This year because of car repairs, a broken washer and being off work for 3 months money will be tight for gifts. Your videos and what I have on hand will allow me to gift unique presents. Thank you for sharing your expertise!
Not a Canadian but with hubby being one, Timmy’s is one of my favorite place to hit (daily, twice a day some days), when we are up there!! Love what you did with those canisters!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been saving about 6-7 coffee cans not knowing what to do with them but I refused to throw them away. I love this project. I love how the lid and the can came out. Definitely doing this with my coffee cans.
I was wondering how high your IQ is, because that protector sheet with water is simply genius! Learning that is going to save my Christmas crafts, not to mention my sanity. Thank you.
What a great project! Must say I can't believe you cut that live edge wood 😲 l would love to get ahold of wood slabs like that! Won't happen in the us.
Thanks for watching Debra! We have friends that are building a log home and have sooooo much of this ! I am always bringing a few pieces home when I visit
😯😯😯😯😯 I am in awe! What a cool project.👍🏻 I'm a complete dummy when it comes to computer stuff, so I had NO idea that you could trick a printer into printing on a napkin! And that transfer process! I learned so much from this one video. I'm new to your channel, so I'll definitely be checking out some more of your videos. Thanks, From California.🥰
A nice idea. I liked the idea of gluing the wood to the main lid, because I always wonder when I see some people dispense with it and put a wooden lid that is not tightly closed, and I wish they would stick it to the main lid of the box.
OMG 😳 this is a game changer 😁 I decopodge napkins all the time and also use cans but the wood lid is beautiful 😍. The tip for the lint roller is genius 😂. Your videos are great and I can't wait to make my own napkins. Have you made a napkin before with a family photo???
This turned out great. I like the water method you used. No rubbing the paper off!! Did the placement of the screws in the lid keep it from sealing on the can? I thought it looked like they would. Thanks Deidre
Thank you so much for sharing #gorgeous. Question -how do you store these cans without becoming a hoarder-i get in trouble with my family all the time! Any advice welcome 🙏
I’m drinking Tim Hortons coffee ☕️ while I watch this. I did have a question 🙋♀️. I have a laser jet printer. When you spray the hair spray over the napkin to keep the ink from the napkin from spreading. Do you spray the top of the ink? Or the back? Thank you. It’s been a year but maybe you’ll see the message.
Lovve lovvve lovvvvvvve it!!! Soooo I've had the ingredients to make the chalk paint for...well...since i started watching you...& i went exactly by your recipe & ohh myyyy!!!😳😱🥺😂😭🤦♀️😲😔 it was like pure water so i kept adding & adding P.O.P & I'm curious if it's too thick or evn too thin will it work exactly the same?? More so too thick...bc to me it's STILL runny after adding P.O.P several more times..idk what the heck i did wrong! 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️😲😲😲😔😔😔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔😯😯😯😯😄😄
Oh wow I thought you might get a kick out of this bt i was watching random glass jar videos & i stumbled on2 one place & there were lots of questions bt the people just wouldn't answer any questions so random people were telling them to go watch you & in multiple comments people were tagging your paint recipe....😳😲😄 you little popular thing you!!!! Lol ;)❤
Hmmm!! That weird… i wouldn’t add more plaster of Paris I would add more paint . It will completely harden on you if it has too much plaster of Paris❤️ if you send me a pic over on Facebook I might be able to tell what went wrong more
In my area the store brands are still in cans. Wal-mart has a Great Value brand called Donut shop ground coffee and I like it, they also have a Columbian that I like. Do you remember when Coffeemate came in cans? They had smooth sides, no ridges like my coffee cans do. I hated it when they went to the plastic for the large containers. I also buy all sizes of the Coffeemate jars because they make the cutest, easy, snowmen.

Haha! My husband is hoarding the metal coffee tins for his workshop, I'm going to try to steal a few of them back for this project!
Mine will throw metal coffee cans away, but he takes my plastic dish pans, plastic coffee cans, etc. "Oh, you needed that? I'm sorry!"
Yes!! He wont miss them lol... Thanks for watching Sonya

Glad you like it! Thanks for watching Susie
GREAT way to recycle! Wonder if this will work in plastic coffee cans! 🤔
Yes it will but will have to spray it first with a primer spray paint :)
I still need to try the water technique. You make it look so easy! Thanks again for another great tutorial!
So easy!! Give it a try Nancy
Good job ,really 👏
Thank you! 😃
Que lindo, parece antiguo 👍👏

Thanks for watching Jan! You can print anything you like on a napkin and it will work!
This turned out great. I like the water method you used. No rubbing the paper off!! Did the placement of the screws in the lid keep it from sealing on the can? I thought it looked like they would. Thanks Deidre
No all was good . I had a flush screw that I put in . Thanks for watching !
You're very clever and I'm so impressed! Would using normal blank tissue paper for wrapping work the same.
Yes it sure would
🙌❤
Thanks for watching
So awesome! Great idea with the engine enamel! My question is, does it have a yellow tint when it dries?
Thanks for watching Jana! I don't find it yellows at all
Love this. Thanks for sharing this with us. I have a question.. do you save the rest of the napkin you cut off and stamp them? Or would that work?
Certainly would ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing #gorgeous. Question -how do you store these cans without becoming a hoarder-i get in trouble with my family all the time! Any advice welcome 🙏
Good question! I keep telling my family that i am NOT a hoarder, I am a pack rat.
I actually have my own workshop shed.... so they cant see my hoard... lol
You don't want to see my glass jars hoard... yikes...
❤
Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed.
Could you use tissue paper instead of the napkin?
Yep you sure can! Thanks for watching Michele
How do you get that coffee smell out?
Can you explain where in the process to use hairspray if using an inkjet printer please?
After you print it then you’ll spray it let it dry and then decoupage it
I’m drinking Tim Hortons coffee ☕️ while I watch this. I did have a question 🙋♀️. I have a laser jet printer. When you spray the hair spray over the napkin to keep the ink from the napkin from spreading. Do you spray the top of the ink? Or the back? Thank you. It’s been a year but maybe you’ll see the message.
If you have a laser printer, you don’t need to do any of those steps. The steps with the hairspray are only if you have an ink jet printer.
@@OurUpcycledLife thank you!
HI, I don't see the link to the the custom nakpins as you say?. Thanks

Haha!! Love it ❤️ not much good making tutorials and then if someone has a problem you don’t help them out!! I try my best to reply to everyone 🌸
Does the paint make the food smell or taste bad
No I have not seen that problem
Why didn't you take the paper off the container before painting?
This is a carboard container not tin. Thanks for watching
Plus how many of us hav a jigsaw???
Can you use colored ink?
Yes you can
@@OurUpcycledLife thank you. I just discovered your channel and I love it. You are so talented!!

R u from Canada
Yes I sure am I’m in Ontario🇨🇦
Darn, so cute, but no coffee canister any more, they're all plastic
In my area the store brands are still in cans. Wal-mart has a Great Value brand called Donut shop ground coffee and I like it, they also have a Columbian that I like. We can still get quite a few tin cans here but alot are plastic. Thanks for watching Kim
I have seen the coffeemate snowmen and they are cute!!
Instead using the original Iid why not cut 2 peace of wood one small enough that will slide inside the can that way it should last a life time .
I wanted a good seal on it with plastic lid
U can't find coffee cans any more they r all plastic now.
I’m in Canada and a lot are either cardboard or tin still ❤️
Love this! Creative and super adorable
Glad you like it! Thanks for watching Jennifer
