Dressage Braids for LONG manes| TUTORIAL

Hey guys! Since like most of you I’m stuck at home I’ve got lots of extra time to spend with the ponies! Here is a video of how I braid Jake for Vaulting competitions, this is also what I do with Zamando for dressage shows when his mane is long!

What about medium hair... Will this work on that?

You'll have to make the braids a lot thinner, or else you won't be able to tie it in a knot or you won't really have mane left over to braid into the next ones. I do this style of braids on manes that are 8-10 in long the only difference is that i braid yarn in and tie each braid off separately since there won't be any hair sticking out when you pull the yearn through. You can also skip the knot tying and just pull the braid straight through but the bun won't look as round :) . Hope this helps!

@@JC_horsetraining how many stalls do you have and will you get anymore horses or a horse?

Emily Lipsitz we only have 3 stalls in the barn. Our two ponies share a large stall and paddock and my mini Nemo lives with a friend (he is a companion for another pony). So even if I wanted to I couldn’t have another horse 😆!
