Ye, when "tito Floren" leaves us... it will be very dark times. We've already experienced (at least me at my 41yo) other presidents like Mendoza, Sanz, Calderón... and they were terrible. Yeah, some of them won titles (Sanz won 2xCL), but economically Real Madrid was ruined with a debt over €600M. And we're not talking€600M of 2024... we're talking about €600M of the late 90s. He always put the club and the team over any player, getting rid of Di Maria, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ozil, Sergio Ramos... any player that came with threats asking for stupid amounts of money, thinking they were over anything else... well, he showed them the door. I've never seen such a good president, not in Real Madrid, in any other club, and certainly we won't have another Florentino after he's gone. Sad to think about it now. We should show him all the love while we can. Because he deserves it.

Henry is right, Real Madrid knows when to release legendary players in the squad, Ronaldo, Casemiro, Varane, and who to keep. Modric is 38 y.o, Kroos is 34 and RM keeps renovating their contracts. They are essential mentors to new midfield players like Bellingham, Tchoumeni or Camavinga. It's the reason RM keep winning CL, they know how to transition their squad.

Thierry said it right. Look how calm Madrid were when they had to chase a result against Barcelona. Modric and Kroos, the two old legs, you don't expect them to run like teenagers anymore. What you need from them is continuity and experience. They slow down the game, control the ball movements and poke for cracks in the defense of the opponents. The younger guys are watching and learning, especially Bellingham. Jude is very confident but brashful and egotistic at times. If he watches Modric and Kroos long enough, he'll probably learn how to bring his game up another level or two.

Management does a great job figuring out which players to bring in and which players to let go, but I think bringing in Mourinho in 2010 was a big part of how Madrid became 'the' dominant power in Europe it is today. Between 2002 and 2010, they were continually crashing out of the Champions League in the Round of 16, but ever since Mourinho came, outside of 2019 and 2020, Madrid has always advanced to the semifinals.
When Mourinho went to Madrid, the players adopted the mindset, "We're going to win by any means necessary," and their play has shown that. That tenacity towards winning has been passed on from Ramos, Pepe, Ronaldo, Benzema, Kroos, Marcelo, Modric, Casillas, Carvajal, and Casemiro to the new generation in Vini, Rodrygo, Valverde, Bellingham, Camavinga, and Tchoumeni.
Also, I think one of the reasons Madrid has been so dominant in the Champions League this past decade is that its managers are great at managing the locker room. In the years they have made deep runs in the Champions League, they had Ancelotti and Zidane, both of whom are great at managing superstar egos but are also super flexible in the fact that they are perfectly fine tweaking the formation to better maximize the team.

THE TALENT IS INSANE!! what titi said today coming from him. we lose players that scores 300 goals and also 400 goals. im talking about ronaldo and benzema. we still win CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WITH OUT RONALDO. also the final against liverpool 2022
dear people whom are a premier league fan or barca fan. hate on madrid all u want but the titles says alot of this team and the history!
even a legend as thierry henry says this team is good and also how the maage to get rid of top players and still compete for big titles and also win alot without big players.
i think galactico 3.0 will be insanely good for 2024/2025 campaign. sure we were not good against leipzig but still make the job to go trhue. dont forget not many teams plays 60 to 70 games per season like rel madrid.
we won without benzema being the vital in the final. the journey to the final it was benzema and vini show. we lose players like ronaldo, benzema and much more but we still find a way to build for the new generation.
not many teams can do that.
in 5 games we have been good in champions league. this two legs against leipzig was the best but in champions league is not always how u play. is how us ave the energy and play stretegic :D
real madrid with theese players always find away.
people say its luck that real madrid have. 14 champions league titles says another thing. the experience this team got and also building the new generation of talent by using modric and kroos as the veterans. u cant ask for more better legends to learn from.
i think we have been good in la liga this year with only 18 goals conceded! the statistic without alaba and militao is insane all alone this season. its talk about real scouting a center back in ligue 1 named leny. young and tall. he reminds of varane. imagine him and militao. i am impressed what i have seen in him.
rudiger has stepped up this season witout alaba and militao for a along time.
carlo ancelotti makes this team work with alot of injuries. that makes him a good trainer!
! for a while we had 7 players out of injuries nut still won difficul matvhes. thats not look thats experience and also good job with the management of carlo! people forget we have played rudiger and nacho half season and had have more then 36 injuries alone.
but at the same time we have been impressive this season. the only team that have beated real madrid is atletico.
mbappe will adapt too a 4-4-2 formation with vini on top with him. also play rodrigo in a 4-3-3 Bellingham behind rodrigo, mbappe and vini.
when we attack is 4-2-3-1 with mbappe alone up there. ancelotti can put any team or formation we will still win. that makes this team better then all in europe!
over two legs we havent been good but still always manage to go true because of this talent in this team.
we dont have to play good but if we have the players or in the right place and right time. this team is to much.
the history of madrid makes u wanna play in this team. we have more history then many teams out there! we have more success in this squad alone! we have more then 20 champions league titles togethere whom have won ins this current squad.
we still are in a growing phase.
this squad can learn alot from modric and kroos. the veteranes will show the way for the youngsters.
people say varmadrid but they are just jealous of this magnitude of this team.
this team alone can dominate europe for 8 years to come.
kroos will renew and also modric.
they can win 7-8 titles more and will end up with 30 trophies each.
the age of this team is soo young!
the old galactico with figo, beckham, zidane, ronaldo and also roberto carlos. they didnt won many champions league.
    its the formula.
not always the best players that makes the team unstoppable! right manager and right formula.
now we have bellingham, ibrahim, endrick, tchoumeni, camavinga, valverde, nico paz, ardda guler and soon mbappe.
    we will dominate europe !
we will make the ego mbappe work hard as vini at the defence. carlo manage to make star players work like a unite.
people hype city because they won it once.
not many team has won it 3 times in row! (champions league)
copa de reyes! it means king of europe for a reason!
fear madrid ins this years to come.
cama and tchoumeni is in the learning phase still.
they will play till they aare 30 and still dominate with valverde. put arda guler in the mix aswell!

The main thing isn’t then selling players at the right but the players above 30 want a 3 year contracts. They only offer 1 year contracts when you reach a certain age.
That’s why the players leave. Ramos was handed a contract offer and when he decided he wanted to stay, they took it back.
Casemiro got a 3 year deal with a massive salary at United. Same with Varane. That’s a no brainer. Real Madrid doesn’t let them go. You see Modric and Kronos are still playing. I think they are one of the few players who are okay with short term contracts.
That’s a strategy, but I wouldn’t say they get rid of players. Øzil was in his prime when he left Real Madrid. He wasn’t a overages player.
I really really like Henry’s insight, but he uses very bad examples and doesn’t always explain the whole context behind things. For him to say they knew when to let Øzil go?😂 Are you serious? They were missing him straight away. Same with Ronaldo.
I get his point but it’s about the length of the contract. The players would have still been there if they signed 1 year contracts. Some players want security while others can play with that uncertainty.

I´m real madrid fan and what says Henry is not right... he assumes Real Madrid managers have a cristal ball to see the future and how players will perform in the future, they dont... what Real Madrid do is to let go out any player who dont want to stay in the team... normally that happens because they got a better offer than what Real Madrid was offering (Casemiro, Varane, Di Maria), OR they got tired to stay at the bench (Isco, Asensio, Kovacic...) which is very good because 1) you only have players that fully want to stay in Real Madrid - 2) Players know if they ever get a super-offer from some other team, Real Madrid is going to let them go easily as longer as the other team offer something reasonable.... also Real Madrid no longer offer long extensions of contract to players older than 30 years old, and start to work based on their last year performance rather than in their expected future performance

It's not the manager lol.. It's Perez that's make the decisions, guess you never give what he actually said... Perez has been running the club this way as always.. Like you said if they bring trouble or their legs started giving up, he will get rid of them regardless of their star power... But the replacement Is where Perez and the scouts shines... While vini is on top of his game now, they still have endrick in the making for the future

Except they didn’t get rid of half of the players he mentioned. Saying they got rid of Ronaldo is crazy, when he left after carrying them to a CL trophy and winning the Balon D’or (which was given to Modric for reasons no one knows). He left because they refused to raise his salary, at which point he could’ve stayed but he wanted to show that if they don’t value him enough, he can go somewhere else and still be great. Which he did. I mean, sure, he didn’t win the CL, but he was the best striker in Italy; he had an incredible season in the PL with the worst MU team; and he became the top scorer of 2023 with Al Nassr.

Refusing. to raise Ronaldo's salary is the same as letting him go. A no is a no. And no, he didn't win Trophies anymore, did he. Which is all that matters according to some.

They get rid of Ronaldo. He didn't said I want to leave. He said give me a raise from 20M to 30M euros (Messi was winning 40M in Barca) or I'll leave, and Florentino Perez said you're not getting the raise. If you're not happy with that, bring me a 100M euros offer and you're free to go. And no CR7 didn't win anything relevant after Madrid. Its easy, when he left Madrid he had won 4 UCLs in 4 years, and 4 of the last 5 Ballon D'Ors, and he was tied with Messi. How many has Messi now and how many CR7? Went to Juve and failed misserably twice on the UCL, then went to ManUtd only to destroy the legacy he had there, and then went to play in Arabia. 😂🤦‍♂️

Not a matter of money but of dignity. What Ronaldo sought was for Real Madrid to pay off his tax debts, and Real Madrid said no. Since Cristiano had played at the highest level for Real Madrid, and the club a) was grateful for that and b) did not want to have an unsatisfied star in the locker room, they told Cristiano: bring €100M and go wherever you like. And that was the end of it.
