Wow, FINALLY a great step by step video from start to finish. As an older handyman / do it yourselfer I can do a lot of things with proper guidance. I think back of years ago when we had to do things without todays technology, TH-cam is my go to for anything instructural these days so a HUGE thank you for taking the time to make this. I plan to start my project soon, I'm hoping lumber cost's will stabilize a bit. Maybe you can come down to Florida to make sure I'm doing it right. lol ... Thanks again, you da man.
Thanks, glad you liked it! It has been an amazing resource for anything and I find it so cool I can help others like this all over the world, it's amazing. I would love to come down to Florida lol be warmer than here right now. Good luck on yours! Keep me posted, I'd love to see it
Love the idea of using gravity to drill sheathing to wall frame while positioned on the floor. Your years of experience really show in your economy of motion.
Finally - the overhang explained properly - it seems so obvious, but Ive been watching endless videos and youre the only one who explained it! Thanks a million - you're my shed hero! 😃
Awesome, well I'm glad I could help! Sometimes something obvious isn't so until you have it explained properly, then you wonder how you didn't notice it before. 🤔 Good luck on your shed!
My husband and I have the floor and the back wall completed. We are so very slow, but you are a good teacher. Thanks so much. Getting better with each part we complete! Our shed is 10 x 12 and will be a bit taller than your shed. All your suggestions and explanations are allowing us to modify your plans to fit our shed. Excited to complete it. Thanks again.
That's awesome, good to hear! I'm just glad I could help out and that you tackled building it! Keep at it and good luck. Keep me posted, I'd love to see it when you're done!

Thanks for such a great step by step shed building video series. I have a tendency to over analyze projects before starting. This just jump started me and my son-in-law who will assist me in my shed build, with your guidance. Best part is size is flexible and your layout works for tweaking.
Anytime, I'm glad you like it! I do the same thing from time to time and will waste hours. But then I force myself to step back and look at it again from a simple perspective. That's how I made this was to be simple and easy to follow. And yeah, it's completely flexible. Good luck on yours!
Finally a video where you can actually SEE what the person is doing :) I bet 1/2 of the DIY video's on here are worthless because you can never see what they are actually doing. Hope this gets a lot more views.
I agreed with you before I made these lol that was my biggest issue with most of the shed videos I saw. They built it, but didn't show anything and left too many questions, so I wanted to fix that. Thanks, glad you liked it!
Great video with details well explained. I have built 2 like that for our annual campsite. One option an old guy taught me was to leave the front and back sheathing 4 inch above the top plates. Then notch them where the roof rafters sit if you are planning for an overhang. No need to add fillers after, hope that makes sense.
Thanks. It makes perfect sense yup. I was just trying to make this as easy and approachable for everybody to build so I didn't want to overcomplicate things
At last a video I can understand about building shed walls. You made it easy to follow and understand. I’m going to tackle my shed in a couple of months and I’m gathering knowledge and information. Thank you so much.
Love the idea of screwing sheathing to wall in the down position. Gravity working in your favor. I can see your years of experience by observing your economy of motion. Picked up some nice tips. Very grateful for your video. Starting tomorrow to prep the site.
My wife and I have been planning on building a shed for a while now. Finding your videos has been helpful for sure. We can't go any deeper than 6 feet in our yard because of the septic, but the cutoffs should be easy enough. Appreciate the content!
New to this channel, A BIG Thank You, you have answered all my Questions. I have not started my shed, still prepping the level of the Ground...west Texas dirt..lots of Rocks. But I will be following you more. Again thank you!!
Great video. I've built a couple but like the way you did yours. In case someone hasn't mentioned it yet, one thing to do before lifting a wall is to attach a 2X4 on one end of the wall with a single nail (or screw) about a foot or so from the top. Lay it on the side of the foundation so when the wall is raised the 2X4 will also go up. When the wall is vertical, screw the other end of the 2X4 to the base of the floor/foundation to hold the wall in place.
Jesse you are literally the best! I am building a shed tomorrow & thanks to you I am not so scared lol! You are so thorough & you keep it simple, it is obvious you build houses:) Super grateful🏡🌈

What a nice series of videos, Jesse. I join the team of your followers saying that it is simple, well described, short, informative and highly useful. Many thanks! You defintely have a talent of teaching/delivering on video camera. Cameraman for 40 years myself, I've been follwing many "pros" unable to speak anywhere near you.
Thanks so much! Well I'm glad that you and everybody else is finding them so useful and informative...I mean, that was my plan but you never know if it'll click with people. I appreciate it!
Great video this is the one of the most detailed shed video's i have seen on youtube. The only thing i disagree with is the lack of a need for pressure treated lumber above the ground. When a termite colony is mature enough swarmers come to the surface and fly around looking for places to start a new colony. When these swarmers find a suitable place they mark it . Subterranean termites build mud tubes to the marked area and begin to consume the wood. This is how raised homes still get consumed by termites. It honestly depends on where you live In general i always build first floors from presuretreated materials . Where i am this is such a large practice that pressure treated lumber is cheaper than standard prime studs. Anyone in the termite belt should just use all pressure treated lumber .
Thanks, I appreciate it! In my area we do not have termites, they just don't exist here. This is basically the exact same way we build homes where I'm from, and this is how I did it everyday in the trades it's normal for me. But thanks for sharing your information to all those that do live in the termite belt, I'm sure they'll appreciate it.
Thank you again. Building the walls was so much fun to me even though I had a moment as my higher wall with siding came down on me.....but the hulk (haha) in me came out and I was able to lift it, move it to where it needed to be and got it installed. Walls came out great for a rookie. ;)
This shed build is awesome. Thank you. You do an excellent job explaining what you are doing and yes I am building one this summer and I will use these videos as guides!😊

Great videos, thanks man. I've been sketching out my shed plans for a couple months and am starting the build this weekend. Your video series helped me a lot - there were some things I didn't consider LOL. I can safely say you've saved me from a few mistakes. Cheers.
No prob. Yeah, they actually made it harder to find now which I don't like. It's directly below the video though, you'll see where I have a small write up abut the video, then it cuts off and you can click to see more. The link is at the bottom. Thank you for this build tutorial, I am building a lean to shed this spring and really like your videos you kept it simple yet detailed. Also like how you did the flooring with 4x4 and 2x4. Great Tutorial!
New sub here. Excellent tutorial with attention to detail. I've watched many YT videos on shed building and this is by far the best. Thank you so much!
Fixing to build a shed soon, love your insight on building all sides and rear first. I like the slant roof style but I’m still debating A frame roof as well which I’ve built both. I learned from your video was the siding overhang for the 2x4stud and 1/2 inch siding. That is easy to overlook but ugly if you forget.
Thanks, glad I could help! This style roof is just so much simpler, and is actually called a classic shed roof, so it makes sense lol Yup, a little bit of planning makes big differences in the end

It's directly below the video though, you'll see where I have a small write up abut the video, then it cuts off and you can click to see more. The link is at the bottom.
Very nice build and instructions, now to watch part 3.
Stay Safe,
Barry (ENG)
Thanks! Glad I could help. Enjoy and thanks for watching!
One year later and I’m using this video for reference 💪🏽
Awesome! Good luck
