Do you struggle with straps that are too long? Does your dress slide down and keep you in the constant fear of a nip-slip? Then I am here to help with today's video where I show you how to shorten the straps on a dress or how to take up the straps on a top. This technique will work on many different types of dresses and straps for example wide straps or short straps like a slip dress. I will be using my sewing machine today to make it a bit quicker and save some time but you could do it by hand without a sewing machine. Shortening dress straps doesn't have to be difficult. It's easy!
The dress that I am working on today is a black linen dress from H&M. I thrifted it from Sellpy a while ago but the straps are too long and it keeps on sliding forward. So before I wear it out I want to thrift flip it and shorten the straps and tailor it to my body 😄
