    Hi, everyone, I’m Audrey from Janus Academy, an established language school based in Singapore. We focus on teaching Chinese and Japanese, specialize in Chinese phonetics. Hope you find our videos interesting and educational.
    In this series, I am going to show to you how to write hanzi - Chinese characters. Writing Chinese characters is like building blocks. Once you know all the basics, it's actually not complicated to follow the steps and complete the whole piece. This episode is on radicals - the part which gives meanings for every character. Hope you find it useful.

    This channel is pure gold. Perfect pace, everything is written and clearly pronounced in both English and Chinese. Also, I like that you don't repeat, cause it compresses the video and I can rewind if I need to watch sth again anyway.

      I teach Chinese language in a creative and funny way.
      Chinese characters still retain their pictographic origins. Knowing what the characters look like originally can help understand the meanings and remember them vividly.
      I’ve spent about 100,000 hours studying English humor and Western culture, and many years studying Chinese culture and jokes. My native language is Chinese.

    • @audnicnana
      @audnicnana 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha maybe because tea was originated from China, even the word "tea" came from a Chinese dialect :)

    • @fabiosoares810
      @fabiosoares810 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, :) In other languages I know and studied, tea is either etmologically from tea ( té in Spanish, Tee in German), or chá (in Portuguese, чай [chai] in Russian). One exception is herbata in Polish. Interesting how words are borrowed from peoples.
