I want to purchase on of these however I have read that they are not good for alto/soprano. Better for tenor. They are marketed for S/A/T/B. Can you speak on this?
Hello Donna, thank you for this lovely video. I'm searching for an new neck strap and I've one question. Is this little hook to switch between alto and tenor sax or only to fix the adjustment?
Hi Donna - I’m searching for a back strap as a gift for my partner who currently plays alto and bari, always standing and positioned off to his right side (yes he knows that’s not proper for alto hah but he still does it). I’ve watched a couple of your reviews, and I’ve come down to two options I think he would like: the sax holder pro, and this one - balam pro. Do you have any further insight or opinion on what you think would be best based on your experience and discussions with other sax players? It sounds like either of these options could work for how his sax placement is.
It really depends on how much weight does he want on his shoulders. I use the Vandoren FNH 100 because it takes the most weight off and does not feel weird if I play a horn to the side. Either one of your choices is fine. Maybe try out the Saxholder Pro from Amazon first because you may be able to return it if it isn't right.
Hi Donna, Q: When you play a Tenor a little on the side is the strap then still comfortable or do you need to play straight in front of you to be comfortable?
@@DonnaSchwartz Thank you Donna. I suppose similar neck straps will all require adjusting. I have one that i just can't seem to make work. for me. Hey, thanks for your great videos!
I bought one and I Must Sax I Never hat a more uncomfortable neck strap. Regardless of and changes in the cords or beding of the Rains the Metall link always keeps pressing into my spine and gevespert me additional pain. So - I guess it is not for everybody.
Thanks for the review! this helped me decide on this strap and helped me to tweak it so that it feels so natural to wear now.
Thanks for the review Donna! I'm on the lookout for a new strap so I'll add this one to my list for further investigation.
Definitely relieved tension on neck. I was pleasantly surprised that my tone IMPROVED with this strap.
This video was very helpful! Thanks for all the detail.
Excellent!
good review; bought one & like it a lot, also helped improve tone.. A+ best strap ever
SAME! I think because my posture improved, my tone improved as well.
Thanks for this review, I really needed it. BTW; your hair is very pretty.
Great! And thank you - I was having a good hair day 😂
Thanks for this...
Thanks for the review Donna. Does the shoulder parts already come curved or straight (and needed to be bend)? Thanks
They come curved but you can bend to what you specifically need.

For me it was better on Alto - I did not try it on Soprano because I don't play it that much.
So out of the 4 you tested, which one did you like the best?

Only to fix the adjustment, if I understand your question right...
Donna. Did you try on Bari Sax for ladies?. One side pulls to the right because of size and weight.
No I didn't. Thanks for sharing your experience
do you think the difference between the classic and the premium one is worth 25€? like, are the advantages very noted?
I personally felt a difference with the premium, but I think you have to try it out yourself.
@@DonnaSchwartz yeah, i tried them and I felt like the difference wasn't worth the price...

This one is still comfortable playing on the side
Does it dig into your collar bones?
There are ways to adjust the strap so that it is comfortable for you. Jack really worked with me to get it to fit properly.

What is their return policy if it doesn't work for you ?
Contact Jack directly on his site for more info on return policies, especially now with COVID.
