- In this video I will show you the lovely sounding 2.5 five-cylinder turbocharged Ford Focus RS Mk2! Although the fact is that the RS is on the market for a while, it sounds pretty good! Especially with an aftermarket exhaust system like Milltek, Mongoose or Mountune!

Such a neat, crisply styled version of the Focus compared to the rest of the generations. Mk2 is a future classic that will be the most sought after.
World needs more I5s. Ford Focus, Quattro and Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo are proof how good I5s are.

Undoubtedly the best gen RS. I've driven many nice cars and have to say these cars are one of the best drivers car I've drove.
This type of focus has the best sounding engine for sure.

It's from watching vids like this that I bought my MK2 st facelift. Best purchase I've ever done. The sound is so addictive, v good torque, mods are so cheap and easy to purchase. There's afew MK3 st near me and they always look away when I pass and give them a cheeky rev
They probably look away because they know you've got the better car. Certainly for sound and engine capability alone. And personally I think the MK2 looks better, so you've got the better looking car too

@@Eidrian111 You shouldnt tell people they dont know anything when you don't yourself. They arent identical sure, but they are very very similar. The T5 especially later models from Facelift volvos will happily run the K16, Vivaperformance and Elevate have been selling the upgrade kit for years and it works perfectly fine on stock internals on well over 300HP, once you start approaching 400HP on either RS or T5 the Cylinder walls will either crack at the top or scrub/separate from the head gasket.
The RS uses graphite embedded into the cylinder walls, this happens during the manufacturing stage and has nothing to do with Ford, in fact this technology is Volvo technology which comes from the S60R.
The RS does however use a different crankshaft as well as different conrods and pistons specs. They are stronger, however its a moot point since the open deck block is the weakest point of the 2.5L engines and its the same design on the T5, ST and RS. Some of the changes in the RS were things requested by Ford Team RS, but all engineering was done by Volvo in Skovde Sweden.

Just saw a post on Facebook of someone selling one in the AU. (I'm from the US) and the amount of people commenting that "It's just a Focus"; "You're stupid"; "You must be joking"; "Worth 3k tops" was ridiculous. Very sad to see most people don't know about what the other countries produced and the amount of rarity these particular models hold. If I could ever own one and ship it to the states, I would in a heartbeat!

The Volvo C30 is more like the MK2 Focus ST instead of the MK2 Focus RS. It would need the K16 Turbo, some tuning, and the revoknuckle suspension set up for it to be the MK2 Focus RS for the states.

Everybody have soft spot for 5cylinder engines because there are not many of them produced. Fiat in diesel and gas version, Audi, Volvo, Mercedes, Rover, and Ford 3.2 Duratorq.

Nah, Volvo's sound better. Ford spoilt the sound with the twin pipes. You need a single exit exhaust to get the best sound track from a 5 pot.

So funny how the Volvo boys always remember that the core of their engine was used for this ford, but seem to forget that the Volvo S40, V50, C70 and C30 all shared the focus platform. Always needing to point out how that engine is Volvo, even though ford's teamRS changed so much to it, it was only a volvo core, and everything else was never seen in Volvo's. Just like how "their" engine became more famous thanks to a Ford focus, then through their own cars! 🤣 So Ford borrowed one thing, and that's worth pointing out, but Volvo making 4 cars who are just ford's with Volvo body's is never mentioned! 🤣 Go enjoy your 180kmh restricted new Chinese Volvo's, sour Volvo fanboys!
