Came here to say the same thing. The art style is VERY Darkest Dungeon, and the 'your will is tested' type stuff is very reminidscent.

My current Beta 2 play was an Aasimar Pacifier (oracle) and it was a very powerfull build and was very fitting. She wore armor and fought with sword and shield too. Though I do plan to do an Angel play after release as a Paladin Tiefling.
we'd make good companion i always play tiefling thief lol.
Actually, the trick here is that he's a *human* Paladin. He's simply a good way down the Angel mythic path.

Arilu is a strange villain, on one hand she is a monster, absolutely immoral and killed untold millions, but on the other hand you understand her.
Antivillain as it is. Still, understanding her motivations is one thing and having to do with the Worldwound is entirely another. You might feel sorrow, compassion, even sympathy with her, but there's one thing you must do no matter the cost: shut the Worldwound once and for all. Anyway, you are free to put the word for her before Pharasma, if you feel like it (unless you've chosen to become a lich).
@@user-cp2xo7nr8y Or chose a secret ending and show Pharasma a middle finger;). Still, the best ending (except the secret one) is Dragon ending, a REDEMPTION ending.
It's gonna be extremely difficult to tell better and more moving story than the one about Nyrissa and Lantern King, but I believe in Owlcat with all my heart !!!! I'm 33 years but I have tears in my eyes when I remember the hours spent with the first game. I could never hope I'd have another experience like playing Icewind Dale 2 or Baldur's Gate for the first time. Pillars of Eternity didn't do this to me, nor Divinity, but Pathfinder did !!!
so what do you think about pf:wotr? is it better than kingmaker storywise?
@@grit9982 overall the story is much better in Pathfinder: Kingmaker but WotR has one of the best companions ever made, the romances for male character equals those from BG 2 imo :)

This angel dude is cool but..., i will play as Wizard\evoker, with the Lich mythic path, i can almost hear Palpatine whisper in my ear quotes like: "The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural....," and that famous one "Power! Unlimited Power!".

oh yeah I remember early in the forums when we were discussing what other module of pathfinder they would make and I remember that this one was mentionned and I rooted for it to be chosen for the awesome celestial mythic path in a fiend invasion setting.
Already a strong contender to be my game of the year 2021. Cannot wait.

game really surpises you in how cunning subversive the demons are. how bathmat especially constantly forces you to suspect everyone and be paranoid all the while still surprising you.
i have to say the game throws on you many surprises and this i love when you can't guess the direction the story takes you
please take the time you need and carefully fix the bugs before the release and this will truly be a masterpiece.

This and Kingmaker is just to freaking hard lol! They're both fun but the learning curve is real.
Read pathfinder rpg guides. About your fav class and the rest will come easy
And maybe lower the difficulty if it’s too difficult my guy still pathfinder king maker is great.

Hope devil tieflings now have trait that can know lies right away when they hear them like description say they are. That trait look very useful now.

@@KalaamNozalys It makes me wonder how many times you could dragon. A pity the Half Dragon template from dnd isn't available. That way you could be a Mythic Gold Dragon Half Black Dragon Draconic (Silver) Scion Magus
In addition, the Angel mythic path is also much closer to the main plot in the beta as well.

Game 1 - build your kingdom (get randomly penalized by time manage mechanics that borks everything)
Game 2 - Fight a demon war; become King? Or demon lord??? (Probably get smacked twice as hard trying, if I've learned the pattern here guys)
Game 3 - Born Demigod; Ascend to full god - or die trying... probably a lot, let's be real (Realize even if you do become a full God, exactly how generally constrained they really are)

* Seriously though; next game, Demigod>Full. That's Ascension. Anything else is pretending to the throne ; )
Cautiously optimistic. Will have to wait for Xbox release, but I can be patient, if that's not a hint about game 3.

How much of the sequel it will be to kingmaker? Direct sequel we play with the same character? Nothing to do with first game? New character some mentions to the first game?
It's an indirect sequel. The story is set not long after the events in Kingmaker but in a different place. Only the world is the same, the characters (apart from one side character) and plot are completely different. There might be some references to the previous game but they are more like a side note or an easter egg. You don't have to play Kingmaker to play this one.
