@@OutdoorAcademyAustralia likewise! I appreciate the info about pressure immobilization and the newer bandages that portray the tension
That technique is not taught in North America for "vector-borne illness" (venomous toxic bites & stings).

@@meljane8339 I'll be making a pressure immobilisation video soon on snakebite. Glad you liked the video.

Bloody brilliant John. Like the new video intro as well, I am sure that the Chanel will go from strength to strength. Please don't feel awkward about being in front of the camera, you come over as a genuine and knowledgeable guy without any of the modern bullshit. As I have aged I have become aware of " it will happen to me" I have only just recently bought a tourniquet to compliment my Israeli bandages and celetox. One thing I am very very pleased about is I don't have to carry around a snake bite kit. Worst you can get over here is a tick bite or hornet sting. You can keep all of your snakes and spiders and fly's and mozzies and god knows what else in Australia. Once again thank you for your time and effort in providing us with good info.
All the best John the pom

Cheers John. More long content stuff on the way. The snakes here just want to be left alone. Most people get bit trying to mess with them. I'll be doing some videos on that too.
      All the best

I did a course with 'Survivor First Response' many years ago. SFR was taught by Paramedics. They told me i should apply to be a Paramedic myself. However having been a naughty young fella in my early 20s (drugs) That put the mokka on that mate.
I Like this one mate, addressing serious issues in remote areas, and with todays technology, the RFDS is just a phone call away.
Not for me and my aneurysm though Gary, dead in about 10 secs if it bursts. Ahh well shit happens eh.. 😕

Thanks for sharing your story. You don't need to be a paramedic to save lives. Share your story to young people so they avoid our mistakes.
      Cheers Lex.
