Korea surpasses US as top market for BMW 5 series in 2020. >> So it is different story. Hyundai can put their money on Genesis G80 because Koreans love this segment a lot. They can invest, wait and sit back in the US market while taking money from Korean market. So if I were Lexus and Toyota I would hit Korean market very hard with lowering price and long warranty starting from the new IS but Lexus underestimated the power of Korean market putting higher price tag which I would not do. Simply you wanna fight with Hyundai? Hit directly hard on Korean market then you will win.

That G80 is what I believe its Japanese competitors (namely ES350, Q50, TLX) should’ve eventually evolved into by now. The power, detailed aesthetics, & value in Genesis products lets me know they’re serious about what they’re bringing to market to grab their share and shake things up; I absolutely love it.
this G80 and the CT5 are IMO the best Sedans in this field for the value of your $$$ ! everything isnt a 3k option like on MOST all Germans cars . they look great , ride fantastic and have great warranties.
The single most interesting feature on the new G80 and GV80 is the AR Navigation. Seen them on the Korean model. But NONE of the US journalists show any of it. Is there an agreement with Genesis or something? How could everyone miss this key feature?
I rented a 3.5 to travel from Nashville to New Orleans for Mardi Gras 2023. This machine is a rocket! It will easily get you out of potentially dangerous situations with a tap of the throttle! BMWs, Mercedes and Honda pull alongside seeking to see what the G80 looks like from the rear. And I show them. There are no perfect cars. My only problems are: the trunk is small for this price point and the start stop mechanism feels as if someone taps the rear bumper when it engages. However I plan to buy one.

@Naughtysauce Korean people also just do not like Japan becuase of the history of what the Japanese did to the koreans and Japan still never acknowledged or apologized for it
You are the king of reviewers, Sofyan. Thanks for your hard work!
I work at Genesis in Korea. I know few of Genesis designers from the companies and they told me they spent almost 1 year only for designing this car.
I love this car and I like what Hyundai is doing with this brand. If I won the lottery tomorrow, the G80 would be go-to car; you get luxury AND reliability.
I agree with you 1000% Chad. The Genesis combo of luxury AND reliability is why my next car is going to be this or their GV80 suv. And that's before we even get to how gorgeous they are. It's been a long time since a car has made me literally ache because of how beautiful it is!
@@williamlambert5610, I am not rich, so maybe I just don't get it. But BMW and Mercedes have well-earned reputations for parts breaking after the warranty expires. It is person and person on TH-cam that warns against buying a used European car outside of its warranty if you cannot afford large repair bills. I don't get it. Why can we not have cool luxury features and quality, AND some reliability so you aren't just throwing money at bad parts.
I just saw one in person and it was stunning. A must have
Double upload?? Lemme get my snacks ready!
this introduction has really come a long way. So glad to be seeing your content evolve. Keep up the good work man!
revving the engine with no load (stationary) on a luxury sedan is usually pointless - this isn't a mustang.
This is an enthusiast channel. So I don't agree. Sofyan boots every car he drives. Cudos to mr Bey.
Props to Genesis bringing out new RWD sedans these days
But you would be ok with Mercedes having 4Matic badge on the back of them? I actually like the genesis badge 4WD and I question your styling que sometimes.
So beautiful. I hope it sells really well.
This car is beautiful and unique! Saw one on the road and had to research it. The lights are such a unique touch!
Nah Scotty takes all 3 top spots
This would've been an absolute monster sleeper with a V8
Issa very “you earned your wings” type of Vibe, I appreciate the attention to detail with the emblem, facia & rear. Phenomenal Review, you all-ways produce quality. This Car looks like Royalty, Redefining Luxury 👑👑👑
*Great looking sedan, would look better with a smaller grille though. Good job on your review, great quality as always.*
Agreed . I like the style of it . Just needs to be downsized.
@@peterseinfeld 11 wasn't
G70 has the smaller grill
I heard some reviewers say the proportions look a lot better in person. This may be due to some camera lenses reviewers are using I think.
@Redline Reviews, crack those kneecaps buddy!!! ^_________^
From an exterior/interior styling perspective, this car is a home run. You're right, it has a Bentley look to it that belies its price point.
I don't like the grille design but the interior is nice and luxurious.
I love, appreciate and respect what Genesis has done and is doing, especially with G80.
That car would be stunning if not for the front grill.
When i was younger Acura and Lexus look sexy
As i gotten older, i expanded my taste more and really appreciate the Genesis. Something about it gives you this mature, powerful and sexy vibe. It may not look extremely flashy but the engine and the inside makes up for it 10 fold!
Damn this is a nice ride, and I own a pretty high end Audi.
Great job Genesis. The interior looks amazing actually.
Just test drove one today!! White ext, cream int ..Fully loaded for 66k. I totally fell in love with the feel of the drive and the technology ❤️. Definitely getting one next year, CPO though 😉

Mercedes Benz CLA 250 FWD owners: "iTZ sTilL A HyUnDAi!!!". Get over it, the Koreans have never rested on their laurels and got complacent. They keep improving every generation.
Much respect for having BPM as your Sirius station in your videos!

Stunning design inside and out!
I own a 2013 Hyundai Genesis and it's perfect! No problems, very very spacious BUT I want a upgrade and this is exactly what I'm getting. Can't wait
I was like, damn that front.....damn that rear........damn that interior.......damn so good!!
When are you going to test the g80 sport?
I really think this car looks amazing. Hopefully it doesn’t become as common as a Camry.
-Coming from someone who only buys German.
This G80 is better than the new TLX type S
this G80 and the CT5 are IMO the best Sedans in this field for the value of your $$$ ! everything isnt a 3k option like on MOST all Germans cars . they look great , ride fantastic and have great warranties.
This car looks so bada$$. They've done an awesome job.
that interior is incredibly designed.
Reason why Lexus GS was cut off. Sad Lexus lost the fight
The single most interesting feature on the new G80 and GV80 is the AR Navigation. Seen them on the Korean model. But NONE of the US journalists show any of it. Is there an agreement with Genesis or something? How could everyone miss this key feature?
I never clicked a video so fast 😁
I rented a 3.5 to travel from Nashville to New Orleans for Mardi Gras 2023. This machine is a rocket! It will easily get you out of potentially dangerous situations with a tap of the throttle! BMWs, Mercedes and Honda pull alongside seeking to see what the G80 looks like from the rear. And I show them. There are no perfect cars. My only problems are: the trunk is small for this price point and the start stop mechanism feels as if someone taps the rear bumper when it engages. However I plan to buy one.
I love reading comments from Genesis Haters!
People who complain about everything!
The people who put, WHY in every sentence!😁😀😁😗🤗🤗🙄
Such a beautiful car. WOW
All these reviewers are wrong in comparing Genesis to other manufacturers. It just does not sound fair to me. Genesis has come very far away from being just a Hyundai. Even when it was "just another Hyundai" it offered tons of features/luxury for every dollar spent.
Give us a Genesis dealership, please. I'm ready to move on from Lexus.
They’re gonna start building them within 12 months
There's 2 in Vancouver and a showroom in Puerto Rico
Cant wait to get one of these in 4-5 years at half the price. By far the greatest value in the car market.
Korea: upping their luxury brand. Loaded their cars with new techs and features.
Lexus: ok. Let’s do Apple car play
with a v6 from 2006
Lexus sells a ton more and are comfortable and reliable, and not made by a company with vehicles catching fire. Lol

Genesis is really doing great things with their cars. I don't like and would never buy an SUV but their GV80 is gorgeous. I saw one on the road the other day and it's a real head turner
Wow! That's a good looking car!
This guy sofyan Bay is the best car youtuber ever. Both editing and camera angles.
Bye bye Lexus. Genesis knocked this out of the park. I haven't seen one in person yet but the quality appears to be top notch.
Interior (esp. steering wheel) looks like something my 79-year-old grandfather would drive to the country club!
