    Heck yes, buddy! Thanks for the video. This is probably my favorite entity in all of pathfinder due to the complexities of his nature

    Seems like a good hook for an adventure. The PCs assume the NPC is evil but it’s actually a follower of Ragathiel seeking righteous vengeance. Do they help or hinder?

    It's weird to see vengeance of all things on a lawful good deity. I really like demigods in the setting, since they usually put a weird spin on things. You would expect your average paladin to be forgiving and merciful towards their enemies, but if it's a knight of Ragathiel you are probably out of luck, either redeem or burn.

      Actually I'm not sure he'd even be willing To give you that option, his main cult, the crimson Templar don't believe evil or demons can redeem so they'd probably skip straight to burn lol

      @@SirVertigo That's a weird way of looking at it, their deity being the son of a devil. But it is fitting for the theme. I wonder how he views the Redeemed (devils who became angels, basically the opposite of fallen angels).

    I like this one as I have a Dhampir Warpriest / Ranger Dedication, to make basically an Investigator for Ragathiel.

    love this deep dive into a minor empyreal lord. Would you ever do something similiar for Arshea?

      Work has been killing me latetly, but I am juggling quite a few videos at the moment. My ultimate goal is to cover pretty much everyone, so minor deities or not, I would love to cover them!

    I have a 1st edition pathfinder society cleric of Ragathiel. His main claim to fame is helping to raise a fallen comrade from death, so long as they convert to ragathiel. I even paid for the atonement to make it happen, turning a chaotic neutral into a lawful good

    Great stuff.
    I was originally making my Paladin as a follower of Ragathiel, but ended up going with Iomedae.
    One thing worth noting I'd the Hands of the Inheritor is no longer in Iomedae's service.

      @SirVertigo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was actually not aware that he was no longer in her service, that's interesting! That's alot more job movement for an angel then I expected lol

      @@SirVertigo IIRC its due to what happened in the Wrath of the Righteous AP. He (spoilers) got tortured and corrupted by Baphomet, and iirc there is a way to save him. Lost Omens Legends mentions he is no longer Iomedae's Herald, but Secrets of Magic oddly enough still lists him in the Summon Herald spell.

    Is it bad that God of War 2's theme blares whenever I think of Ragathiel?

    Quck noob question...i am a Paladin\Evangelist of Iomedae in our Pathfinder campaign - is it fine by me to ask a blessing of Ragathiel for a particular mission of eradicating evil (castle full of undeads basically) than my "own" diety?

    • @SirVertigo
      @SirVertigo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea, you can totally request blessings from other deities. Mechanically I don't think there's many limits on that, but lore wise, I'd say it's more like you just have to show more faith towards your prime diety. So, you'd donate 10 g to Iomadea, but only 5-7 to Ragathiel etc. As far as I can recall, only a few deities block worship of their opposites. For example, Zon-Kuthon wouldn't like you praying to Sivanah, but that may be incorrect
