My Uncle Bob was a "Professional" Musician when he was 7 yrs old!! He was "A Natural". While I was struggling with a chord progression, he explained to me; "You rockers complicate everything. Give some credit to the guy who figured out how to tune the damn thing & you'll realize the prettiest chords are also the easiest to play in their simplicity." Uncle Bob owned the Tri-City Piano Shop & Service. He gave me my first Guitar & Pushed this ignorant Hippy Punk Kid over the edge of Rock to Appreciate ALL forms of Good & Great Music from ages passed to the Present!! I Miss that Old Fart!!
I mostly listen to death and thrash metal, but when I pick up my acoustic to noodle, I enjoy playing this same kind of folky fingerpicked stuff the most. Especially letting the notes ring out and drifting away.
One does not simply play guitar and let the notes ring.... the guitar ringing is a gift to the foes of Mordor... why not play those notes and use it against Sauron? "have we heard nothing?" The Acoustic guitar answers to Sauron alone... only he can bend its strings to his will... only he can use it, and he does not share power chords!.... the guitar must destroied.... it must be cast back into the fires of mount doom... only there...can death metal be unmade...
@@VoiceofReason79 Sauriff forged a master acoustic. In it, he poured his dissonance, harmonic minor, and Tritone modes. One by one, they fell into The Shadows and dark country blues.
Me too. I play a lot of blues and classic rock. I invested in a repaired nylon acoustic a couple of summers ago and ever since I’ve been conquering fingerpicking. Sets the mind right.
After 12 seconds, my heart starts to melt... what a truly beautiful chord progression this is! Will try to play it today when arriving home. Thanks for sharing man!
Makes me think of the hero's journey story arc. Going out, exploring, having adventures, and returning back. Nothing has changed, but everything is changed, because of what's been learned in the exploration by the adventurer. Beautifully played. ❤
@@msgussiesplace I went to your channel and I was going to comment on a couple of your videos, but looks like comments are off. Just to say, it looks like you're doing amazing work with kids who have special ***powers***!!!! I love that language change! In high school, I often babysat a kid with Down's Syndrome. He was 3 and 4 in the years I babysat him and his brothers, and he was so fantastic! We had a joyful time telling jokes and stories and playing games. His brothers were great too. They really looked out for him. I was also a massage therapist in (what feels like) a previous lifetime. For a while I had weekly massage appointments with a young woman who had many special powers as well. I would go to her mom's house (she lived with her mom) and set up my massage table. We had some amazing conversations during her sessions. I had not remembered either of those experiences in many many years, but your videos made me think of both of them. So, thank you for bringing back in those great memories.
it is indeed a rather simple but piece but so beautiful, and just hearing Marco's voice gives me the certainty and the pat on the back that I am doing it right. But it should be possible without further instruction.
So much appreciate your videos. You are always thinking of ways to make playing as inspiring and approachable for the many levels of experience in your audience of viewers as possible. I know the time editing and producing is a lot of work. Unfortunately not all of your work gets a Tutorial. Even the easiest and shortest pieces would be greatly benefited from for the many levels of players with a Slow showing of the Fingerings used to set up for next sequence of notes or chords. As a Patreon I know first hand the gift of your unique approach to Finger-style guitar music and the value of your Tutorials is greatly appreciated. 🙏🏼 Respect.
I have to echo all that "Road Glide" says. I'm an absolute beginner and learn a lot from Marco's technique in applying chord changes. It would help me enormously (I'm very slow) to have a dummies guide to the fingering. Thank you so much Marco.
This sounds absolutely beautiful and I would love to know more about your recording setup! I love how you just put "Rode" mic. Large diaphragm? Any more details? The editing of the audio is pristine. Obviously the room, the guitar, and your playing are excellent to start with. Very very nice work.
Great sound, very well recorded and processed Marco. If you would be open to it, would you want to demonstrate in a video how you achieved this sound? That woud be great!
Wow. Please tell me there is a full length version of this out there, Marco. What's the name of it? I immediately started a slow sway to this and I want more. 😁❤

Very nice. I wish I could play that. I will have a go and practice ( for a few years probably ), but hopefully I can learn and pick this tune up0. Cheers from West Wales :-)
This sound of acoustic guitar remembers me my dad, who passed away 5 years ago and was a great acoustic guitarist. RIP, dad, I miss you ❤ 🙏🏼 🕊
im sorry for your loss bro. its nice to hear that you have these beautiful memories of him, may he rest in peace
@xebit6661 Tahnk you. The good thing is that he lives as a memory through the music.
🙏🏆❤️
So sorry
I'm sorry your Dad passed. Enjoy your good memories of him. Take care.
The simplest tunes are often the most evocative. Beautifully played!

Same chord progression as Evanescence's my immortal, but without the raven and black make-up feel 😍 love both
Exactly what I was thinking right now as I'm listening to it !
Yessss I heard it too
Thanks, I'll look that one up. 😁
Stealing my comment 😂 ty

Getting a hint of Moonlight Sonata vibes. Great job!
Oh wow, I didn’t catch that on first listen. NICE CALL!!!
It's funny cause this song was written by a mexican guitarist and It's actually called Sunlight Piñata.

Extremely beautiful well done!! Absolutely love this content and your ukulele content
Come home from work absolutely stressed out, listen to this calming melodic passage, ....... Stress gone
THANK YOU MARCO
I got distracted from my work by this.😅
Leave me quietly breathless. God Bless.
This reminds me of Lost: Life and Death. I played that melody on my guitar along to yours, and it came together perfectly 🤩
I was wondering where I had heard something similar.

Heard that exact same thing
I was gonna say that ❤ Lost is the best show
i was skeptical of the title of the video but then he started playing the chords of that LOST song and i was like damn no he is right

Everything you play is like the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard. Thank you.
Stunning. Sublime. Love it. I’m off to practice.
this reminds me of "Giranice - The Dance Song" ... really beautiful intervals
Listen for about 15 seconds starting at 0:24, then listen to "Because" by the Beatles
🎶because the sky is blue🎶
Beautiful and peaceful indeed, with a soothing and meditative quality. Love!
Thank you for this meditative progression idea. Will master it )))

the sound of a beautiful sunset
Beautiful. It reminds me of the soundtrack to the film "The Road", by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis (track 2: the road)
