It scrapes away cells of the organic tissue it passes through and against, and eventually, our bodies can't produce new cells fast enough to keep up with the deterioration, thus creating the "old" look of aging, and eventually death.

We have a 4.5 lb / 2.0 kg coconut falling from a big palm tree that we'll say is 66 ft / 20 m tall (reasonable height for a coconut palm).
mgy=1/2mv^2 -------> gy=1/2v^2 ----->(9.8)(20) = 1/2v^2 ----> v^2=392 -----> v=19.8 m/s
So we have a 4.5 lb coconut striking the guy's head at 44 mph. That's about 14 times the momentum of a 9mm pistol shot. We can therefore conclude that falling coconuts are far more deadly than most pistol shots

What about my coconuts will they fall 14 times if the 20 pounds it kinda hard to walk around
though you have to consider the shape and size of pistol bullets vs. coconuts. Also bullets are really only dangerous depending on where the person gets shot. I think coconuts are more likely to fall on someone's head which is vulnerable to blunt force trauma. Nice physics though.
Even if your calculations were right (Too lazy to check), you aer still not calculating the surface area, it loses velocity because it has a big surface, plus it hits your body with a big surface, unlike a bullet which is fast and really small and made from a material that doesnt break, which means it will go through becacuse of the force working on a small area, unlike a coconut.

bullets are lead, they shatter into 3-8 pieces usaully, so "doesnt break" is false, coconuts are much more resilient.
In the Amazon when it floods the fire ants clump up and form balls of ants to float. When they do that they float until they find land then they disperse. Unfortunately for some South Americans the ants mistook them for dry land and unloaded their ant ball onto them. They died hard.

It's to study the way ants build their nests. It creates a perfect mold of what's underground. The ants die instantly, no brutality involved.

Aaron Ciavarra Fire ants are a pest and are extremely invasive and should be killed because of how fast they are spreading and the damage that they do / deaths they cause,In a way molten aluminum is more humane than most poisons so i'd say that it's a better way to go Especially for Science. - if we invaded a aliens planet and became a pest i'd say it would be a different story if they did that to our homes and poured hot metal over us as we would be a pest and did not belong there...i like turtles.

Was walking to school one day on the side of the road, and im just walking and all of a sudden I black out. I wake up about an hour later in someones house and some lady talking on the phone crying and this kid just jumping around me. Apparently an avocado fell on my head from her badly placed avocado tree in the front right above the street. The kid went outside and found me and apparently noone on the street decided to help me for about 20 minutes.... They said if it had hit me anymore to the left and it would have broken my nerve functions XD

You guys must not live in a very cold place to know about the icicle thing. It's rather common knowledge here; there are even signs outside buildings with high overhangs that read 'caution: falling ice'. I had one graze my back and it tore through the shirt I was wearing. Pretty scary.
I live in New Zealand and we have the same signs in some colder parts for eg I used to live in national park(super cold)middle of the north island. And we had to stand out in the open to smoke because standing next to buildings was how to put it... ... an uneasy felling. Then bam one fell off and hit a tourist in the shoulder. Scary shit.

Fire ants are scary. when I was training at Fort Sam Houston, TX, I crawled through an ant mound, and sustained of 75 bites in seconds, and started going into anaphylaxis. It was humbling.

I honestly don't know why only 5 things would be unexpected. EVERYTHING in the entire world can kill you. Tiny bug, choke on it. Pillow, someone could suffocate you with it. Strain jacket, well... you could die from a heart attack and no one would know because you're locked in a room.
