  • The transfer window hasn’t even opened, but already one of the sagas of the summer looks concluded; the future of Jude Bellingham.
Amid an unlikely Bundesliga title charge with Borussia Dortmund, it’s been reported that the English sensation is on the brink of a blockbuster move to Real Madrid, for a fee that could soar over €120m once negotiations are concluded.
The capture of Bellingham would be a major win for Los Blancos given he is also wanted by Manchester City. If he joins, the 19-year-old will join Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde as part of a new-look midfield, destined to replace the Modric and Kroos collaboration that has dominated European football for so long.
It is not only the midfield where Los Merengues have future proofed. The squad is brimming with elite young talent, ensuring the clubs insatiable appetite for silverware will rumble on for another decade at least.
But what’s interesting about the new Real Madrid is the lack of superstar additions joining in their prime that has defined their success for so long. Instead, the Spanish giants have made a deliberate shift towards youth to build the side going forward. The question is, why? In this Football Daily Explained, we are digging into Los Blancos’ new recruitment strategy, to see how they secretly became the smartest club in Europe.

You cannot say Bale was a failure at Madrid. To me he's a legend of the club and sure he's career did not come to a great ending but he was there for huge moments in Madrid's history

Courtois for 35M is one of the most underrated Madrid purchases of the last 10 years

The reason rm's this strategy is successful is because they get young great players when the old guard is still there so they can learn n not get pressurized immediately,

How can u put Hazard & Bale in the same sentence. Let me remind u Bale was a huge success, scored 106 goals, 67 assists. Won 5 champions league, 3 LaLiga. In 2018 Bale & Zidane had some issues, after that his career went into a turmoil.

Im a barca fan, but even i (and most barça fans secretly) can admit Madrid is by far the best run and most successful club in the wolrd. I have nothing but absolute repect for them (and envy😅).

Juni Calafat's scouting has been special ever since he joined Madrid in 2014. Despite the fact that most of these youngsters were well known, it was he who pushed through these deals. Best examples are Rodrygo and Vini who were approached by Barcelona before Madrid. Kroos was a steal for Madrid as well as Di Mari who was later sold for 3x the price that Madrid bought him for.

I'm a fan of Real Madrid since 2002 and I love how Real changed the way of making transfers and the transfer politic overall...Investing in young talented players instead of buying "stars" from everywhere...The team that Real Madrid have now and the way how they are progressing is the best ever and scary 🔥👑

Bale scored a bicycle kick after coming off the bench to win them the Champions League a long with many other moments. I wouldn’t call him a failure.

I think that how happy players are at madrid is key. All these youngsters love the club, they learn it from the veterans: Modric, Kroos, Benzema, Casemiro, Marcelo, etc. Many of them could perhaps make more money in PSG or the premier league, but there's nowehere they will be as happy as in Madrid. In other clubs you face ego duels between players, bad relationship with the manager, toxic fans, etc.

The changes from buying already made superstars like modric, bale, kroos, Ronaldo and switching to players like vini Jr who was an unknown talent etc this has to be the smartest move compared to barca who still seem to be trying to buy experienced superstars and it doesn't work all the time

Real Madrid are simply a proper run football club they invest really well in getting the best young players in the world and run their club very well. Chelsea need to learn a thing or 2 on this and with how Real Madrid run their club, PSG need note taking on this and learn that making actual footballing decisions will contribute to having long term success in the champions league.
