I don’t do yard sales. It annoys me that I work so hard to get ready and the people come and want to pay nothing. It means more to me to donate so others can use it!
My parents have always had baby items at their house for their grandchildren. It is such a blessing knowing that I can bring the kids there after a long day and I don't have to bring everything along!

My cousin, sister and I used to have garage sales, but it got to be too much work, or maybe we just got too old! LOL We’re empty nesters, but it’s amazing how much stuff we still accumulate. I just decluttered and organized EVERY nook and cranny of our home and donated everything. I suffer from severe fibromyalgia, so having everything clean and organized is important for my mental health. As much of a clean freak as I am I just have a hard time keeping up with the heavy cleaning, so I have 2 wonderful ladies who do that for me which is such a blessing. By decluttering and organizing I made cleaning for them much easier which is what I wanted. Your vlogs are wonderful, and I really enjoy your content. Make sure you take care of yourself and don’t overdo anything.❤️❤️❤️
Oh boy! You are brave Arika! We had a yard sale several years ago. A couple of women knocked on our door at 9pm the night before and wanted a preview! 😳. My girls said they would run the next one. Maybe!

A tip if it helps is rather than pricing up everything individually, have price zones so put all items that are say $2 in one place and so on then just individually price larger items might save you a job. 😘🙏❤️

We just had a community garage sale this past weekend. Sold so much stuff. Made over $1700. Clothes didn’t sale that good but shoes did. Purses too.
Wow! Same with me in last year. Now everything looked good and more rooms! Feel good!

Arika, you wore me out watching you go through so many places in your home and being ruthless! Your sale will be a success since you’ve done so much to get ready for it. When you grabbed the teal star, I was sad and as if you heard me, you kept it! You are an amazing motivator!
Wow you have a lot of nice things. You should do well! We had a church yard sell every year until this year and we sold lots of clothes. We had them priced cheap and at 12 they clould fill a bag for $5
The star is great but if you want to use it but not all the time . I have some ideas : paint it to match 4 th of July for decor or paint for a Christmas star . Just a thought so you can keep but not use all the time .
We do a block sale every year. At my house we do all of our clothes for$2. They sell great. Cheaper than Goodwill. 😉

What a huge job! Good for you! When my children moved out and lived where they had enough storage, I simply gave them their boxes of belongings. I felt they'd be most comfortable going through them without me watching. Easier for us all! Good luck with the sale. I haven't done one in years.

I'm a member of a local free site and I give away alot of clothes from my grandkids that don't fit anymore..and for holidays I donate $ so the site can buy for the kids for easter and christmas

I’ve been decluttering for three weeks now because I sold my home and I’m moving. My husband passed away three years ago and it’s just time to start a new chapter. I hope your yard sale goes well. I did one last year and made very little money and it was so much work. I’m going to sell things online that are worth very much and everything else is going to charity next time.

How does anyone accumulate so much stuff? I ask myself every time I declutter. I always take the clothes to the Salvation Army drop box, and house decorations and stuff like that I usually just give to neighbors and friends. But you did a great job on this one. You have to feel so much better after getting rid of all that.
I am in the process of decluttering my home. I have the same saying: If I haven't used or worn it in a year, it goes. I'm taking my stuff to our hospital thrift shop.
