Thanks for making this, very helpful for getting mine sitting just right on the shoulders. I used to have to switch straps when playing bari, but this works for me on alto, tenor and bari. More comfortable than the Jazzlab holder I was using before. Nicely made, feels like it will last.

I have been using Balam neck strap for the last 5 months. However, there is a design fault on the hook. When the sax weight is off from the hook such as, the sax resting on my lap, the sax could be unclipped by itself. This is a well known problem among rock climbers; and they call it "twisting carabiner" which could unclip by itself. Due this problem, I dropped my tenor sax and damaged the C tap last week. I am going to replace the hook with a more secure hook. I still like the Balam, except its hook.

Thanks for the video. I’m still having problems with the strap, “riding up” when I add the weight of my sax. I’ve tried adjusting the strings and even had my wife help adjust it. I’m sure It’s a science to it with the curves of my shoulders. I just hadn’t figured it out yet. Have you got any advice. Thanks

Hi. Sorry I don't have any advice apart from what I mentioned in the video. This strap seems to fit some people better than others. I watched every video on the subject, bent the bars, adjusted the straps and changed the position of the catches but could not get it to fit for my large frame. You might want to contact the manufacturer or a saxophone shop who should be able to give advice. If you do figure it out, let me know. I now use the jazzlab saxholder or the vandoren harness. Thanks for the comment.

@@Saxcomprehensive I’ve used the Jazzlab and love it. It just breaks in the same spot because I move around a lot in my shows. I’ve bought 4 so far. I’ll check with the manufacturer on both issues with neck straps. Thank for the quick reply.

Hi. personally I did not like this neck strap as it kept moving forward causing the string at the back to dig in the back of my neck. However, others have found it ok. I do not play the bari but I have heard good comments about the vandoren harness with the bari. I think you would need a harness to support the weight of the bari. I use the Jazzlab saxholder. Maybe check out their website and see what they say about using it with the bari. I usually read the comments on amazon to get an idea of what people think of some of the products. Sorry I could not help.

I know it’s an American made piece but the metal is called Al-u-min-ium not Aluminum. I know that sounds pedantic but if we don’t stick up for the English language what hope is there? Great video by the way and as usual you have made me go and buy one! Thanks for all you do.

Hi. Thanks for the comment. Let us know what you think about the neck strap, whether it fits you well and whether you made any adjustment to it. By the way, most of my viewers are American and so I have adopted many American terminology, sorry.

I like the concept, but for the me the regulator is clunky and ugly. It looks like some Lord of the Rings thing you'd buy at a leather goods shop. I wish they'd just kept it simply and sleek.
