It’s definitely one of those cars - I imagine a lot of people regret selling them.
Lovely! That carbon fairing for the intercooler is the best thing ever...
It’s great - covers up those horrible bolts too from the undertray!
Sound is the best thing about this engine. Car should feel quicker since it's more free flowing

The main power increase your feeling is from the intercooler, it can now breath faster and much cooler air is getting in the engine.
The exhaust won't add much power without a tune..
You should notice it drives smoother and gets to speed quicker even on light throttle, that's due to the intercooler.
The stock one is very very restricted.

It’s now spinning up in second gear in the dry, which it wasn’t doing before, so there’s deffo some more power there. The standard intercooler looks pants to be fair!

That sounds lovely Gary , the intercooler looks very smart too 👍🏼 I genuinely believe a catback certainly helps with performance when my fiesta st180 was standard i fitted just a miltek catback it made quite a difference!

My full miltek 435bhp used to spit flames but its down to the map usually
It will be the intercooler making it feel faster. I had the exact same system with a decat and it hardly droned at all, just nice on full chat.
It used to spit flames, but not sure if it will with the cat, probably though

Get out on a dark road with no cars on it, I remember it being like a lightning flash changing up near the limiter.

Hi mate - you will get some drone at motorway speeds but it’s bearable. I’d say it’s worth it for the extra sound 👌🏻 Get yourself a de res section - easy to swap back if you don’t like it. 👍🏻
@@CarFocused I’d have to get a custom section made up as I’m in Aussie wouldn’t be worth the money to get one sent here mate but I may do one day
That sounds well nice…I just have the milltek cat back on mine, I’ve just ordered the down pipe and I’m saving for the sports cat I hope mine sounds like yours👍🏻.

Mine is non res and it does let out the odd bang…it has the mountune tips on it too
You will get used to the drone.....after 6 years in my rs i don't notice it now but i wouldn't go back to standard. I will say I've lost out on the sweet engine noise for the exhaust 👍
It’s a fine combo now, listening to the roar at the back and the induction chirps up front. Such a beast of a car now 😃

Has the turbo to crossover over pipe been changed 🤔 that makes a great difference
Yes mate it has a Mountune / Samco induction hose set 👍🏻
The standard intercooler is restrictive, it’s not just about air charge cooling.
Over twice the size now so more volume for sure 😃
Does the car pass the mot with the 200cell cat no problem 👍
Yes mate it had an MOT after the mods were fitted and passed no advisories 👍🏻👍🏻

The underside of your car looks in really good condition compared to the surface rust on my MK3. It’s funny because when I was watching I was thinking that you should spray a bit of Lanoguard on it and then you mentioned it yourself. I used it on my own car last month and wished I had done it years ago.
Hi mate, thanks! Yea I plan on getting underneath it soon and giving it a good scrub, then finishing it off with the Lanoguard! Unfortunately the underbody protection from factory is pants!
Yeah agreed. The only thing with Lanoguard is you’ll end up stinking of sheep by the time you’re finished.🤣

You are possibly up around 340/50 bhp now Gary. Mine was MP350 + the 3 inch downpipe before i went MR375 . Now thinking about MR420 lol 🤔

@@CarFocused yeah - my last JCW mini on a stage 2 tune made 15bhp and 40lbft extra with a forge intake, turbo inlet and intercooler. Mad really that bolt on's make such a difference

U need to put this on the dyno I had mountune and should been 215 pack but when I put on dyno it didn’t make 200hp it made 199hp so make sure u getting the right power bec I was disappointed with mine
Yea I need to get on the dyno in it’s current state with the superchips map first. My mate has an MR375 car so would also be good to see what the difference is on a side by side roll…

Did you leave the standard cat on once you fitted the cat back exhaust bro?..you said turbo back exhaust, then cat back , so not sure what your running 👌
Hey mate it already had the 3 inch downpipe and sports cat. This was fitting the cat back section to make it a full turbo back system 👍🏻
What map is that chap… a stepped exhaust will be catastrophic for power on a turbo vehicle so it’s gotta help

do you need a stronger clutch for the 375? ive got 350 in mine and thinking about a new intercooler
Apparent standard clutch is good for up to 400bhp, but this isn’t coming from experience so I can’t be 100% sure. I’d go for the Wagner like mine - the Mountune intercooler wasn’t the most effective.
My st225 has a similar Milltek and it flames with a decat. I’m fitting a scorpion 200 cel and I’m wondering the same. Will it still flame the odd time

Am I the only one that thinks the right side tip points more upwards then the left one?
It might be slightly - but it’s also very easy for the visual to be slightly distorted by a slightly skewed tripod that the camera is on, or if it’s not quite central to the back of the car. The brackets at the rear aren’t original - they were made up after the mongoose came off as with that exhaust it uses different ones, but the previous owner chucked the OE ones away. I have another set of OE brackets to go on but they need a lick of paint. But in reality the tips both look pretty symmetrical.

A standard cooler is garbage. First thing i changed when bought the car is that piece of sh*t. But unfortunately not a top tier thing like a Wagner, just a puma stage 1

@@CarFocused don’t know about 375 map from mountune, if they can set a maximum boost on mid range you will be pleasantly surprised (for 2nd time 😅) with peak torque. If i know right mp350 is a copy of rs500 map, which i used before and there are only 470-480nm of torque on peak. Now i got almost 600 and it really pulls, sometimes spins the wheels on 3rd, always on 2nd
