When you revved it there was a little whistle at the end which means you need to replace the recirculation valve as its plastic and faulty, changed it on my mk2 rs and that whistle at the end will stop cheers steve😀
Car Focused same place but much further in. Easier to work with through the drivers side with wheel off. Some tuners and guys has perfected it but either or they still have to use make shift tools to reach it and undo the retaining bolts. It’s exactly the same cheap plastic rubbish used on the Mk3. The replacement is the same part number too.

I love the 2010 RS, but as a daily driver I’d be too worried leaving it in its own. I have a 2010 XR5 better for a daily driver and no worries, but still would love the RS, love a black one but man they are rare.
mine had the group A filter which sucked like an industrial hoover and the mouse whistle was so loud and annoying so changed recirc valve and bought same v2 as you, mouse gone and much smoother power delivery on mp350. wheel spacers do the job but mind those kerbs lol. mines no garage queen and will drive her in the rain if i feel like going for a blast, even more fun in the cold air Gary, tons more character over the mk3 imo !

Car Focused the plenum is very easy to fit mate you’ll be able to fit it no problem 😁 and yeah its the cold air intake bit attaches to the lower grille and the bottom of the airbox 👌🏼
I honestly think you spoiled it by removing the stripe and the honeycomb dark bits. The residue will be a nightmare to remove unless they've not been on long. I know making it your own is part of ownership but removing good mods defeats the object really. Lastly, the OEM mudflaps look miles better than the rally armour style!

You’re exhaust manifold bolts are loose buddy, get mountune to nip them up when they fit the turbo to crossover pipe 👍

It’s the standard turbo recirc valve - I’ve since changed it to a Mountune one which has cured the whistle.
