Easy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars!

- Easy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars recipe! These cookie bars are delicious! If you love cookies you have to try these bars. Let's make the best and easiest cookie bar recipe and they're so easy to make, just follow along to make it.
All you need is:
Ingredients
(8oz) 225 g unsalted butter softened
(Generous 3/4 cup)150 g light brown sugar
(6 tbsp) 75 g granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
(2 1/4 Cups) 270 g plain flour
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 tsp salt
(1 3/4 cups) 400g g semi-sweet chocolate chips + choc chips for topping
Sprinkle of sea salt (optional)
How to make them.
Instructions:
Heat the oven to (350F) 180C/160C (fan) and line an 8x10" baking tray with parchment paper
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and both sugars with an electric hand whisk or stand mixer until light and fluffy
Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix until combined
Fold in the plain flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula until just combined
Pour in the chocolate chips and fold through the mix until evenly distributed
Scoop the mix into your prepared tin and spread it out evenly to the edges
Press the rest of the chocolate chips into the top of your cookie dough
Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges and top of the cookie are golden, with a slight wobble in the middle
Whilst still warm, sprinkle the sea salt on the top. This step is optional but recommended
Allow to cool fully in the tin
Ingredient tips:
FYI - Bicarbonate of soda is baking soda in the US
FYI - Plain flour is all-purpose flour in the US
TIP - Grams are much more accurate than cups, if you like to bake, a simple weighing scale is such a big help and very useful to have in the kitchen.

This tastes best in an 8x8 glass baking dish. It retains nore of the moisture and flavour. It will spend a long time cooling though.
