I'm proud that you're still letting yourself do what makes you happy instead of staying away from it. The music sounds amazing and I hope to hear more from you. Wishing you a faster recovery.
Thanks so much my friend! I feel I need to use this dark moment to create something with it, otherwise it will have been all for nothing. Thanks for sharing the journey with me❤️
Hi mate , from Australia. I too am awaiting surgery , it can be a nervous time , especially if we haven’t underwent surgery before. You are right to keep occupied and in the present moment , worrying solves nothing . I ride motorbikes , and dabble in music , It is so good to see people who truly love something in action . Good luck with everything , and like the tune .
I held off for a while lol😅 it takes a minute to adjust but it’s all there, just in different places, but so far it makes for a much more streamlined flow🤘🏻 just need to polish it a bit before release but I’m excited to see where things are going! Thanks so much for stopping by old friend🙌🏻🙌🏻
Hope the surgery went well. I was recovering from, of all things, oral surgery last week when I saw your video about your injury. If nothing else, it put my post-surgery discomfort in perspective. Looking forward to seeing content during your enforced sabbatical.
Hey!!! Thanks so much for sharing my friend! My surgery went well and I’m still in recovery but optimistic. I hope your pain went away, post oral surgery pain and swelling can be long lasting sometimes, hope it’s not the case. Lots of love!!
I really like where this song is going. May be one of the best things I’ve heard a TH-camr create, and it’s just the start. Eager to see how it develops. I hope you feel better-they say limitations breed creativity, so maybe there’s a silver lining to the injury?
Thank you so much for that! I’m thinking of further developing it after my surgery, maybe add some vocals💪🏼 I hope that limitations do breed creativity cause I’m gonna be pretty limited in the next few months LOL😅 thanks for watching my friend, appreciate you and hope to see you soon!
Thanks for an honest appraisal. After watching this I took the plunge & updated to MPC3. I was initially WTF??....But within an hour I'd got the hang of it. It's pretty intuitive. Bravo AKAI PRO
Thanks for the video ! Your opinion matters a lot for me . I have a mpc one and the way you are explaining offers a very easy and good introductory view!
What you can do is make all your sequences, then in song mode, convert those sequences to one sequence. From there you can see your whole song in the arranger.
So happy to see you in good shape, still making videos and music!. Right now I'm kindof learning the standalone MPC 2 software and even tho it feels a bit dated, I do like the flexibility of it. Watching your video seems that Akai wants to balance the old workflow with a more modern one with the arranger view!. Suerte en tu cirugía !
Lol, thanks! I guess the One gets more screen time cause it’s lots of people gateway into MPC. I’ve been a heavy user for years so when the SE came out I jumped at it😂 thanks so much for watching! See you soon🤘🏻
Maan you look like five years younger. :) Very nice. I'll remember you tomorrow, everything will be fine. All the best from the Czech Republic Mr. Synthesist
Good stuff! I'm a fan of this update - but I'm holding off on investing too heavily in it until Akai officially promises the return of time signatures other than 4/4.
Glad you are enjoying 3.0 so far. It does seem like it has some cool stuff in it but, for me, I couldn't stand the lack of sequence level track mutes. I usually write songs with each section (e.g. verse1) corresponding to is own sequence. Then I will, copy a sequence and modify it somewhat (e.g. no lead track in verse2). MPC 3.0 ruins that workflow by implementing track mutes that affect every track in the song (i.e. now the lead is muted in every sequence, not just verse 2). I know I could use automation to do something similar, but it feels like a lot of unnecessary steps and majorly takes me out of the creative moment. I hope Akai changes this before the official release, otherwise I'll just stay on 2 (or bust out my MPC 1000). I'd be curious to know your thoughts. Good luck with the surgery!
aaand Akai just added track mute per sequence to 3.0 Beta 2 lol. I'll have to give it another shot. I hope they made it a little more efficient too though. Hard to have multiple instances of Jura running with the overhead needed for 3.0. I'm still excited to give it another go though.
MPC 3 is a great upgrade, and I'm excited to see MPC finally running the Force's V3 software instead of the old V2 platform, even if it's an incomplete beta version. It's still behind, but it'll catch up eventually. Probably.
Hi, tiny technical suggestion... If you are using Resolve to edit, you might want to add the "Flicker removal" effect to the timeline. Set it to Fluro light That will take care of the sync problem with the LEDs on the pad matrix and on the Polybrute. Thank me later :)
You're not old you're only 41, when you get to be 70 years old like me changes are a real hassle and also you will have low energy like me. Here's a little advice, cut down on the red meat and fatty foods like cheese and increase the vegetable and fruits because in the long run you will be a lot better off as you go through life.
“Hello, I’m using the MPC Key 61 with MPC2 software, and I’ve purchased several expansions…I’m looking to use these loops as playable instruments across my keyboard rather than triggering them as loops. How can I map these sounds across my keys so that I can play them as individual notes? Any guidance on how to achieve this within the MPC software would be greatly appreciated.”
Sacrelidge! lol. Jams, dude. You mentioned that you don't want to waste too much time on the drums. I'm the same. Just get things down. I think we (people) may spend too much time with the "right sound". Although there are certain sounds that make all the difference, the idea is the ticket. Great video! Who makes those arm slings ;)
@@chrisfaison8912 hi! You can download the open public beta now if you go to AKAIs website👍🏼 no idea when the final version comes out though. Good luck!
Glad the arm isn't keeping you from at least one part of your life. (I'm guessing a one armed dentist would struggle). I strictly use my MPC One for performance to play clips for our cover band, so my use is rather limited. I got brave, backed up and installed the update. Other than my Q-Links getting switched from Program to Screen mode, it went seamlessly. Fixing the Q-links took all of two minutes as I needed to figure out how to change them back. It does look a lot nicer and in many ways more intuitive.
IMHO, Roland dropped the ball with the Fantom. The sequencer should have been an enhancement of the FA series linear sequencer. Also, why not add 4 tracks of timestretched audio. The X and the G had this. Anything with a ZenCore engine would be the perfect complement to the MPC.

I use the desktop software and theeeee most retarded thing Akai’s developers have not included is a key shortcut to double the length of the bars. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Even when you want to do this it’s 3 or 4 clicks deep in the menus. This new update better have an option with the keys.
Some honest words: For a long time I thought of you as just another synth shill bowing to big-synth money. But since your last video that changed! I wish you a speedy recovery and I'm looking forward for new content! :)
@@Crushcarter it’s got me excited as well! I’ll be making more of these sessions in the coming weeks to further explore mpc3! Hope you stop by! See you soon!
Hmmmmm, well I'm glad some people are liking MPC 3, I tried it and it was a disaster. UI looks janky AF with the level meters having an incredibly poor update speed so unusable. Every project I loaded from my library was totally ruined with nothing working the way it was written. I was hoping the sequencer was going to be better than the original but it's still the same old garbage. I'll keep it as it's a great sampler and pretty cheap for what it can do, however the sequencer isn't for me (I think I should've got the force to be honest, but it's huuuuuge). If it could do clips like ableton then it could be a good sequencer for my use.
If you haven't evolved, maybe. I recently tried a "legacy" MPC (the revered 3000) after having used a modern MPC for a long while now... Whilst it was very cool & fun, and did give me a good feeling of nostalgia, there's just no way I could go back to the clucky workflow. But each to their own I guess, whatever works for you.
I don't get it. I thought the point of 'dawless' was getting away from starring at a screen and having the 'tactile sensation'. This is an ipad with some buttons. Just use a computer and save the money.
