    Thank you for putting the time to really dig into and show just exactly how the workings of the adoption indu$try is today in the US. We appreciate shining a light on this very dark business that treats innocent infants and vulnerable expectant parents as product and prey.

    Adoption should not be a market and no profits should be made by it.

      You are sure. But the government of the United States of America is full of politicians elected with money from these companies, so unless the population comes together to end the sale of human beings, nothing will change. Ah, there is also the sale of wives supported by the Law in the United States of America.

      In Brazil it is a crime, paid adoption can send someone to spend a 10-year vacation in jail. And Brazil is a country with more problems and 1 thousand times less money than the United States and here it's Crime.

      @@nosoynadaoriginal also on the non private adoption where the records are in the public but are sealed, I find it off-putting that most if not all parents who adopt keep the adoption a secret to the adoptee. Like in my case i asked multiple times about it growing up and my adoptive mother swept it under the rug like she was afraid I might find out something.
      Well after finding my birth parents, my birth mom is a complete sweetheart and is more of a mother to me now than my adoptive mother was growing up, she explained that she didn’t want to give me up and how she regretted her decision every day since. Knowing that I can see how my adoptive mom didn’t want to tell me anything about my adoption.

      @@carsi7282 my birth mom told me that my birth dad forced her to give me up since he was beating her physically and emotionally. Personally I think that all adoption records should be opened unless the adopter, birth parents/mother want them sealed.
      Also the reasoning behind closed adoption varies from state to state, here in Colorado it’s technically a crime to find your birth parents without going through the courts and petitioning to get those records, the wait time is nonexistent because the courts won’t release them unless absolutely necessary but it’s up to the courts to actually grant you the privilege of seeing those sealed records after a hefty fee of course.

      It is human trafficking. And. It’s a human rights violation against all the children involved. Taking our rightful family away from us and denying us access to them. Hiding our heritage, first identity becomes a new one. Adoptionland is a maze. 😢

    6:30 Says everything people should understand about the current adoption industry. Mixing $$$ with human beings rarely ends well. Many adults who were adopted as babies, now feel that they were merely a commodity and were denied rights to have even basic information about their birth.
    How exactly does this system benefit children?

  • @lizguz2771

    How do we get more views of this video? There are very few videos like this. This is so evil. There should be another person appointed to each case, someone who is advocating for choosing PARENTING for the birth mother, making sure she FULLY understands her rights. An advocate who at the first sight that mama is having second thoughts about adoption, is ready to advocate and fight for the birth mom to parent HER child. Why do these women ONLY have adoption workers?!! EVERYONE involved is acting out of selfishness and greed, even adoptive parents, unless they are fully invested in taking into account the decision and wellbeing of the birth mom.

    • @carsi7282
      @carsi7282 ปีที่แล้ว

      Christian churches are keeping the views down. Because they make money. Not just the adoption and baby price. But they get a piece of the child tax credits for 18 years, states get federal money for each child. It is all evil. What is really evil, it the birth mother gets nothing. A few medical bill and food paid for. But it is minimal because they don't want women making money off selling their babies. No only private businesses can do that. $50000 or $100000 - take a guess how much the mother would get?

    In Brazil, that is one crime, but in United States it's legal, shouldn't citizens of the United States of America be ashamed of legalizing such an industry? They sell human beings. And you don't know if the biological family had any choice, it's an industry that takes advantage of the vulnerability of others. Meanwhile, children of Foster care are not adopted, but they are children who deserve to have their own family. The United States of America has several systems for forming families, but it seems that they are all industries in the end, and work on the basis of Luck and without Law and pressure of population.
    I'm very happy to live in Brazil, where selling for one human that is Crime, at least our law doesn't support it.

      Also I have seen in facebook advertisements for “child day match” . It’s basically and event where some couples go to see some kids from 2 to 17 and decide if they want to foster the child. All the children try to be very funny and likeable to be taken by someone. Newsflash!! Some of them are pedos!! Disgusting system.

    Even non-profit agency adoptions rake in tons of $$$cash. There's minimal regulation on their income. So, that cash goes to inflated salaries, numerous overlapping specialists, and so on. Note that none of it contributes to resources for the baby or the natural mother.

  • @godzilla964

    The adoption industry is why I support abortion. It's just better to not have a child than to put a child in a system that exploits them solely for profit. Abortion is the most humane thing to do if you have an unwanted pregnancy.

    • @lapris7380
      @lapris7380 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Or just not doing thing arhat could lead to pregnancy until you care for the child. I don’t think the horrible adoption industry is an excuse for abortion. I think the time, effort, and resources being put into abortion should be put into increasing and bettering the resources these mothers need to either take care of their child or giving the child up to adoption as well as bettering the conditions of the adoption world.

    • @bevs9995
      @bevs9995 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fun Fact: Studies have shown that even when a woman is DENIED abortion, less than 9 percent would end up giving their child up for adoption -- which means that 91% keep their child.
      Keep in mind, they dont become pro-lifers, they simply realize that adoption is far more traumatic.
      Which means, the vast, vast, vast majority of women would chose abortion over adoption for an unwanted pregnancy, like 99% of them; and less than 1% would chose adoption. THAT is why you should support Abortion.
      As apposed to Pro-lifers, who will hear these statistics, and while the majority of them hate single moms, and hate welfare, because they are evangelicals, they will persist in their beliefs that the babies simply need to be pried from the hands of their birthmoms and given up for adoption, reasoning that "But Demand far outweighs Supply!!"

    • @bevs9995

      Abortion shouldn't be swapped out for adoption. Resources and support for our most vulnerable citizens mothers and children is what is needed. And yes I would pay higher taxes to support "single mothers". Good grief. What a comment, like it's all the mothers fault. Babies don't make themselves and the father should be held to account too.

    Adoptive parents are also at risk - most folks don't have easy access to 50k needed for adoptions of a newborn and won't get any kind of financial reimbursement if the birth mother decides to keep the child. They experience a loss very much like a miscarriage and on top of it all, they're out a ton of money and time. The whole industry feels like a racket.

    • @jenna3153
      @jenna3153 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The whole industry IS a racket. Adoptive parents are the least vulnerable here, though, and the ones with the most (relative) power. Were it not for the intense demand for babies by prospective adopters, there would be far less opportunity for corruption, coercion, etc.
