    I have the 3.3 AWD... best car I’ve ever driven. People regularly stop me and compliment the car; it happened just the other day too; some kids shouted “nice car, man”. Beautiful car, it drives amazing, excellent power and acceleration and luxury interior. It’s a little bit small in the back, but I didn’t buy mine to be a family vehicle, so its not a big deal.

      Yeah I agree, my baby bro has this vehicle, amazing vehicle. This car is not only fast and handles great, it feels luxurious as well. Fun, fun car, he has rear wheel and you can easily get the back end to get out on you.

      I bought a 2020 Stinger AWD 3.3TT--they are world class cars for the price.Plus they did what most car companies should do.Make a few great engines instead of 20 diffrent unreliable ones--like the germans.They made this engine bulletproof--and it is very very fast for what it is.I had tested an SRT while looking for a car under 50k and figured I would not find one--especially with AWD (that would be under 50k).The stinger was my last drive and I was sold after the test drive.The 3.3TT is almost as fast as an american V8 in a straight line.BTW I also got mine for 36k--19k after my trade in.I mean for 19k I own a modern AWD 167 mph GT Car with a 10 year warranty.My last car was a honda crosstour and the KIA interior is as good as that and the buttons are tight and have a honda click to them.It is also very easy to drive--very very solid--and a tremendous hi speed cruiserPlus I have money in the bank to only get premium fuel and take care of the car.BTW a semi synth oil change was only 50 dollars.I plan on getting the oil changed at 3k because I put low mileage on it anyway and might as well keep the oil clean with 2 turbos.I have owned and driven an array of cars--have some on my channel--and for under 45k--there is nothing better--especially if it has no problems mechanically--which it gets a good rating from JD power and a service tech says they never have them in and none in for major repairs like a turbo failing.

      how is the AWD system on this car? Is it competative to Audi or is it front drive biased?

    Literally had mine delivered yesterday. Got probably a record low deal on a lease. Was struggling between the G70 and the Stinger GT. Both are wonderful but I don't anticipate having many people in the back and the Stinger stands out a little too much; genesis doesn't scream "hey I'm fast, look at me" and is gorgeous inside

    • @cobi2502
      @cobi2502 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had the same issue. It was between the Kia GT 2 and Genesis 3.3 L Rear. Althought for some reason the Kia GT 2 was more expensive than the Genesis G70 top of the line with AWD. I thought the Kia GT 2 has some plastic interior that resembles the Kia Optima/Hyundai Sonata type of material and for almost 60k, that was unacceptable. The G70 did not have plastic materials and for 51k, it was the better choice and i do not regret it one bit. I would consider the GT 2 later in the future for bette price as i feel it will be less than 40k in three years.

    I now have 15,000 miles on mine its a 2019 3.3 sport. I still love driving this car. I have had a lot of cars in my life , getting out of Genesis Coupe 2013 and a 2016. I started car owning back in a 1978 a Z28 Comaro, loved that car. But by far this is the most fun i have ever had driving a cars i have owned. So if your thinking about one just test drive it. And you will see what im talking about , have fun.

Maybe you mentioned this in your review. If so my apology. Also if you notice the start/stop cancel switch that is in the 2020 by the shifter/drive mode selector is taken out of the 2021! Small but appreciated upgrade for me. Thanks for doing this review 👌👍

    Genesis nailed the exterior. I hope the refresh doesn't diverge too much from the current model. I've seen several renderings of the 2022 model, and I'm not happy about the exterior changes, although they're just renderings at this point. Genesis wants to make the entire lineup consistent, so the G70 will likely fall in line with the GV80 and the new G80 sedan. I think both vehicles (GV80 and G80) look great, but I don't think an even bigger grill will look good on a vehicle that's substantially smaller compared to the vehicles I mentioned. Also, the headlights will look different and they will resemble the headlights on the G80, which, in my opinion, doesn't look as good as the current model because they look bug-like. We'll see once the 2022 refresh is officially unveiled. Genesis really doesn't need to change much. Just add the digital cluster like you suggested, and for me, make the rear turn signals full LED. That's all. Depending on the changes, I'll likely opt for a 2020/2021 model instead of the 2022, yet-to-be unveiled refreshed model.

      @kdh004400 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well they decided to have family look for all of their models. Like genesis g90 have little weird looking because it still is facelift model, and g70 would be too. Nobody knows yet how long we have to wait for all new genesis g70 and g90, but I expect to them to have better look for those models. And you should know that whenever g70 didn't revealed yet but rendering people said g70 looks horrible just like new rendering on these days. We gotta see the real one so let's wait until September because that's the d day for facelifted g70 will be revealed.

    Not a bad option. A fully optioned 3 series or Audi or Merc would be 10-15k more, and if you factor in depreciation, this makes sense as a daily much more. Use money saved on depreciation, maintenance costs,etc... and get a weekend car with the savings.

    I've never understood why the G70 was priced much higher than an identically equipped Kia Stinger GT Limited? There's an $8000 CAD difference in price (MSRP) between the 2020 AWD G70 3.3TT Sport and the 2020 AWD 3.3TT Kia Stinger GT Limited (both higher trim models with identical Hyundai powertrain). I drive a 2018 AWD Stinger GT Limited and love it. If the G70 would have been priced more closely to it, I might have considered it, although I love the hatchback space in my Kia.

    According to what I read, the newer one will have the same engine (this however may change if Hyundai/Genesis solve the major headaches that they are having now with their new 2.5 and 3.5 engine. They probably won't until next year) , platform, and transmission as the current one.

    I'm starting to think the G70 3.3 AWD should be my pick within the 4 choices I narrowed down my search to. It's either I buy a 2.0T Sport Accord with manual transmission because I still like like driving a stick shift a lot (currently owning a 2010 civic SI and getting a bit old for the VTEC yo) OR I go the entry luxury sedan (and all wheel drive) path with the Acura TLX, the Lexus IS 350 or the G70 Sport. I know I can get the G70 with a manual trans but I can't go RWD in snowy Canada. Honestly if the Accord was AWD I think there would be no hesitation. And the fuel consumption on the G70 seems a bit high! These are just thoughts, feel free to share your experience with any of those cars! :)

      I got a 2020 AWD Stinger GT 3.3TT for 36k. These cars are fantastic--fast and the AWD system is world class.I rent high end cars--german mainly on trips and the KIA/Genesis AWD system is def worth the money.Ran a 4.27 to 60 at the drag--12.79 quarter mile with no launch control--and have also driven in a downpour with an inch of rain on the road and car was safe and flawless--I was able to easily keep the speed limit in the rainstorm.With the few k I saved I have an exhaust and replaced all my rotors with cross drilled geomet on ALL 4s.Stinger is a hair more sportier and I believe slightly lower.There are no major problems on the forums and I am almost at one year and not a hiccup--interior and quality is on par with honda--which is fine with me cause I do not like shit to break down--car is solid.

However, one key point I would add to your review in regard to Apple Car Play, it must be tethered... it is NOT wireless like many other manufacturers (ironically Hyundai Santa Fe & Elantra's have it!)... this was almost a deal breaker for me as it essentially renders Apple Car Play useless... who is going to take their phone out of their pocket and plug it in every time they get into the car? Keep up the great reviews : )

      @chigasaki06 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      What are you looking for? You expect similar performance and features, but only want to pay 10k for it? LOL. Using your logic, the Lexus is still only a Toyota, the Acura TLX is still only a nicer Honda Accord, and Infiniti's are nicer Nissans, and Lambos/Bentley are nicer VW's....and the list goes on. As for reliability, the brand is rated in the top 5 for reliability. In fact, the engine used has been in existence for several years. Of course Genesis doesn't have the longevity of other luxury brands, but they already have a lot going for them.

    Stop click-baiting. It's 2020 so how come this can be a 2021 model? Are you in the future? The only time that is possible when it's a brand new facelift or generation. Also, you put NEW in the description when this is not a new model. Imagine if someone in 2018 said "2021 Genesis G70 review", by your logic that's acceptable.

    • @jay-uo2bi
      @jay-uo2bi 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@meenamjah Maybe dumb dealers do this as 'marketing' but no manufacturer themselves does this unless its a new model. When you say "next year's model" you're indirectly implying that it is a different/updated/new model which in this case of the Genesis, it is not. Unless it's a new or facelifted model, you don't claim a car to be from a year in the future.
      The car was manufactured in 2020, and it's the same as the 2019/2018, to call it a 2021 model is outrageous.
