Literally fish camp restaurants all over Florida. Just across the Inlet in south New Smyrna is J B's Fish Camp. Very old also. Many rivers in Florida have Fish Camp restaurants.

Hey there Goodall family! We ride our bikes out there to eat and have a few beverages. Great atmosphere and good food. Another place we hit is DJ’s at the Dunlawton bridge before you go over to Beach St. Cool outside lunch place with the boats and the girls can feed the fish. Later buddy enjoy!!
I reviewed the Dairy Bar today at the bridge. Great chili dogs!

Another great review. We last ate there in September of 2020 during the COVID craziness. It was a great place to relax and enjoy good food and the fresh air. We also enjoyed the Racings North Turn review. For the last 35 years or so we have stayed at the Sandcastle South condos which is 3 buildings away from racings. It's great to walk 3 or so football fields down the beach to have dinner there and walk back to the condo so the grandkids can collect shells and catch sand crabs. The beaches in Ponce Inlet are really like private beaches. There is no driving allowed on the beach and they are not crowded. The girls might enjoy the Turtle Rescue at Ponce Inlet near the Lighthouse .Maybe you can show the Turtles your double snapin Turtle move! Take the girls to Norwoods in New Smyrna if you feel like a short drive. There is also a local shopping area a couple of blocks away. Dinner in the live oak treehouse is amazing if the weather is good!

I was hoping to see you at The Charlie horse in Ormond beach. They have all you can eat crab legs. I really wanted to see you there and then bring the check early and watch you give them a two plate penalty.

If I tried sampling out of my wife plate before she was done I probably would have had a fork in my hand.

That was Lighthouse Landing raw bar back in the day, Loved their scallops. They had a sign on a tree in the parking lot that said Ernest Hemingway peed on this tree, my dad didn't wanna feel left out so he did too...

I have several like those near my home south of Sarasota.
Linger Lodge - Bradenton FL
Nav-a-gator - Arcadia FL
Snook Haven - Venice FL
All have websites but I won’t embed the links as I know people don’t trust weblinks.
My favorite is Snook Haven. Good barbecue and often live music under oaks draped in Spanish moss. Right on the Myakka River.
It has a long history dating back to prohibition. And a Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan movie was filmed there back in the 1950s.
Check it out if you ever make it back to the Sarasota area

If you see Stone Crab Claws (Not Snow Crab) anywhere make sure you try them if you never have you will not be sorry. They are seasonal and I believe April is the last month. They are usually more available from Central Florida to South so you may not see them in Daytona. They have gotten more expensive over the years but are better than lobster. If you don't know much about them research on the web they are an interesting seafood since it does not kill the crab.
