I'd have expected a 1 ton pickup pulling a 30' enclosed trailer would be more cost effective as far the shipping goes, unless that big rig had several kits? OK, just watched the entire video, the rig is setup pretty sweet! I'm a crane operator and certified rigger, and got a kick out of the gantry crane, his spreader bars, obviously very well thought out. And I assume it's all used for more than just one kit at a time. Says the guy who picked up his first S -7 kit at the factory and trucked it back to Idaho, in the middle of the winter, lashed down on the (heavy duty) lumber rack of my 1988 (small) Toyota flatbed!
In 10 minutes I can already tell you’re going to be a really resourceful builder for others! What are you going to use to log your hours building this S21? Do you think you’ll remain within 500 hours?
Thanks! 500hrs seems aggressively optimistic. I’m planning on double that, but who knows… maybe it goes together more quickly than I think it will. I’m targeting 24 months though.
@@Outbound300 yeah I think originally they pitched it at 500 hours but most guys are 1000 hours into it. Either way, I think you organized yourself really well to get started. Beautiful hangar and love that Cessna tail wheel!
I’m glad to catch one from the beginning. You don’t seem like a guy that will be taking 8 years to finish it either.

Definitely a pretty slick setup they have. They made one other delivery in Colorado on the way to my place.
