Just bought my first c63 last August. 2011 black with 62k miles. Not p31 package but stock is good enough for me, especially daily driving. Your car is so well optioned, what a great find!

Beautiful colour, Simon! The C63 AMG is indeed one of the best daily drivers. Best thing is it flies under the radar - for 99.9% of the people, its just another garden variety old C class; you can happily park it on the roadside (a guy in my suburb parks his C63 overnight on the service road of a main road) or a multi-storey carpark without fearing vandals; take it to work without your colleagues considering you a rich "b"anker (unlike a Porsche 911 / Maserati GT etc)! And the good ones like yours are only going to go up in value.

When you import a car there 5% custom duty at port , then compliance is $1000 add this up with car taxes in oz = c63s tax $62000 . In USA there no federal sales tax = $84000usd without taxes ( Government always profit the most on sales since Bob Hawke 1985
I got the w204 C63 Performance wagon. So yes that is absolutely a thing here in Europe and is properly an even more perfect daily driver than the coupe. I think the coupe is more special tho. Especially in that dark rich blue color of yours! Also: Perfect capture of the exhaust note. Thank you.
Agreed on all points! (I may be biased as I own one too!) Your looks absolutely stunning in that paint/leather combo! :) And yes, they did make them as a wagon too, which is super-cool in its own way :) (And to me the 205 looks like its melted slightly...)
Could you do a video comparing the engines of your SL55 and C63? I haven’t seen any videos that compare those two engines done by someone who has both. Thanks for all your great videos :-)
I love the Maserati Granturismo, but it is not a car you can drive to work as it creates the wrong perception about you! Most people are not car people & they will think you are filthy-rich even if you are driving a 2008 example. Not a good impression if you are an employee in most workplaces!
I agree the GT sounds awesome and is practical, but would be concerned about reliability daily driving it... check out my GT videos from 2017/8 on my channel!
@@mguytv I remember yours was the MC Shift. I think your right if you get the mc shift or stradale transmission which add that extra drama to the shifts its probably not a daily. But with the ZF auto transmission you could get away with it.
I'll stick to my more reliable and much faster W211 E55 AMG But nice video and beautiful C63. I love the color, both exterior and interior. Lovely combination!
You m113 boys kill me. You guys down play every other AMG built engines performance. Then you guys believe that the m113k are so much more reliable than every other AMG engines. The m113 had its faults just like any engine. I have two m156 engines and two m157 engines, also had a m178 and never had an issue with any of them.
I drive an SL From the mid 2000s and six second 0 to 60,(mercedes says), is a bunch of hogwash. There are several things you could do you must reprogram the transmission and switch it into ABC sports mode.. Which I do seldom. I just driving his sport and reprogram the transmission once every three months. I've had that car several years and I just love it.
How would you compare your C63 engine vs say S65 V12? Looking at both an SL63 2009 and an SL65 2004 as a daily driver. Either of these vehicles more reliable than the other?
I had the CL65 with the V12 as well, but the C63 is a more enjoyable drive - the V12 was incredible but somehow didn’t have the same character as the V8. It’s all down to personal taste.
what's your pros and cons against for example your SL? sizes not so different and do you really need those 4 seats? instead SL offers open air experience..and a pillar less coupe experience..or e63 with same engine but offers slightly more space overall with (maybe?) better ride? could you explain that further :)
Have you had any issues with your m156? I have heard that camshafts/adjusters/liftesr have been an issue for many and I have yet to experience that problem

Haha, yes I agree looks a bit saggy, especially in the 4door version - but I think the 205 coupe is very nice though...!

Faster how? Off the line and only while going straight? Sure. In EVERY other driving scenario? your car is slower.

Yes for some there is wear on the lifters but the later the engine the better I think.
Is this the same engine as in the R63?
Yes, the M156 6.2 litre V8 - the R63 is a great car!
