that fox coat is incredible!! And you totally need a Kalle! Love that pattern!
How have I only just found your channel?? So happy to have found it! You should absolutely be proud of your Landers. They are amazing!! I'm very intrigued by the shape of the rise. I might need to give those another look. I'm not big on a button fly, and I know they could be hacked into a zipper fly, but that's a whole thing... Might be worth it, though! I was amused to hear you talking about the Stella Joggers and Hudson Pants. I'm hoping to get my clash of the patterns finale up tomorrow. It's been more interesting than I expected! 😉
Your videos are such a delight! I love your honest, fun, and engaging reviews! COngrats on those AMAZING Lander pants and you nailed the button front closures, twice over!! woohoo. Don't you love a quick and enjoyable sew that leaves you as your children's hero?! Thanks so much for sharing your makes, and awesome fox coat :) I'm really enjoying being a part f the sewing YT community and love sharing my journey too, and your videos offer such inspiration to keep going!
If I can make a suggestion, if the button flap doesn't have interfacing in it, add it! I use fusible and fuse it against the outside but on the inside obviously! lol It helps with the button hole stitching and keeps the denim from fraying. You can also add a bit of fray check to the inside of the stitching after you make them and before you wear them just to protect their durability. Great job on your makes!!
Great vlog and full of inspiration 👌😁. I'm loving your Landers and they are definitely going on my to do list for this year 👍. I'm like you in the fact that I live in jeans 👖. I also love your black wide legged trousers too...and so with you on being glad that the skinny trousers are going out again 🙌😁💖😘
Love your vlogs . A little chatty then it’s all about sewing with a little humour in between. Please consider doing a vlog on the circuit and demonstration . I am rather technologically challenged and have been weighing up getting one of these or possibly a cover stitch.
Your pants are absolutely gorgeous. If you will put some fusible treecko interfacing on the inside of those knees it will stop a lot of the bagging. This process is done quite a bit in couture clothing
I have the Wendy Ward book too…. I want a pair of Derwent pants in my life too, thanks for reminding me about them both. Love you Lander pants especially the cord pair, great to see you back 😀
Your Landers are awesome! I’m working on my first pair now and you’ve inspired me to pop a label in the back pocket, now just to choose which one from my 100’s of labels 🙋♀️☺️ Thanks for sharing and so glad you’re back! ❤️
Brilliant makes. Yes it is lovely to see you in the pieces. I remember when you bought that fabric for your daughter's pjs. It is lovely! I think I need to get that stretch fabric pattern book!
Gosh you have a great memory! Poor love has been waiting years 😂 I’ve made lots of the Derwent trousers, cardigans and dresses from the book. It’s pretty good value for money. There’s a few patterns that aren’t my style.
@@threadtherapy251 I think I might give it a try. I do love working with and wearing knit fabrics. I’ve not made anything with ponte yet though. I’m a bit nervous of buying it as you’ve mentioned before that it can pill and I’d hate to put lots of effort in only to have it ruined in the wash. Do you have any buying tips when it comes to buying ponte? Thanks x
Loving your vlogs! Your makes look great and I am very tempted to give the Landers a go. I am the same measurements so nice to see what they look like on you.
I'm totally with you on the love for the lander- I've made 3 pairs but I chickened out and did my tops stitching in matching thread. Your top stitching is beautiful 😍. For my third pair I used the zip fly expansion pack which I can recommend.
Hello Carrie. It is great to see you back and Happy New Year. I would love to make the Lander pants but I am a "bit" overweight at the moment so when I am a bit "thinner" I will consider making a pair of these. In regards to the Hudson pants there is a video tutorial on the website that shows you how to raise up the waistline, like you I too don't like pants that sit on the hip. Your Lander pants look great too.
Thanks! I must not buy any more patterns (I’m having a stern word with myself!) it’s easy to end up with loads of similar patterns otherwise 😂 thanks for watching x
Love your vlogs - straight into the sewing - no mucking about, and your Landers 😍😍 are great - nicest ones I’ve seen - and the topstitching is wow 👏👏! Of course you look fab in them - perfect fit. Congrats on your ‘new’ machine! Superstar Mum indeed with your daughter’s pj shorts and that amazing fox coat for your son!
So interesting to see your Landers. I just made my first pair last weekend. I think they are lovely trousers but I need some fit adjustments. Partly because I made a size too large, and partly because my hips and bottom are not that big, I ended up with a baggy bottom - loose fabric at the back that can't all be got rid of by just taking in the side seams. I also like them enough to have another go straight away but will size down and reduce that back crotch curve. I also had to take in the waist a lot. But they are really nice to wear. I made them in a drapey cotton mix and my next will be in linen, but I may also try something like your jeans styling.
Yes sounds like a size smaller would do you better- it’s very true to size so pick the hip measurement (if your hips are wider than waist) lots of scope for letting them out a bit. Perhaps you need a flat butt adjustment? Good luck with your second pair! Thanks for watching 😊
Great makes! I am on a self imposed “ don’t buy unless I need it “ mission but I am seriously thinking about Lander pants now. I am 5’3” so definitely a more suitable length than most jeans patterns. Thanks for taking the time to do this vlog and you have a great mum giving you her machine 💕
I love your Landers!! The fit is so good. I've now borrowed the Wendy ward book from a friend to make those Derwent trousers, they look sooo comfy! I think they'd look great paired with the new TIlly Pearl pattern xx
Hi there! Just recently found your channel and subscribed. I enjoyed this video, nice job on the jeans! I've not made a pair of jeans yet and only recently getting somewhat proficient in pants altogether :) Love the corduroy trousers. Thanks for sharing! Angela
Thank you for watching and subscribing 😊 I love the Lander pants pattern, I’m sure I will make lots more. Good luck on your trouser fitting adventures Angela!
Loved your Landers, like you I made two pairs back to back last summer. Now I need a denim pair. I used the curved waistband from the TATB Ness skirt and that worked really well. I too am looking at the Kalle shirt but also considering the Melilot, so confused 😕. So glad I'm not the only one that likes the Stella joggers, they are my go to as soon as I get in from work. Did you see the new release from TATB, I thought it was very similar to a big 4 pattern you tried some time ago but didn't really like?
Yes, the wrap cardigan? I love the look of them but have never found them terribly practical. Particularly cropped ones. I don’t think I’m going to buy it 🧐 not until someone else makes a fabulous version and I get FOMO 😂 thanks for watching!
Your trousers are amazing. The fact that you have a great figure, doesn’t hurt.
Oh thank you that’s kind, it’s been changing a bit lately, hormones 🙄 I’ve reached a certain age! X

Love the "Can't Touch This" label!! there it was and it's awesome!
Thanks! Made me chuckle 🙊
Love the style of this vlog. Not too much waffle and amusing asides. Looking forward to the next one.

Nice makes Carrie! Always nice to see you.

Thanks so much 😊 I have made a video once before about how a Cricut can help a sewist. Check out my video list. X
Your best video yet! Very fun! Fantastic makes! Love your channel!💜
Aw thanks chick! 😊❤️
You’re on a roll! Well done! Inspiring!
Like buses, you wait for one and then 3 come at once 😂 😂
Those Landers look great on you and you did a first-rate job 👏 🤗
Thank you 😊
Great makes. The stitching on the Landers 👌
