Yes, that’s correct. I did some research when I bought the coin because I realized it was in an older holder that I hadn’t really seen before. The coin is stunning and it really looks undergraded. I’m surprised CAC didn’t gold sticker it.
I always tell people who want to start collecting is to get the Mega Red book, just a great book with some informative history and much more, great video and keep collecting, the greatest hobby in the 🌎
-Narrow the area you are interested, Morgan cc, pre33 civil war, or branch mints.. etc. avoid collecting everything(disagree your point but it’s just my opinion). -buy only quality coins. Thx for sharing
I understand what you are saying. I think it’s okay to specialize in particular area. I also think it’s okay to have a wide variety of coins. I’ve learned it’s pretty easy to research the values of coins and gain the knowledge necessary to make educated purchases.
@@jadonnoble5621 I think it is important for the person to decide if they are a collector or an investor. I have learned it is hard to be both. I think it is important to collect what you like and the investment return will take care of itself. Just my two cents. Thanks!
Haha I’m not sure if that’s exactly true. I think being a coin collector is great. The main issue I see is that many people who get into coin collecting don’t put in the effort of researching before purchasing coins.
Knowledge is power…
buy and sell like a dealer..use the grey sheet publications
Yes, that is definitely a great way to make sure you get a good deal.
Great content and advice
@@Michael-ec5zs thank you!
That Gettysburg is in a scarce 2.2 gen holder that was only used for 1 month between Dec 1989-jan 1990.

That’s some great advice. I don’t have a mega red book but that would definitely help. Thank you for the info!
Mega Red is great at showing you grades of raw coins, especially those you may not be that familiar with.
New edition comes out next month, about the same time the Red Book comes out,you could do a whole show on the Mega Red book.
@@mikesemones8333 I’ll check it out. Thanks for the info!
Have you checked out the Mega Red book yet,I still use my 2017 edition, lol, but not for pricing.
Well to free up resources to buy your favorite properly vetted coins, stay away from marriage or cohabitation. It's for your own good.
Haha you are definitely right there. Having a family would make it tough to buy many coins.

Always take your time buying a coin. Eventually, you will hit pay dirt.
Yes, exactly! Patience is key in coin collecting.
Your advice should be titled How "How Not Become a Victim from Being a Coin Collector Geek!!?".
