Hi, I'm a nearly 80 year old Australian and have been practicing writing Chinese character for a little while. There is a beauty to the strokes that seem artistic which appeals to me. Your three lessons have been very helpful and encourages me to continue, even though I'm not sure what some of the characters mean. Your building blocks analogy helped a lot
    Thank you
    Alan

It's an coincident! I started study Mandarin 國語 4 years ago at the age of 68. The first year brought me some annoyances and I thought I would give up some days, but I forced myself to learn when I recalled Confucius quote: "It doesn't matter how slow you are as long as you're not going to stop." 孔子有句名言:“只要你不停下來,不管你走得多慢.” So I kept carrying study and I have some progress.
