I’m 23 but after purchasing a streak of classic frags such as CK Obsession, Paul Sebastian fine cologne, Lapidus and Paco Rabanne pour homme, I can’t get enough of these older formulas. I’m a blind buyer so your reviews play a big part in my purchases. Love your videos and keep up the good work fellas

Just purchased Cabochard edt 2019 for a song. Very oakmossy, 50's bossbitch with an ashtray on her desk kind of fragrance(to me). Any florals only detectable after a few hours if you breathe warm air into it. Lovely Lalique bottle.

Thanks for this delightful video. Cabochard and Aromatics Elixir are two of my favorite budget revelations; they bring me joy every time I wear them. Aromatics Elixir has an apple note that I find surprising and intriguing.

Intriguing for sure, I was wearing AE yesterday and it was a joy, by chance came across a bottle of Cabochard as the price was too good to bypass I blind bought. Tested last night and know this is a future love.

As everyone here has said great video, good to see the spotlight on the creative artists rather than brand. The lineage and creative paths can be traced which is so interesting in itself but also a marker for some of today's releases. As in many cases it's been done before as you show here. Bravo.

The new Cabochard is distributed by Lalique, there still seem to be companies that care thank God.
The rumor is that Estée Lauder wants to sell/has sold the distribution rights to the Aramis line. Who knows what the new distributors are going to do with it.
According to Parfumo Aromatics Elixir came out in 1971. Interesting to see that Chant created a feminine and then transformed the formula into a masculine multiple times in his career.

Dear Gentlemen, I think you are great when it comes to your description and really every moss, wood, flower kind of the perfumes you know it all so well and it is correct because the perfumes you present I know most of them and it is correct word for word ! I love that! Kind regards Amelia Hall from the Netherlands

I just picked up a bottle of Halston at the drugstore for like $20. I don’t know if there’s a difference formulation in Europe but it’s produced in the US and there is real oak moss in it. It might still be within the IFRA levels with things like veramoss alongside it. Not sure, but it’s beautiful. I really need more of his stuff and have been planning on getting more.
Great video. Thank you for all the great content. 🖤

I just bought the modern Cabochard edp - it was practically free - sprayed it in the box and it was utterly vile... A bit later I tried it on my arm, and I really like it!! Big lesson learnt - paper or card can gobble up half of the most interesting ingredients. Most people probably know that, but I see so many reviewers spraying on paper strips.

He is an unsung legend. Aramis and Aramis 900 original were my favs from the 70 s and 80s Aramis 900 underwent a painful reformation to remove the civet and allows but I believe it is now discontinued??

    • @JustinHight-py2sw

I have smelled vintage and modern Aramis 900 and I don't think there's a massive difference. But with Aramis Devin they took out almost all the animalics it's still good but just different. Those are two of my favorite fragrances

Aramis is my favorite house (if I have one), so Bernard Chant is arguably my favorite nose. He was head perfumer for International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), and it's a shame there isn't even a good Wikipedia biography of him.

The boys are back in town! 💯 % concur that the perfumers and individuals BEHIND the scents are equivalent to musicians, painters 🎨, sculptors & engineers. I think there should be a movement to get these wonderful people who have laboured over their #olfactory art for years - wiki pages! Funnily enough I picked up a 1973 (!) #CABOCHARD Gres a few weeks ago. Small EDT - similar atomiser to the amazing one you tried... it is divine. Bitter, green, dank and powdery too. I love it. Serious faced smell but it provides me with a nice character to enjoy for the day! #fragrances #perfume #fragrance #fragrancechat #organloft #Thorsatomizer
