I felt emotional too after watching their documentary.
Not only the songs but what he was saying like "Please live and and say I love you to your loved one" .
He lost one of his best friend (from suicide) in this pandemic so that part hit damn so hard.
oh damn! I didn't know that ... now the emotions are back!

Yeah...do you know the song called "c.h.a.o.s.m.y.t.h." ?
Taka wrote this song for his best friends. “H” is for Haruma Miura an famous actor in Japan but he ended his life at the age of 30 during this pandemic. In this online concert, Taka sang this song and I felt like he was singing to him because he kept looking at the sky. He looked like holding back his tears.
In many ways this documentary and concert made me sooo emotional.

They just released this live in DVD&Blu-ray recently too, perfect time to check it out and a review would be nice cuz so far i don't see people talk about this often.
You are right. Taka's voice is too good. He can sing hard rock and soft ballads. His versatility is insane. That's totally not fair XD
You might not realize this if you haven't had the chance to watch all their live DVD/Blu-rays, but OOR have always had some kind of choreography and moves for certain songs. There's the simultaneous spinning kicks Toru and Ryota often do in Mighty Long Fall, Taka-Toru's infamous choreo at the beginning of 20/20 for their 2017 Japan Ambitions tour, and in the last chorus of The Beginning Taka, Toru and Ryota moves to the front and head bang together. They do this when they perform these songs in almost every Japan tour. They can't really do it in overseas tours since the stages are usually smaller, but if you look at various fan recordings of Bon Voyage, they do a move during the intro that they don't do in their Japan tours for that song.

Really enjoyed your reaction because you obviously are a fan having been to two live concerts. The DVD for the concert came out on Nov. 17 and I bought a copy and was very happy that I did because what was shown on the documentary was but a small part of the concert. People should appreciate how much work goes into putting on a concert and Taka is very hands on and is very particular about how he wants things done. I think that is why their performances are so special. The only part missing from the DVD was the performance of the singers for the Re: Project. Maybe that was because they have their own companies and Taka brought them together because he wanted the song to have other singers who started about the same time as One OK Rock. He wasn't even sure they would be interested because he never met them before but they were all excited about doing this song during the pandemic. It was very popular and I wish it would come out as a single at least. Sorry this was so long but I really do love One Ok Rock and even though I discovered them only in 2020, I now have all of their albums and concert blu-rays and have watched them many times because they are so good. Thanks.

At 12:20, you are asking about his brother. Hiro is the lead vocalist of MY FIRST STORY, a famous Japanese rock band too :)
he knows Hiroki and MFS, he's most likely referring to Tomohiro who works behind the spotlight on tv productions or something...
I'm kind of curious of your reaction when Taka revealed that he was part of boyband/idol group agency (Johnny) before joining OOR, but it looks like you skip it. Because it is kind of interesting fact that a singer of rock band was once a member of boyband/idol.
I am glad that Taka got kicked out of the boy band News because he would not have reached his full potential if he stayed in the group. We would not be able to enjoy his beautiful voice and all the wonderful music that he creates. He is a genius in creating songs that are so memorable.
