The registration on this plane was built in 1999 and says the owner lives in Florida and the engine is a Rotax. Would be nice to know which engine it really is...
You are not looking this up correctly. It is a Rans S21, and a Viking 150. The one from 1999 was the prior registration associated, a deregistered plane, if you look it up here you can see. registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/Search/NNumberResult Also it is clearly shown on the other videos what engine and aircraft it is, so not sure your speculation.
Love the Viking Engines!❤️
That airplane is a serious cross country hauler! I want one! Still banking on my #XRP to get me one!! 🤞😬
I'd like to see a Cessna 150 with a Viking 190
lol. Where on the internet have you seen how it takes the S-21 a long time to get off the ground???? I’ve literally NEVER seen that anywhere.
It does fine, and there are videos on TH-cam, in comparison to other aircraft we fly - it does fine, but not as much of a STOL aircraft as others
What’s your cruise speed with the Viking? My buddies S-21 with the Titan 340 is about 150-160mph
What kind of distance were you getting at about 50 to 60 feet agl? Also, what was the DA on that day? Thanks much.
What did you find the cruise speed was?
Hello, if you go two videos before this one you can see multiple settings and speeds throughout the video. It will give you some great information!
The reality is this could be different depending on power setting and altitude, but average around 120 knots, the video shows a scope

Did you actually think this was a 23 year old airplane with a Rotax?🤦🏻♂️
0-1000 feet 2.5 mins.. wow...and with only a 150 foot T/O roll!
1000ft climb in 2.5min would be 400fpm. Check your math. This demo climb to 1000ft took approx 60sec.
