Thank you so much, I've always wanted to set a campaign set in Kyonin and this is giving me some good ideas, the Winter Court incessant meddling and Treerazer being my favorite atm

Hey just dropped into your newest video to say thanks for making these pathfinder lore videos, it’s helping me a lot transitioning from years of D&D.
These videos have been a perfect balance of well researched while remaining digestible, makes it very easy to binge lol.

I do believe it's just one theory, though. Until we get a source book set on the Green Planet, we're always going to be speculating.

@@hikiwa4337 pretty sure that source book would be in Starfinder though.

Love this video. I always thought about doing an Adventure Path story summary but if I am being honest I don't think I could do it better than this.

I would love to do a Adventure path Story, but I'm a little hesitant on that one honestly.
Everything else is so readily available online, like rules and settings, but the adventures are where they really try to get you to buy the books. I don't wanna spoil an adventure and make people not buy the adventures if that makes sense?

A bit about the geopolitical situation in Kyonin, to the north they have Sevenarches, a druidic nation which has bad relations with Kyonin... Because Kyonin claims Sevenarches as part of their country. To the northwest they have Razmiran, aka fantasy North Korea, which was, and technically still is, at war with Kyonin because Razmir declared the elves as heretics. To the west they have Lake Encarthan, which has the base of operations of the Wisphering Tyrant Tar-Baphon at it's centre. To the southwest is the nation of Bruma, and while I don't know a lot about Druma I don't imagine that the merchants followers of Kalistrade are keen on the elven isolasionist policy. To the southsouthwest and the southeast are the Five King Mountains, with the friendly but politically fractured dwarves. To the south is the Tanglebriar, the realm of the Nacent Demon Lord Treerazer on Golarion, who wants to conquer all of Kyonin. And to the east is Galt.
This is what, in family friendly terms, you would call a pretty bad situation. It is a bit alleviated by the existance of the Aiudara, or elven gates, which let them teleport to other places, so in that sense elves have more neighbours. Still not a good situation though.

I realized after I finished the video and had it posted, I didn't touch on politics at all, I missed the queen and all lol I'll have to do a follow-up video for eleven politics!

@@SirVertigo some things are always going to slip through, even if these deep dives aren't short hehe. I really enjoy them though, most of the info is new to me and I love those random locations/plot hooks you can throw in your games like the ruined gemstone tower or the corrupted treant here.

is pathfinder more popular than dnd in Russia? I've read somewhere that 3.5 and pathfinder 1 were really popular cause there was no 5e localization

You're right ! 10 years ago dnd 3.5 and passfinder 1e were very popular ! now most people play dnd 5e and few play passfinder 2e. I'm with a friend from the channel Lore, trying to popularize dnd and pf in Russia =)@@ericknorskr8568

Am surprised the elven ear is discussed yet nothing beyond the low-light vision for their eyes.
Know of an artist for PathFinder including good images of the elven unique 👀 eyes?

Are there different kinds of elves? Or is just a cultural thing? Any info about elf biology in pathfinder?

    • @SirVertigo
      @SirVertigo  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

So, the main difference in elves are cultural, but there are biologically different elves as well.
The Aiudeen are the most common elf, but you also have the Ayindilar Elves, who escaped into the darklands.
The Ilverani who are snow-elves. Biologically the same as Aiudeen, just paler skin and silver of hair.
The Jinin Elves, same as Aiudeen, Just asian I believe. I actually do not know much about them, they live over in Tian Xia.
The Mordant Spire elves, who seem to suffer from magical schizophrenia. They hear voices no one else does, and cut off conversations randomly.
The Mualijar Elves are the Mwangi Elves, darker skinned but mostly the same and seem to be pretty similiar to the Vourinoi Elves of the Deserts.
The only truly unique Elves, are Aquatic Elves, similar to how some of the Humans of Azlant refused to leave, and became aquatic after the earthfall.
Sorry, I know that's quite alot of info but I wanted to explain!

@tigo more complete information is always preferable over too little information. Well to me at least. And it helped me flesh out some more in world information for my elven necromancer -> lich playthrough in wrath of the righteous.
