Just received my Navitas 4KW 600 AMP kit today. I have a 1999 DS club car and had a question. I want to update the solenoid to a 48V 400 AMP MZJ-400. It has a resistor and a diode that comes with it. Do I need them? It also say Notice: Please set the starting power at 120W-170W, keep power at 5W-11W, otherwise the solenoid may be burned out. Never did a upgrade and was hoping for your help. Thank you for all of your videos
I noticed there is a pretty substantial delay between putting the pedal down and getting acceleration from the cart in this video. Have you noticed this on other Navitas installations? I just installed a Navitas AC kit and am unable to find out what's causing this on my cart as well.
@@PlumQuickRacing First off thanks for the video. That's good to know that you can run 72 volts with this Navitas ac kit wish I would have known that before I purchased my 48 volt Roy pow battery. I'm just in the process of installing the ac kit. I just had one question and I hope it's not a stupid one but did you connect the positive battery cable to the positive or negative side of the coil? I'm assuming it is on the positive side but I didn't hear you mention what side. Thank you!!!
Done the whole conversion only getting about 28-30 out of it. Same 400a solenoid, 600 amp controller, 5k kit. 23 inch tires. 07 precedent. Can’t get more than 5200 rpm.
@@PlumQuickRacingI have a one year old Evolution Lipo 48v 105ah lithium battery installed in my 2010 club car DS cart. That should be plenty battery for 27-30mph shouldn’t it?
Is there a way to contact you ? Plumquick had me look at ur video to connect my navitas n motor up but we are running into a problem u might know the answer to

You don't use the resistor or diode with the AC conversion
Seems this package from plum quick is identical to the Navitas Controller and Motor kits available. Is it basically the same kit?
Can only get 32 mph on my club car precedent on 20.5” wheels. How can I get it faster?

Can I call you when I install mine for help with my install?
Do you have an a/c kit for 72 volts? I remember putting 72 through my plum quick motor and it was fun till the armature came apart...lol
Yes, you can run 72 volts on the AC kits.

I installed the 5kw motor & 600 amp controller. Got up to 37 mph with 23 in wheels. Next step Li batteries...might be worth a couple more mph. 😀

What's the voltage at full speed?
@@PlumQuickRacing starting out with full charge on FLA. 48 volt set up. Voltage drop to about 48-47 from 50-51.
How many miles can you get on wet lead battries with that set up
Good pack, around 25 miles
What’s the max speed of if I have 10” or 12” wheels on no lift?
48 volts around 35mph, 72 volts 40+mph with a good quality battery pack

Do you have an opinion about Optima Yellow Top batteries?
Sorry, I've never used them.
My app does not look that way? Is there two apps?
